    Scott (Ray's son) came the same day I called. I was expecting the worst -- needing a new ice maker. But Scott said the problem was a bad electrical connection due to the wrong ice maker being installed the last time it failed, and also the on/off switch being stuck in the off position due to a build-up of ice. He re-routed the wires so that it wouldn't be impacted by the positioning of the ice maker. Scott could easily have told me I needed a new ice maker, but he's too honest to do something like that. I had hired him several years ago to fix my washing machine. At that time he needed to make several visits to my house but only charged me for one visit, and he even gave me some parts he had back in his shop at no cost. This guy is super honest, charges very fairly, and is totally competent.

    As always, the service from beginning to end was superb. Bob came to our home to de-install an old gas range the night before Sears was to deliver the new one, only to learn later that evening that Sears cancelled our delivery because the unit was back-ordered. Bob came back out to re-install the gas range for us, then came back yet again when the new range finally was due to arrive to de-install the old range and then install our new range. I've used RNC for all of our appliance repairs -- always expertly done, reasonable, punctual, professional. This time though they really went above and beyond due to the scheduling issues with Sears (there were in fact several re-schedules due to the range being backordered), notwithstanding RNC's extremely busy repair schedule.

    John was great to deal with. Called back promptly and came to my house quickly. Had to order new motor for resistance. Installed it and it failed while he was still there. Ordered a second one and promptly installed. Working fine.

    Discotto Appliance Repair
    Never responded to my email request made on 11/12. Following a phone call to the service on the 16th, service was scheduled for Friday Nov. 20. The problem was diagnosed and repaired in less than 30 minutes. Service was professional and price was spot on for the replacement part. Will absolutely call again if needed.

    I have not been thrilled with the quality.  Specifically of our refrigerator.  It had to be repaired 4 times and they ended up having to replace one of the doors.  So GE does not bring good things to life as they claim in my opinion.  Have not been impressed.

    I told the tech black material was building up in the tub and along doors.  He turned hot water on in sink and said water temperature too low to dissolve protein material.  Instructed to buy Lime Away and that would take care of problem.  I explained that previous service consultant took apart basket from drain and removed debris.  He would not do this.  I told him the soap dispenser was broken so then  he checked that.  I asked if the top rack needed repair and he said yes.  I had to walk him through the steps of the analysis.  Another adult was present and could not believe how he declined to address the debris in the basket and seemed rushed to get out of my house.  A rubber bumper piece was missing from top rack so I asked if he could replace it?   His answer was " if I have one in truck' otherwise I'll fix it when I return to fix other items."  However, he did not have the quote for the parts and did not know if we would choose to repair it at that point in time.  In other words, he did not fix issue I called for.  When the office called back to quote the repairs, its was another 375$ so we declined and bought a new dishwasher.  This all happened week before Christmas so there was some urgency here.  They advertise 24 hour service. I called Monday.  Since it was not an emergency I agreed to an appt. on Wednesday.  Then the tech couldn't wait to get out of my house.  Visit took less than 10 minutes.  When company called back regarding ordering the parts I told the secretary what happened and she commented that they had had previous complaints about the tech.  I did purchase Lime Away and ran 6 cycles without resolution of problem as well as turned up my hot water heater. 
    Background-  My Dad was a Maytag tech and I went on calls with him. We always checked the machines for typical problems not just what the client noted.  It's called comprehensive service.  And you listen to the client as to what the problem is.  The tech discredited my knowledge. I would not use this company again as they keep this tech who is not interested in serving the client needs.

    Ray's Appliance Repair
    I called Ray's Appliance Repair because of the exceptionally high grades he got on Angie's List.  In fact, I signed up for Angie's List specifically to find a reputable appliance repair person.  My "regular" repair person was unable to determine the reason why my Whirlpool washer would not agitate and why it was producing a burning smell, so I needed to find someone with more experience and who would not rip me off.  I called Ray on a Monday and got a call back from his son Scott later that day.  Scott came on Tuesday, identified the major problem as being a failed motor, ordered the part and came back that Friday to install it.  He did warn me that there was a possibility that another part was failing and that may have been the reason the motor failed.  However, when he left, all was OK.  Later that day, the machine starting making loud noises and I called Scott again.  He came back on Saturday, identified the new failed part that had caused the motor to originally fail, and told me he may have a used part back at his shop that he would GIVE me at no charge.  He also told me that if he didn't have the part and had to order one, he would give me the option of "cancelling" the whole engagement whereby he would remove the new motor from the washer and return the money I had originally paid him.  He made it clear that he did not want the repair of my washer to become so expensive that it would have been better to just buy a new one.  I thought this was an incredible gesture on Scott's part.  But even more so, while he was at my house on Saturday he replaced a number of other parts that were failing or appeared to be on its last legs, also at NO CHARGE.  Scott called me as soon as he got back to his shop to tell me he DID have this part.  He came back to my house to install it on Monday at no charge other than a minimal house call cost.  The washer has been working great ever since, and it's been three months.  SCOTT, MY APOLOGIES FOR TAKING SO LONG TO WRITE THIS WELL-DESERVED REVIEW.  In summary, I would 100% recommend Scott and Ray  to anyone wanting to hire an incredibly competent, responsive, and reasonably priced appliance repair service.

    We have a relatively new Bosch dishwasher that is not cleaning dishes thoroughly, and has developed a small leak in the hose. We called Regency to repair both situations. However, when the repairperson arrived, he explained that all they do is repair the appliance - they are not plumbers. This was not indicated when I made the appointment.
    In fact, there was nothing wrong with our dishwasher - the issue is probably backwash from the dishwasher hose. The cost of the visit was wasted, as I am very capable of cleaning the filters myself - and do so regularly. Now I will have to repeat the expense with a plumber.

    I was very pleased with the job. It was less expensive than I thought it would be. They were prompt. I was really happy with their service. They were very honest. They charged me for the part and labor; they could have told me it was a lot more, and I would have had no idea. They fixed the problem; I haven't had a problem since. I will use them again in the future if necessary.

    When an appliance breaks down I live in dread of a huge bill. I realize that Rich's not billing us for his visit is not typical but his integrity in fixing the dryer restored my faith in honest repair people. Over a week later the dryer continues to heat up as it should and we have had no problems with it what so ever.
