Carson Richard Kitchen And Bath Designs
Although the price was higher than other estimates we chose to go with Carson Richard based on other recommendations. Best thing we ever did. Not only was the work done on time (we had a deadline to meet), the quality of the work and the team was superb. They even hooked up my old sink and partial countertop so it was usable while waiting for the granite to be installed. When a tile placement wasn't quite what I wanted, it was removed immediately and repositioned to my liking. DJ was the best at his craft and gave me suggestions based on other projects he's done. My house was always cleaned up when they left and I always knew what not to touch and for how long. Nicole was always there to help with ideas and to keep me informed of the schedule. She assured me that minor changes and additions that were not documented would be accommodated without issue or cost and she was right. Rich did a lot of the work and was there to oversee the work others did. Several times he didn't like the way something looked and he made his team redo it. He also found a solution to successfully hide wiring that I didn't like. Very accommodating people! When the job was done, they left my house cleaner than when they started. When it's time to do my bathroom, they are the only ones I will call to do the work. I highly recommend this company. From experience I know that you get what you pay for. I would be willing to speak with anyone about my experience with Carson Richard.

Christian and his team did a great job. They were efficient, courteous clean and always on time. He was very pleasant and very attentive to every detail. When they left the jobsite things were always clean. The workmanship is very good and I would recommend him again and again.

    One Stop Remodeling
We found David through Angie's List when he posted a deal: $1500 for 40 hours of general contracting labor. Based on that, he inspected the work and gave a quote of roughly $1700. We thought that was reasonable, assuming it would take about 40 hours of effort. As it turns out, he had 1 guy out for most of one day to do the wall repair, and 2 guys out for most of another day to do the floor. If he was able to offer a deal of $1500 for 40 hours, this level of effort makes $1700 seem very high. Initial inspection looked good, and we signed off on the work. We did note a couple of irregularities with the flooring: our baseboard heating units were no longer flush to the wall, one of which was because a piece of trim had been jammed behind it! David sent his guys back to fix it, and they obviously "rushed it" - when David came to collect final payment, I showed him what they had done, and he actually had to fix it once again. Unfortunately, due to another emergency project that came up, we didn't get a chance to come back to the office project for a few weeks after David left. When we did finally come down to paint, and took a really close look at the wall rebuild, we realize that it had several flaws. The new wall board was already cracked end-to-end along a seam. The new shelf juts out in front of exist molding on the side wall, rather than being cut around it. And above the new shelf, a cut-out in the existing wallboard was left open, with just a piece of painting tape covering it. All in all, we got the feeling that our job was too "little" to get the full attention of David and his crew. The work seemed rush and sloppy. I would not recommend him.

    Sir Grout Hartford
We had Sir Grout repair and stain the tile grout in our main bathroom, both the shower and floor. Though I felt the price was high, there are no other competitors anymore (there used to be one, another franchise company, in the area a few years ago who was 40% lower, but the local guy was no longer in business by the time I needed service). Overall, I felt the quality of work was ok. The grout stain/paint started to wear off slightly after a few months. We sold our home 3 months after the service, so it didn't make sense to call and ask them to fix it. However, if we intended to stay, I would have demanded something be done. There were also spots in the shower that were missed as well. Overall, for the result, this service is way too pricey.

    Better Built Basements LLC
My bathroom was installed in two weeks.  I was advised it can take 3 weeks and I expected it to last longer because of the inspections.  However, it was finished in a shorter amount of time.  Here's why I like BBB.

    1.  They are here when they say they will be at the time stated.  The website Builder Trend keeps you informed of what jobs are scheduled for what day.

    2.  All of the workmen were extremely neat and got the job done as expected.

    3.  They are trustworthy.  I worked from home the first day but felt I could comfortably go to work and not worry about what was being done at my house.  I would come home and whatever was scheduled, was completed.  If there is a question or concern, you are contacted promptly.

    4.  Per the contract, I picked out my fixtures, they picked them up and installed them.  There were no surprises, the contract was met as written.

    5.  Everyone I came in contact with was professional and courteous.  This is a big plus in my book!

    6.  After the sign-off of the job, I felt I could not live without an extra electrical outlet in the washer/dryer area (for ironing) and that the ceiling insulation and plastic covering was understandably disturbed and coming down in some places in the storage area.  An email was sent and the result was that Jim sent two men to take care of these items on my schedule.  No hassle--this is excellent customer service. It was done today.

I am a satisfied customer from quote to end of job--plus some!

If you are the type of customer that wants to be involved in every aspect of the job and wants to talk to each worker and ask questions as it goes along, you need to be available when they are at the job. Otherwise, you will not see or hear from them.  This was not the case for me.  I did not want to be home.  If I had a question, I emailed the office or called and received my information promptly.

I am planning on having them replace my basement stairs--they have a stair company!  Also, I like the flooring so much I will be installing that in my other bathrooms.  This is my 5 star endorsement for BBB.

    Charter Oak Flooring
Met with Robert the owner of the company who came recommended by another contractor. He went over a few different layouts and price options. The crew called the day before the job to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. The work took two days to complete mostly time for allowing the tile to set in place. Upon completion the tiles were laid perfectly and it completely transformed our kitchen. Very happy with Charter Oak Flooring and just signed them to manage and complete my master bathroom which is a 20K plus job. They also are in the process in completing hardwood floors throughout my house. It is very hard to find an honest and qualified contractor these day. I gave Robert a key to my house and did not have a second thought about it. Peace of mind is priceless.

He cleans up after himself and very efficient.   He is prompt with his timing of when he’ll be here to work.  I will be hiring him again soon to do more work for me in another room.  He is also very polite guy to be around.  He was good a communicating his whereabouts and if he was going to be late.

This letter is written in regards to Criss of Pro Wood Floors, LLC as it relates to a sanding and refinishing project undertaken at our home.  Criss’ preparation and attention to detail was evident throughout the project, from the initial consultation, to clean up and close out.  Criss was extremely prompt, communicated clearly, and did exactly what he had promised.   Criss’ workmanship is superior, and the final product far exceeded the quality of the original flooring in our home.  He is great at visualizing the project, communicating options to a client, and executing his work.  He is also flexible, and understands the importance of project progress.  In sum, he is an excellent flooring contractor who understands the needs of his clients, and treats everyone with respect and honesty.   We have absolutely no reservations about recommending Criss to anyone.
