The only problem I have with any hospital is the food. The food is usually terrible, other than that, everything was pretty good. The staff, the nurses, and the doctors were great. The aids were a little slow but that is pretty common. It is a great hospital and I have no complaints with it. I never had a problem with the billing. I wouldn't be going to them for major work like I had an open-heart surgery and I went to another hospital but I would go back to them for general hospitalization.

Great! Was given special attention by doctors and staff due to high blood pressure, but made to feel special..not an outcast. Actually was out same day which wasn't expected due to excellent care and attention by all!

They are the greatest hospital I have ever had to go to. They were just excellent. The staff and the service they provide is great. When my wife went there for surgery as well, the service and quality was just as great!

We were originally following a physician who joined their practice five to ten years ago. We continued to stay with them. They are very good and they are convenient. We can take specific appointments but for everyday care we can just walk in. When we are making appointments they are pretty prompt.

    William W Backus Hospital
Wonderful experience each time.  I had made out a birthing plan that they honored very well.  Staff was all very professional and accomodating.  Clean room and bathroom.  Felt more like a quiet hotel room than a hospital room.

The doctors there knows what he is doing. He is also very straight and to the point which I personally like. The staff are really friendly too. They took care of me properly.

First went to the wrong part of the hospital but was directed to the right place by friendly ladies at the front lobby/desk. When I got to the lab I was at first confused as what to do but signed in and sat down to be called (I figured it out as soon as the lady behind the glass was finished with the current patient and called another). I had to wait about 20-30 minutes to be called back to the lady who just took my insurance information and referral sheet for the lab work. She was not too friendly but not at all rude. As soon as I was done in her and quot;officeand quot; which took about 5 minutes I was ready to go back to see the lab technician/phlebotomist. She took about 4 vials of blood which was fine but I think she scraped my arm/vein on the removal of the needle cause I had a scratch and a sizable bruise for a few days after, which was painful for a while. Otherwise it was an okay experience, but since the lab does not make appointments it is just luck of the draw as to how busy they are when you get there.

    Lawrence & Memorial
For the most part, I found that they were good. I had one bad experience with a nurse but most of them were good; there's always room for improvement. My nurse left me alone for a long time and I feel that someone could have checked me more frequently that night. Other times I have been in the hospital, I have had excellent experiences with my nurses. It was only this one nurse this one time. The doctor in the emergency room caught the fact that I had a heart condition that I didn't know about. As a result, I was admitted and had a pacemaker put in. That doctor was a lifesaver. It took about twelve hours before I got a bed in the hospital. I have had experiences in other hospitals and I have yet to see a hospital that is good at making that happen in a timely way so I don't know if I should blast Lawrence and Memorial on that. Overall everything was okay. It was more important that the doctor saw my heart irregularity than being seen all the time by the nurse. When I was in this hospital at other times with my mother and my daughter, the experience was quite good. I would definitely go to them again.
