This is the second time I’ve used Justin. That alone should say how satisfied I am with his services. He is responsive and finished everything we discussed/contracted in a timely and efficient manner. His prices are reasonable and and his work quality is excellent.

It went awesome. We had a team of 4-5 people show up on time each day. They put a full days work in. The team was professional and curtsy. My wife and are amazed. The house looks amazing. We could not be happier.

Anderson came to my house for a "pre work visit" to take a look at the job and advise how many hours it would take. The job required extended hours beyond the Angie's List promotional deal (1 person 8 hours or 2 people 4 hours). Anderson quoted me a very fair price for the additional time needed. Anderson and his assistant were on time, got set up quickly and began work soon after arriving. They did a great job with the prep, painting and clean-up. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Brett Cooke and his son Kevin did a complete gut and remodel of our Master Bath which included the install of a new window in shower, tile work, ceiling redo, carpentry and painting. The remodel turned out 'beyond' our expectations. Brett is an expert craftsman who provides very high quality work with much attention to detail. He and his son are professional, responsible, courteous and fun to work with. We would not hesitate to use them again.

We were very pleased with the quoting process, the personal review of the work to be done, the document describing the work scope, the ongoing communication, and the excellent outcome.  Our popcorn ceilings had been roller painted several times with oil paint, making it a tough job to turn them into a flat white ceiling. Roger's quote was a substantial savings over two other "A" rated Angie's List providers.

Roger fully covered the walls, cabinets, and fireplace with plastic to dramatically reduce dust and cleanup.  He covered the floors and carpet with multiple layers of painters coverings to avoid dust damage. He removed the damaged sheetrock in our wall and ceilings and installed new drywall, using moisture-resistant sheetrock where it may be needed.

He sanded the major part of the popcorn off the ceiling, then used three coats of spackle with interim sandings to make a perfectly flat ceiling.  He then spray painted the ceiling with three coats so it came out perfectly flat with zero brush marks. He met his stated date for the completion of the work within 10% of his estimate (very cold and damp weather slowed the drying of the spackle, and he did not rush the outcome at the cost of quality to meet his date. He made sure that we knew what his plan was, when he'd be there each day, and when he was waiting for something to dry.  It is obvious to me that he knew what he was doing, and was an artist with the drywall compound.

He was great to work with. There were two minor additions that we added to the job; he documented these on the contract and made sure that we knew the cost change (under $200) so that there were no surprises when we made our payments

The ceiling looks amazing and the price was right. We'd use him again for other ceilings that we are considering removing the popcorn on.

When I contacted FreshCoat, I said "I usually just paint myself, but I bought this crazy metallic paint at Target, and it looks like it's complicated to apply. Do you have experience with this type of paint?"  Reassurances all around. The painter, Doug, called me with a litany of "faux finish" jobs he had done that looked great.

He painted the room with my paint, and after two coats, he packed up, reassuring me that it was going to look great when it dried. Well, after a day or two, it was clearly a disaster. I called Barbara, who came out to look and of course said that the job needed to be fixed. Score 1 star for FreshCoat.

Barbara (administrator) and Douglas (painter) met and decided that I needed to use paint that he was familiar with. This
seemed totally reasonable, and I figured I should have known better than to buy house paint at Target. So I went to Lowes and purchased the primer, base coat, and metallic that they recommended.

Douglas came back, forgot to use the primer (he read the paint cans wrong), and finished the job with his recommended paint. Again, he packed up and left with reassurances. The picture that I'm attaching isn't of wet paint, or of one coat when another was planned. This was the finished job, several days later.

I called poor Barbara to complain again, and again she came out to look at it. I told her that I was not going to pay for the full rate of painting, and we settled on a price for their effort plus several days of work, etc. 800 dollars.

I am giving a C rather than an F because I appreciated that the owners were apologetic, rather than trying to make it seem like I was crazy or too demanding. Barbara's parting words were "Doug usually does a really good job..."  They didn't offer to send another painter to fix it, and I didn't insist, because at that point it had gone on for over a week and I was tired of having people in the house.

I ended up getting boring, non-metallic paint and re-painting it myself. It was a total waste of a thousand dollars (when I add the cost of many cans of paint)

Couldn't be happier with the results - the house looks great. Barbara was very helpful with the color selection process and actually steered me towards the colors that I didn't think would work in my house - they turned out great. We tried out several colors in the foyer before zeroing in on the final choice, they were very patient and accommodating. The painter Adel worked non-stop and finished the job without delays. He was very professional, polite and easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone and, in fact, will use them again in a few weeks to paint one more room.

Fresh Coat of CT River Valley was out within days of my initial phone call and I had a completed quote that afternoon.  They were punctual, very knowledgeable and easy to work with.  The job was done on time and they were very clean.  Adel does an amazing job!
    I love the finished rooms!

the job was done well but the professionalism was lacking. First told I had to buy Sherman Williams paint and nothing else so when to get color.  Then when he called me back he insisted on Home Depot paint which he now preferred but got no discount on it.

Timing was hampered by the fact that the one painter was on the phone doing mortgage deals the whole time and not concentrating on the time or the work.  He did a good job with a few minor problems that I fixed thought  he came back to pick up an item he left.  He had to hurry to finish the second day job as he had other obligations so I did the clean up.   It appeared that they had me way over buy paint, as I had 1 and 1/3 gallons left over.  Never had a painter book a job without looking at the job first.  Also did not want to hear over and over how busy the owner was due to the Angie list response.
