    KBK Construction LLC
Kitchen and living area came out great. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the overall look and feel of the design. The project took several months all-in-all but we had several delays NOT related to KBK that slowed us down. KBK always adapted to coordinating with inspectors and other professionals when needed.

Louis Cook and his staff were very easy to work with and the quality of the work was exceptional. Throughout the process, there was very good communication between all of his staff and us, the homeowners. He kept right to the contract pricing unless there was an item that cost more than the amount budgeted for that item. Very fair and reasonable contract terms. We would very definitely hire them for any future work.

This is a very professional service.
The technician was very knowledgeable. The floor looks great. It's hard to evaluate price since there is little competition in the area.
But we are very satisfied with the result.

Bob is a pleasant, trustworthy guy and overall, the work was well done. My issues were not so much with his craftmanship or skills, he obviously knows what he's doing in that regard, but rather with his organization and professionalism. Our project was a big one, and by the end I wondered if perhaps it had been a bit of stretch for him. My major concerns were related to
    • 1) not being prepared with the supplies or tools that were necessary for the day's work which led to the need to leave multiple times a day to get something or to put aside a task to another day in order to have the necessary items
    • 2) arriving at 9 and leaving at 3 with lunch - now, I understand lunch and he should be entitled to a break, but if you leave at 3 and you've had to go to the hardware store already or haven't been able to accomplish the expected task b/c of a lack of necessary tools you really aren't getting a lot done in a day.
    • 3) onsite organization: for example, if you know that you have to sand a patch, and put on a second coat and paint it - I would expect that upon arrival, you sand and apply 2nd coat so that it has time to dry while you do the other things required for your day, that way you can paint before you leave. That is not how things were done. Generally the lack of organization and timeliness just made the project take that much longer.
    • 4) finally, communication and professionalism. I felt comfortable leaving Bob alone in my house which was a blessing since I work full time. However, because I wasn't there to see him all the time, the communication became an issue. For example, on Wednesday I forgot to leave my garage door open so that he could get in one day and rather than call me to let me know he just left, did no work, and then the next day, couldn't come because he had to work on another job that he had taken after beginning mine, all on the heels of a conversation on Monday or Tuesday about how he would work all week and the weekend if necessary to get the job done (he didn't come for the weekend either). Also, when I had to leave and asked him to be there when I got home, he left before I arrived home (no phone call). When I called him he said that he's asked my daughter if she knew when I'd be home and since she didn't he left, though he had my cell phone number and could have called me at any time with any questions.
    • So, I would say that Bob's work is good but he may require a good deal of detailed supervision for a larger job and if I were to use him again, it would only be for very small scale projects. That said, the laundyroom/bathroom really does look good and I'm pleased with the result.

Pleasant to work with, can be a little difficult to get a hold of .  Texting worked best.  Great price, crew came in the following week and just knocked it out.  There was some communication error as they finished the floors but didn't stain them the darker color we wanted.  Notified them and they were back the next day to fix the issue.  Floors came out great

Best price and most responsive for my last minute decision to put hardwood in my kitchen remodel. They ripped up the old linoleum and plywood and put new hardwood in. Feathered with the existing hardwood in the dining room. They did the same in a small bathroom by the kitchen. They also stained an refinished the new and old floor. It looks amazing and is my favorite part of the kitchen remodel. Alex was the installer and they do not mess around. Extremely hardworking and very careful with the existing molding on the walls (even thought I told him not to worry about it). I will be hiring them soon to finish the floors in the upstairs bedroom.

    Professional Hardwood Flooring LLC
The owner, Christian, was very responsive, professional and forthright with me throughout the entire process. His estimate was given to me the day I called him and he was able to accommodate my request to do the work while I was away for a week. During the four days of his working on my floors he emailed me daily to update me on the status of the job, which I found to be extremely helpful and great customer service. Upon my return home I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of his work. He corrected scuffs, water damage, and many other issues with the floors since they were long overdue for refinishing. I'm extremely satisfied with the job that was done and with Christian's superb customer service. I highly recommend him and will gladly give him any other wood floor work that I may have in the future.

Product exceeded expectation in appearance.  One has to reach down and actually touch the "grout" to determine that it is fake!  The installer had an auto accident on the way to the job and was unable to do it.  The owner worked hard to find a sub who did an excellent job.  I am very pleased and recommend them without reservation.

    Steven Bumpus Designs
I have an older home in Farmington CT and called Steven Bumpus Designs for a free estimate. The owner, Steven Bumpus, came in very knowledgeable and professional. The area I needed refinished was a living room/ dining room combo of 350 square feet that had an older douglas fir tongue and groove floor that had years of wear and pet damage. Steven and his crew came in and did an amazing job with the sanding. It looked new after they finished! With the 3 coats of oil based finished the end result was an absolutely amazing floor that has completely revived the home. And the prices, at $1.75 per square foot, were unbelievable.
I highly recommend Steven Bumpus Designs to anyone looking for fast reliable work at great prices. They were top notch.

I worked with the folks at Action Carpet and Floor Covering. Because of the high volume and standard nature of my request due to product populariy, the process was very easy.

The Owner, Kevin Blake brought samples to my house. We reviewed the product, warranty, installion schedule/considerations and price.

We agreed on the price and installion details. Coordinting with his team for schedule changes was easy.

My floors are in. The installion team led by lex did a fantastic job! We are thrilled!
