    A-1 Piano Tuning
It went extremely well. We've got a full size upright Korean Young Chang piano. It's about 25 years old. We've always tried to keep it in tune. Moved it at the end of last year from out of state. Finally got around to have tuned this Summer. Hired A-1 based on reviews. The piano has NEVER sounded this good! Mark did a far superior job than any previous tuner by using electronic computerized "tuner" and his ear. Used both methods then played the piano for a bit until fine tuned every single note. In the past with other tuners we've been dis-satisfied especially with the low end or the high end. Mark continued until EVERY note was perfect. Came on time. Was able to schedule promptly. Price was fair. But the cost is beside the point. He did a magnificent job and he obviously takes pride in the professional work he does. We have never been this satisfied with a piano tuner. I do not give this kind of review lightly.

They delivered it on time and quickly. They removed our old furniture and only charged $10 per piece for the removal. When my power chair wasn't working, they came right over and fixed the issue. The prices were very reasonable, and the furniture is top quality.

I had a 5-year old GE stove which broke right before Thanksgiving. GE
promised to send a repairman and never did. I decided to shop for a new
stove at a local, small business rather than at one of the big chain stores. I am SO happy that I did.
The salesman at Dick Cooper Appliances in Torrington CT was wonderful.
He was knowledgeable and very helpful. My stove and microwave were
delivered when promised and to my surprise, the salesman came with the
delivery man to show me how to operate my new Frigidaire stove! How
often does that happen in this world. I was so impressed. Dick
Cooper's Appliances assures me that they and quot;service what they selland quot; so I
will be shopping there from now on for my appliances and t.v.'s. I
can't say enough great things about my experience with the wonderful
    folks at Dick Cooper's.

    Pilgrim Furniture City - Southington
I give them an F rating because the stuff just falls apart. They did return the first set so I give them an A and the girl that returned the furniture was very professional but I didn't like anyone else there, I would never go there again and wouldn't tell people about it.

Some facts first: §  This is a family run business §  One of the daughters oversees the nearer part of the business §  The business consists of Pat, her husband (delivery, hard labor), her daughter, her other daughter, and her other daughter’s boyfriend (who also delivers) My fiancé and I were looking for living room furniture (sofa + loveseat, coffee table and end table). We decided to check out Pat’s Pizzazz because it was local and they have free delivery.  We went in and looked at the couches / loveseats etc. I liked one but we waited a week to think it over and to put the deposit down. We ended up choosing a couch/loveseat set, a coffee table and an end table. This totaled approximately $1200.00.  We put down a deposit for $200.00 and asked that they be delivered on June 4th.  They said that they would order them 2 weeks in advance and deliver them on that date. We went and paid for the couch/loveseat on the 3rd and put the end table and the coffee table on layaway with a $100.00 deposit, which then meant we owed $355.00. After paying she gave us excuse after excuse of why she could not deliver the furniture the following day. Her excuses were “the guy that I trust to deliver cut his foot really bad,” and then in the next sentence gave another excuse for the same person, “he has to go out with his girlfriend because tomorrow is her birthday.” So being understanding people we said ok when is the next date you can deliver them then? She said the 7th was the next date that she could deliver on. The 7th rolled around and nothing we received no call to say if they were delivering so I again called her. She said that the pieces (couch/loveseat) had come in but there was something wrong with the loveseat so they sent it back, and they did not have anyone to deliver the couch. My fiancé then talked to her and said that he wanted the piece and that we had already paid for it. She said that she would try to find some way to get it to us and called back ten minutes later saying she had temp guys to deliver it. She then gave us a date for delivery of Thursday the 9th   , for the loveseat.  On the 8th I was lint rolling the sofa and found that it had a snag or tear in the fabric. I immediately called Pat and told her and stated that I was going to take pictures on my phone which are then date stamped and proof of this imperfection. She said this was fine and when her guys delivered the loveseat she would have them look at it.  Every time we would call to ask where she was or when our stuff was going to be delivered she would talk over us and give one excuse after another.   She then stopped giving exact times and said she could not guarantee anything because nothing was sure in life. There was one thing for sure this was that she had $953.00 of our money and we had no product in return. So Thursday rolled around again no phone calls we again had to call her and ask where our stuff was. She told us our loveseat had not come in yet and could give no estimate of when it was. We had to corner her into giving us a day when she thought the truck from the supplier would arrive. The date she gave was Tuesday the 14th. Tuesday came no calls from her I finally called at about 1pm only to get more excuses. She acted as though we were to blame saying that we had ordered the tables and not paid for them,  that they were sitting in her bathroom taking up space (really bathroom????!!!), and that she had helped us out . We were astounded at the lack of professionalism that this women and her entire family had shown but it only seemed to get worse as the days went on. Wednesday came around and we called as soon as they opened to see what the deal was for the switching of the couch and actually receiving the loveseat.  When we asked when we would be receiving our products she started to talk over us and then promptly hung up on us. We decided to go down there and talk to her face to face. When we arrived her husband was there getting ready to do deliveries, along with another random guy. So we asked what the deal was with our stuff. She then went straight to the excuse book that she obviously owns and gave us a number of excuses why we were not getting our stuff and she would call us when she received our couch and loveseat.  We also wanted let her know that we no longer wanted the coffee table or the end table and that we would like to use the store credit toward something in the store. She gives no refunds only store credit. We picked out a nightstand, she walked over to see which one we wanted and we showed her it was the one with the price. She then started to take the tag off and said that the item was priced wrong by her daughter. My fiancé was appalled at her actions and walked away saying that it was very convenient to her and now we were getting further screwed. She then started screaming that we didn’t need to laugh at her that she would just give it to us for that ticketed price. We made her make a receipt and we left it was like talking to a barking dog that wore blue eye shadow. I called her after my fiancé went to work (about 4pm) because I needed to go out and do laundry, because we do work and have lives and she could not estimate a time when they would be delivering. So I called, she said that they were already on their way to my place and asked if I was there. I said yes and asked her why she did not call before like she had said.  She said that she was so busy she could not. So shortly after they delivered the couch and loveseat, they said that they have to take all the plastic off to inspect the merchandise before the delivery. So upon delivery there was a grease stain on the corner top of the new couch I decided to let it slide because I think that I should be able to get it out. I showed the delivery guy (who happened to be one of the daughters boyfriends) the snag on the couch that they had initially brought, he looked at it and told me it was a stain and I was insane to think that it was more. They were rude and all around idiots who have no idea what customer service entails. He then went to go give me the pillows and greased one of the new pillows so I had to request that it be switched with one of the old pillows (from the old couch).  Oh and we went by the showroom to see if we had received the couch from the showroom and sure enough it was no longer there. I think that Pat waits to get your money then orders the merchandise but if this is so why lie constantly? Also for all the family run businesses my grandmother ran a business and is still successful today. This is due in large part to word of mouth advertisement. This business Pat is running is nothing but customer service really, she makes no products she is simply a retailer who happens to be awful at what she does. If there are spelling or grammar mistakes I apologize, I am a bit unhappy about what just happened, thank you for taking the time to read.

We tend to buy our appliances there because they have a military discount, and my husband is retired military. I really appreciate that.
