The experience was good. It was quick because I bought it at the very end of the "cash for clunkers". I had an old pickup truck I was able to trade-in. I ended up getting the car for $16,000 with the trade-in and they had $3,000 off. The price was great.

    There wasn't much of a follow-up.

You dropped the car off Friday, picked it up Saturday. They took our credit card over the phone. Our price was less than quoted because it took less time than expected. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and is in the shop nearly every day. They offer life-time warranties for the work they do.

On the plus side, the used cars on the lot all seemed to be detailed to perfection with fair asking prices.  The salesman was not pushy and tried his best once I voiced my concerns on him not reaching out to me, finally giving me his cell number for contact which worked fine.  The vehicle we purchased received new tires and brakes and was perfectly detailed along with a fair final price agreed upon.
On the negative side, I have noted above: dealing with the finance manager in paying for the car was most unpleasant.   He just wanted to rush us thru the process and seemed put upon if we took too long in reading some of the fine print with a comment from him stating "obviously, you have never purchased from West Chevrolet before', as if to say he does not make mistakes after noting his "32 years of experience."  Well, two errors on the paperwork were found and needed correction by him and he appeared agitated at having to do over, asking us to wait out in the showroom with no apology offered. While waiting, we spoke to another salesman who voiced an opinion regarding email responses to customers, saying that there "were too many" and somehow this was "stressfull" for most salesman; this while he was standing in showroom gazing into the lot.  Not a good sales practice to voice this wrong opinion to a customer.
We left the dealership with our new used vehicle, feeling relieved to drive away.  No follow up phone call was ever received from the salesman - another negative.  Overall, not a pleasant experience in buying.  We are happy with our car but when we shop again for another used car, will look elsewhere.
UPDATE:  Salesman did follow up in early December

Car died one day. I called Aldo's Garage to see if he could fit me in. Not only did he take care of me, he had a tow truck there in within an hour. The next day I receive a call telling me the mass air flow sensor is bad and would need to be replaced. I agreed to the charges and the car was fixed that afternoon.

I've been going to Monro for all types of work on my vehicles.  The owner, Pat, is a real honest person.  If you are a constant customer, he will cut a break on checking out stuff..many times I've brought in a vehicle with a check engine light or with a suspected problem, and he'll do a quick fix without charging me.  He has spent lots of time on one particular vehicle that he didn't charge me for.  That being said, Monro does charge slightly higher hourly rates, and stuff like shocks or brakes might not be as cheap here as at, say, Pep Boys...but they do a good job and offer a good warranty.

Right before I had to take a long trip, my 4wd sensor usual mechanic does not do computer I went to Blasius. Being a dealer, it is a big busy operation, and you pay for the service...but they were able to get in this part the next day, and put me on my way. I wouldn't normally go here as it is further away and more expensive, but if my vehicle needed something that only a dealer could do, I would go here.

My A/C wasn't working, and S and S fixed some stuff to make it work..but a week or so later my compressor went. They replaced this, and again, a few weeks later, it stopped working. This might sound bad, but the owner there is very conscientious and is trying to get this job done right! He is having me come in yet again, and wants it fixed right. Not charging me for his time on the re-repairs. He also did a transmission..took a long time, but did a good job. And he has done some needed work on a car during a holiday week without my first scheduling an appointment..much appreciated.

From start to finish it was a highly satisfactory experience.
I called when the problem surfaced with my vehicle failing to start. I was able to jump start the car so when I called to see about an appointment, i was invited to bring the car in for a quick check.
An on site visual check of vehicle was made for a range of potential problems. When the problem was tentatively identified after as an Alternator problem and other possibles were eliminated I was told I could leave the car or make an appointment for another day.
I left the car and the next day the work was performed.
The repair was completely handled and by mid to late afternoon the following day I received a call that my vehicle was ready.
The estimate was given when I first brought the vehicle in was accurate and there were no surprises.
Working with Rocco and MaryAnn at Mild to Wild is as good as it gets - friendly service, excellent mechanics, quick and efficient service.

Repair went well, good diagnostics and had it done in 2 days. They were expensive. Quoted $1,900 then negotiated them to $1,750 before agreeing to use them. When I arrived to pick up the car the bill was $2,400, then had to negotiate with the service person to get it down to $1,800. Completely unprofessional to quote a price that is significantly lower than what is charged. Made me think how many people they take advantage of using that technique as some will accept the price even if different.

I had poor brakes due to a leaking brake line. I stopped by and the shop owner topped off the master cylinder and scheduled me for a few days out. This was agreeable with me because the truck in not my daily vehicle. I dropped it off in the morning a few days later and stopped bye in the afternoon to check on the progress. After he pointed out the condition of other brake lines I agreed to have them all replaced including two flexible hoses and all 4 bleeders. He also recommended a nickel coated brake line that is not available at your local auto parts store. The nickel coated lines probably doubled the price of the job but I agreed because I expect to keep the truck for at least 10 years. I picked up the truck the next afternoon and I was very satisfied with the work and the price.
This is not your typical dealership garage. Aldo's is a two man shop with very low overhead. His mechanic does most of the work but the owner checks everything and advises the mechanic on how he wants the work done. The shop is clutter with parts and tools and there always seems to be several projects in progress. The owner is constantly interrupted with phone calls and other customers dropping bye. The owner orders all the parts and hand writes all the invoices. I have witnessed him making several call on behalf of a customer to get the best price on an expensive part.
I have been back to Aldo's several times over the years and enjoy the experience every time. If you are not in a big hurry to get your vehicle back I highly recommend the shop. If you like to sit in a perfectly clean waiting room drinking a coffee and watching TV while your vehicle is being worked on, it's probably not the shop for you.
