    Affordable Carpentry
I chose Ralph because I’m also ex military and he wasn’t afraid to use “God Bless” in his introduction page. He quoted me a price, I agreed and paid him half of the price so he could buy the garage door. The next day, he showed up on time, fixed my leaning garage using skills that many other carpenters don’t possess these days. He removed my old heavy wooden door that was rotting, and replaced with new lightweight door. He worked very fast and finished the same day by 4:30pm. Quality work and cleaned up after himself. I’ve been searching for a carpenter to take on my project for 3 years and not one that I interviewed had the skills to right a learning structure or they insisted I tear it down and rebuild. God Bless you, soldier.

The work was very good, and they were able to provide high quality work, they were able to fix the problem that I had in months and problem that nobody could fix, they were able to fix right away. It took them an hour and a half to fix it , the best part about this was, they didn't charged me for the service because it was my first time calling them for the service.

    Precision Door Service
Precision Door Service did a excellent job in my most recent experience. I was assigned Tom Shea as my account manager and he did a terrific job. Tom got back to me very quickly and came out to personally do the quote himself. The next day I had 3 options that were presented to me with pictures of how they would look. Tom gave me a follow up call to explain them to me. The order was placed with a accurate lead time and the doors were installed by there technicians. (not subs) I could not be happier about the work that they did. I have been building garages for 40 years and would not hesitate to use Ton Shea/ Precision Door service again. Paul Leone

service was great. They did more than the basic work to make the older door more viable and operate smoothly. I will call them when I install the new door in the Spring.

    Michael's Overhead Door
This guy really knows what he's doing! I have seldom seen anyone who knows his job as well as Michael knows his. I watched him fix my garage door after the original repairman did more to damage it than to fix it. Michael went through every calibration (level, track alignment, re-tensioning the torsion bars, etc. etc.) and he repaired it quickly, methodically and, most importantly, accurately. I've owned this house for 12 years and my garage door has never worked this quietly or this smoothly before! If you are having a problem with your garage door, call this guy. I got lucky -- I picked his name out of an old phone book (how old-fashioned is that?) on the basis that he was the only one who gave his full name and address. I figured he obviously wasn't trying to hide from anyone. I'm glad I called him. It was one of the best experiences I've EVER had hiring someone who wasn't referred to me. In fact, he was better than most people who HAVE been referred to me. ********** (10) Stars.

    Window World of Western Massachusetts
We did our due diligence and spoke with several contractors when we decided to renovate the front of our home. When we met Tim from Window World we knew immediately that we wanted to work with him. He was so excited about our home and the project. He had a vision that no one else offered, and really helped us to see the potential that our house had. Shortly after we signed the paperwork we were given a beginning and end date for the project. Work began on the promised date and was completed in the nine consecutive business days they designated for our project. It rained quite heavily on two of those days but the crew worked straight through it. We had heard so many stories of contractors starting a project only to stop part way through to work on something else. Tim promised us that once they start a project they would complete it before moving on to the next project, and he kept his promise. The foreman Craig and his amazing crew cared for our home as if they were working on their own home. The craftsmanship and dedication to detail was contagious throughout the crew and absolutely no corners were cut by a single worker. They were friendly and courteous which was very much appreciated as we both have home offices and were at home throughout much of each work day. At the end of every day they cleaned up inside and out leaving us to enjoy our living space free of construction mess and general chaos. We were so excited to see each new day come and go and to see the results of their meticulous work. Thank you Window World for our beautiful new home. We love it! Brian & Cynthia W. West Springfield

I have used J & A Overhead Door on two occasions. First was to do a repair when we first bought our house and a year later when I wanted new doors because we were getting new siding on the house. Both quotes were good and the service was fast and excellent. On the second occasion, they sold me two new doors with standard openers. The doors look great and I have never heard quieter openers ever! They even have an iPhone app to open and close. This app is very handy when checking the doors on my phone before going to bed or at work to see if any of the kids left it open. Jay the installer was very professional, friendly and meticulous with his work. He programmed both our cars as well. A superb experience.

It was horrible weather so maybe this is a statistical anomaly... Tech arrived on time and got right to work. Installed the door and asked me if we had a remote so he could do some tests. We didn't have one because the opener was from 1980. I said to him that I would be happy to assist (hitting open and close manually). The tech was unable to completely close the gap on the bottom and was unable to increase the height when opened so a truck could fit. After trying a few things he told me that unfortunately this model was too old for him to adjust the range of the door. I agreed to the anomaly and signed the contract. The next day we (my wife and I) went online and found a manual so I took apart the opener and adjusted it appropriately so the truck would fit and it would close properly. I don't blame the tech for not knowing how to do this because it was an old model. The reason my review isn't strong is primarily due to the fact that there were many errors I noticed when I took a closer look. The hinges in the front did not align properly, the lining on the top was dangling, bolts in multiple locations were loose, the nobs were upside down in the front, the part attached to the door was slightly damaged, and the interior door was dirty. Please see photos for reference... This is a local business and I support that. That being said, the tech was clearly in a rush and made multiple errors due to that. High level pressure from management to complete jobs quickly? Had an emergency? Not sure, but I would have been fine with him coming back another day if there was an urgent issue.

    Garage Door Services LLC
One of the owners stopped by, inspected the door, and we discussed the prices for the things I was interested in getting done. I decided to have just the opener replaced and was given a price of $650. This was a basic replacement job but it seemed to have been done by a new employee that should have been closely supervised. The technician came as scheduled, was very professional and courteous. What upset me was that he didn't clean up after himself, leaving bolts, wires and parts that he had replaced in the garage area where the car was supposed to be parked in, and had forgotten things that were common sense to have available to finish setup.
