Basement & Foundation reviews in Stamford

Excellent!! His quote was incredibly competitive and once he got started, if anything went over, we discussed it first. Max is honest, professional, and reliable. His crew is fabulous and Max is hands on, making sure everything is done perfectly and on time. He's so awesome that I've already referred him to others and will definitely be hiring him again for my next renovation project big or small.

They decided waterproofing 3 walls of my basement was sufficient for the job. While it is a messy undertaking, they tried to minimize the dust. They were on time, thorough, extremely professional. The owner, Bill McLachlan, patiently answered all my questions! I had bids from several other larger companies. They tried to sell me on the product they had patented instead of what I needed. Basement Solutions tailored the job to my needs - and was the lowest cost. Also, Basement Solutions guarantee was straightforward and only one paragraph, not several pages and full of fine print.

Palladino correctly diagnosed a life safety concern with out system (which I disregarded and subsequently fell through the cover!) He measured and had two custom made covers prepared. He installed and neatly recovered with soil. He also moved a couple boulders in the yard at wife's request since backhoe was there! Price quoted was very competitive.

The noted problem resulted in a failure that caused a minor injury. We notified Stright of the issue and he stated he wrote the report to accommodate the seller (even though it was a life safety issue) and the provided a repair quote of $800. The firm that did the independent inspection provided a quote to perform the emergency repair and the other issues noted in their report for $700 ( a scope of work twice that quoted by Stright). Subsequently, we discovered the following "A septic company owner has been arrested as he faces allegations of dumping waste into Stamford city sewers to avoid disposal fees, police said. Stright Septic owner Robert Aillery, 58, of Stamford, turned himself into police on Thursday following an investigation stemming from Stamford Water Pollution Control Authority's May of 2013 complaint that spanned a year and a half." Z Gorski and his associate, Sal Longo, could not follow architect's plans. They made numerous mistakes and refused to properly fix them according to architect's direction. They over billed us, stole materials from the job site and finally vandalized our property causing tens of thousands in damage. The police had to be called two times to remove them from the project.

Each team of workers came in and completed their part of the job in a courteous manner: sheetrock, electric, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, painting carpeting, in perfect order. Each day they showed up on time and each evening that crew cleaned up. They arranged inspectors, permits, everything to perfection. We are still raving to our friends about this company. I waited to be asked to write a review so I apologize for this late entry.

Excellent. Luc Richard, the owner, was very responsive. He communicated clearly what had to be done and why and what it would cost. The work was done professionally. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their service

Christian (owner) was very professional and has very good subject matter knowledge. He identified that our basement was a monopour and would require slightly different treatment compared to traditional waterproofing methods. He explained the process he would be performing and eventually we agreed upon price/date for the work.

On the work day, he and his team arrived on time and started the work. Crew was professional and responsive to all our questions. Christian left after explaining the work and then would come on and off to check and provide his guidance as and when needed. Sometime he would stay longer to ensure work is done as expected. The foreman was also very knowledgeable and resourceful to get things done. Work was completed on time and as expected. After the work we had one issue with disposal of water but it was more of a plumbing issue than waterproofing. Its been a month since work was done and so far we have not seen any seepage/water. Will have to wait few more months to ensure all dampness goes away and system is working as expected.

Christian also recommends and uses a specific brand sump pump with battery backup which has some sort of monitoring service which you have to pay a monthly fee. Monthly fee is to the company and not Sundahl. Monitoring service is optional but gives you information on status of pump and how much water it pumps out. So useful to keep a tap on things.

One area of improvement  I can think of in their service would be if they can properly cover all the items (with cloth/tarp) that you can't move out of basement.

Overall we were very happy with work and will definitely recommend Sundahl Restoration Team to friends and family.

It was a very easy experience. I was very appreciative since this work was being done on my deceased in-laws home, that was  2 hours away from us, and was being put up for sale. They coordinated with my realtor who had the keys to the house.  I believe my relator even asked for a few more things to be done. In short flexible, professional, stress free.

It went pretty well.  On time and professional.  Happy with the work overall.
I purchased a deal through Angie's List, but not sure if I recommend this method in general.  In this instance, the painting time I purchased didn't cover as much work as I thought, and I feel I was nickeled and dimed over the length of time it took to complete the job.  I recommend getting a quote for the entire job before proceeding and not pre-paying, because a deal isn't really a deal when the final invoice comes.  That way you know exactly what you're getting for the price and there's no ambiguity.
