  • We have been very pleased with the work performed by Clear Cut Tree and Lawn Service. They completed two jobs for us, and each time they were professional, skilled, and used the correct equipment to perform the work exactly as described. Their team worked amazingly **** ** a very hot summer day to complete the job in a manner that exceeded our expectations. They left the area clean and neat. I would recommend Clear Cut Tree and Lawn especially for difficult tree removals.

  • L & L Contracting came highly recommended for replacing my roof and gutters. They were prompt and courteous. They took on the headache of dealing with my insurance company and made sure that I got everything that needed to be done covered. I was it highly impressed that after inquiring about a quote, the owner came and not a salesman to explain my options. I would feel extremely confident to recommend L&LContracting,

  • I would absolutely recommend Andressa’s services. I was introduced to her through my realtor, who were clients of hers as well. She came over and met us, looked at the house, and I was immediately at ease. Andressa is a truely trustworthy person and her proformance was top notch. She notices things I never would have even thought to take care of myself and really tranforms my home each and every time she visits. Go with her, you’ll be so glad you did.

  • Robby (Casagrande) from the Cheshire office came to my door selling pest control services. He said that "insight" was having a promotional fee for their services for $115 per service and recommended 4 services a year. He said no contract was needed and I could stop services at any time. He requested I sign permission to treat on a gel pad and I did. I received 2 services (both was paid in full) and the second service did not go well. People that can were very unprofessional and would not take payment which resulted in a very unpleasant call from the company about not paying my bills. I assured her if I received a bill I would pay it. I got a bill and paid it and then tried to discontinue services. I was told I could not cancel services because I had a contract. I requested a copy because I had never signed a contract. They sent a type written copy of the contract with what appears to be my gel pad signature at the bottom. I tried on multiple occasions to explain that I never signed that contract but no one listened. I have tried working with the BBB and consumer protection agencies but I was ultimately threatened by the Coast to Coast collections agency that they would destroy my credit. I ultimately paid $188.99 for promotional fees and collection fees on June 26 2018. I did notify Robby but after the first call he blocked my calls. I am searching for other customers in the neighborhood that may have had a similar problem and plan legal action.

  • Wonderful after a little hiccup with scheduling. Cassella replaced the damaged conduit, reattached the line to the meter, reactivated the main breakers and inspected for any problems. The price was fair and payment was very easy. I now have an electrical service provider that I trust, will use for my home and refer the new owner of the home that was service.

  • Peter and his crew were great. They did the job quickly and did a good clean-up after. His was the best cost after getting 3 quotes. They paid attention to detail (including the trim and moving the gutters ) to make my house look good. I appreciated that Peter and his guys were checking in with me periodically to let me know how the job was progressing and seeing if I had any questions. I had a minor issue with the gutter drip edge above one of the doors and Peter was quick to respond to fix it and let me know if I needed anything else just to call him. Definitely would use Vinyl King again.

  • Needed a gutter replaced after the recent strong storms in Oxford, CT. Gutter was approximately 58 feet in length, with a guard. Also needed a drip edge replaced that was damaged. SOS Restoration was at my home within 2 days of calling them for an estimate. They were very reasonable, spot on to the insurance adjuster’s number AND beat other competitors by several hundred dollars. Extremely professional and easy to communicate + set up a date for the repair. Work was completed in a timely manner and looks great! I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs work done to their home. Would use them again for any needs I have myself.

  • Excellent! I was impressed with their level of professionalism and expertise. Job was done with best components, making this a long lasting repair. Overall I couldn't be happier with Quality Electric.

  • Not well - original Angie's list offer was $5,995 for a roof up to 20 sq ft (which would be $3.00 per sq foot). I paid down payment, Villwell send people out to see my house. Sent me an estimate of $7,360. Upcharges were for a flashing needed and also additional 8 sq footage (as per their estimate). I accepted the deal and chose my shingle color - next day I get an estimate at $10,990 - over $3,500 higher! When questioned, they said they had made an error on the estimate, and that the additional 8 sq ft would cost $4,000 ($5.00 per sq ft - they offered NO discount on the additional square footage). Due to my intention to cancel the offer and use my down payment elsewhere, we did end up with a compromise of $9,500 - they claimed they would lose money on the job if they went any lower......The errors did not stop there - Then they said I should move my car out of the garage by 8AM on the scheduled work date, Dec. 27, because the materials for my roof would be delivered on that date at that time and would block my driveway. WRONG - materials came on Dec. 26, and thankfully I was home so that I could discuss with the driver and get the materials placed on my lawn (driver said he did not have sufficient room to work with placement in the driveway due to trees and power lines and needed my permission to place the materials on my lawn). NEXT - day of work, Dec. 27 - eight or nine Hispanic workers arrived in two vehicles - an unmarked van and an unmarked pickup truck. Probably day workers, not employees. Not a single one spoke English, and only one understood limited English. Also that day a dumpster was deposited right square at the house end of my driveway, blocking any chance of my moving my car. These guys worked very hard in very cold conditions, and I have no complaints about their work. However, at the end of the day, they were leaving the dumpster behind (at 3:30), blocking my entire driveway. I attempted to ask the driver of the pick up truck about the dumpster, but he did not understand me. I called the office immediately, also the cell phone of the Sales person with whom I had been negotiating, and after four phone calls the dumpster was finally removed around 5:30 that night. On my first call, I was told that they "typically leave the dumpster until the next day". This had NEVER been mentioned to me. So - I debated long and hard about writing this review. I kept ignoring the emails asking me to review the builder. I can say that my roof looks very nice, and that the men worked extremely hard under very very cold conditions. So far I can't determine how the roof will hold up, but I did have numerous issues with the company in general, as stated above. I would not use them again.

  • Quick Summary: Buyer beware, read your Fox Pest Control contract CAREFULLY (despite what you are told by their in-field representatives), be prepared to make a lot of phone calls, and budget about twice what you would expect. My experience (the short version): I am out $500, still have mice in the house, and it is STILL my responsibility to seal points of entry by myself (which I’ve been doing all along). Pretty much all I got in return for this hefty sum was $40 worth of bait traps. 01/19/18 - When I called to complain about the cost, I was transferred three times. Eventually, someone from the ‘Loyalty Department’ indicated that they had to check some info and get right back to me with a revised figure. No one bothered to call be back, presumably because they already had my money. Eventually, I called THEM to cancel my service, and requested documentation via email that my account has been closed. My experience (the LONG version): We moved into a new home 90 days ago, and quickly discovered that there was an existing mouse infestation. I called Fox Pest Control, and they had a Representative at my home within the hour. After agreeing to sign on with them, the Rep went to work. She placed several bait traps (I had to climb up into the attic, which is where the mice were), sprayed on the outside, and pointed out a few potential points of entry. I was advised that nothing was going to be sealed until the 30 day followup…which my wife and I were told was included in the initial $265 service charge. Seemed pretty high to me, but I went with it. My wife signed the contract (which I SHOULD have read), and the Rep left. I thought it was a little strange that she didn’t look inside the drop ceiling, or under the sinks, but I figured that it would be taken care of in the free 30 day followup. A few days after that, I took a look at the contract, and realized that we had committed to a minimum 1 year term. They call it ‘total home protection’: $265 for the initial visit, $135 for each quarterly visit until cancelled in writing, and a minimum $165 charge for early cancellation. Since my job might entail moving in a few months, there is no way that we would have agreed to this. Also, it said NOTHING about taking responsibility for actually sealing the points of entry. This is really why I called a pest control service in the first place (I can place a few traps myself). I spoke to Scott, who eventually reduced this to a three-visit plan without the ‘discounted’ rate. Now, quarterly visits would be $180. Oh well. Yesterday, a nice Representative came by for my 30 day followup. She took a look around, while I pointed out all of the work I had done to seal the larger holes (that their contract doesn’t cover). She placed two traps (again, I had to put the one in the attic), replaced bait in a third, and left around 15 minutes later. She was knowledgeable and courteous, but definitely in a hurry. I didn’t think twice about the abruptness of the service call (after all, it was already included in my initial $265 charge…per the first Rep). Until I received an invoice for $186.11 last night. I called today, spoke again to Scott. He was courteous, and pointed out that this was, in fact, my quarterly visit at the non-discounted price. I pulled out the email contract (which is DIFFERENT from the one my wife signed), and he was right. Totally my fault for not opening the email and double-checking what we were told, and triple checking what was on the paper contract that I had. I’ll accept that. Fine. When I indicated my dissatisfaction with the services rendered vs. the amount I was charged, I was transferred to the ‘Loyalty Department’…who then indicated that they had to get some information from Scott. At 9:00am, I was told that they would collect this information and promptly call me back after speaking with a Service Manager. After not receiving the promised callback, I decided that my business should be taken to a more competitive and responsive business. The courteous Customer Service Representative indicated that they have cancelled my account (no refunds given, or any attempts made to retain me). Since it seems that the Service Manager actually reads these reviews: Thanks for the costly lesson.
