ACould not be happier with the service provided especially after the aggravation dealing with the retailer we purchased the dryer from. The dryer is now up and running as good as new. Thank you to Ray’s Appliance Repair for having fair prices, technical expertise, and exceptional service and thank you to Angie’s List for helping me find them.- Michael Y.

AOur refrigerator went out and before Chuck came out to take a look, he gave us some tips to try. One of the things he suggested worked but we had him come out to check on things anyway. He was prompt, professional, and honest. He could have recommended a pricey repair, but he was honest about just investing in a new fridge if it goes out again. I highly recommend this provider and will definitely call on Chuck's Appliance Repair again.

AWe have a Kenmore washing machine that was giving an error code. We called Ray's Appliance Repair and our call was returned within an hour. We were told that Scott is the one who does the repairs of washing machines and that he would call in the evening. He called when we were told he would and he told us that it would be cheaper to buy a new machine than to try to fix the one we had. It isn't common for repairmen to tell you the truth and actually try to save you money. I appreciated his honesty and would definitely call the company in the future should I need any repairs. They could have wasted my time and money trying to fix a useless machine but instead they gave me helpful honest advice.

DRich arrived on time and promptly removed the back freezer wall. He needed to borrow my hairdryer to defrost the wires and coils. A refrigerator repairman who doesn't own a heat gun should have been my first sign that things were not about to go well. His first visit was quick because he advised defrosting it would give me about a month's time before it stopped working again. He hasitly diagnosed that it was a circuit board and the defrost cycle was no longer functioning. It would take a week to get the part and I would not need to take time off from work as he could make me his last appt at 5:30 pm and I was appreciative of that. I asked for an estimate of the price and he did not know. I asked if it was over $200 and he said yes, the part is expensive. I asked if it would be under $300 and he replied and quot;underand quot;. I handled that pricing badly but I was anxious to get it fixed before the holidays. Please note that Rich does not follow up with you, you need to always contact him first by phone (his answering service). I later texted his cell because he called me once to get my address. His cell phone doesn't accept messages (mailbox is full). He came back over 1 week later with the circuit board and replaced it and quickly left. No waiting to see if the refrigerator cycled correctly or not or even see if he hooked up the ice maker correctly. Upon the first visit--he did not. He gave me the bill of $359 way over his estimate but I paid it in good faith.
One month later, I found the refrigerator did not sound right (he told me I just got used to the sound) and the original symptoms appeared. He told me his work and the circuit board was under warranty. Yet to his credit, he did come out within the week after my and quot;it's not workingand quot; call but again borrowed my hairdryer. I asked him why doesn't he have his own equipment and he replied and quot; You are the first customer to ask me that.and quot; Of course, after he was done, the hairdryer overheated and was broken. He left after defrosting the fridge, and said he had to contact Whirlpool to obtain more information on how to repair it. I contacted him after a week, and he replied that he will replace the new circuit board and another wire the next Thursday. However, I was not going to be home that one night. We made an appt for Tuesday (3 working days later), right before Thanksgiving. When I got home at 9:00pm Thursday night, there was an envelope on my porch with two checks, my $359 back and $45 for my hairdryer. A note that I did not see at first (on back of an empty receipt) said he felt I was not happy with him so here's my money back and and quot;Good Luckand quot;. Thanks a lot, Rich! Right before the holidays with a broken refrigerator with now only medication in it. I believe he knew he was not making any money on my repair and left me without any recourse. A request for more information as to what the problem was and more importantly, could this be fixed, went unanswered.

ACalled JAM because our refrigerator fan was going on and off very quickly and he was the most inexpensive quote I received for a a service call. We were able to describe the problem to him over the phone and he had the part with him when he came for the call. Unfortunately, GE sent him the wrong part so he said he would come back again with the correct part and did not charge us. When the correct part came in, we scheduled another appointment right away. When he came for the appointment he said he had done some research on our model and said there were many defects with it, which the new part probably wouldn't repair. He replaced the fan and since he did not fix the problem he told us to call GE as it was probably our control board. He put everything back together and did not charge us. We appreciate his honesty and professionalism and that he did research for us. We will certainly us JAM again if the need arises.

AFreezer stopped freezing. Called two places Monday morning, another firm and then Chuck's. Got voicemail both places. Chuck called back within ten minutes and we setup a time. The second place called back twenty minutes later.
Chuck was right-on-time and called ahead as promised. He was friendly, courteous, and clearly skilled. He explained the risk of going with his suggested repair, in that a bad compressor could, in coming days, burn out this new part and the repair would be a waste. With most similar new units costing more than a grand I rolled the dice. He did the work quickly and waited afterward to ensure the unit was cooling and not showing any signs of trouble. Chuck was friendly and made friendly conversation, but at the same time I was able to work at my computer undisturbed. The whole experience was perfect, above expectations. The ice trays are freezing as I type. Start to finish in one work-from-home day. This is a guy I would recommend to others.- Rick U. -
AI called for the repair and left a message. I received a call back within a half an hour. The repair man came the same day. I had him call me 15 minutes before his expected arrival time so I would be there to meet him. (I was at work) He called and I went to the house. He arrived within 5 minutes of my arrival. He was very professional and I would recommend this company highly. If I am in need of repairs in the future I would not hesitate to call them.- Linda D.

AHe showed up on time. He knew what he was doing and was finished in 30 minutes.
Very pleased with the result and the cost was much less than purchasing a new washer.
