    They are absolutely awful. They have sent out numerous technicians and none of them have been able to get things done the way I want it done. I have not been able to get a land line. They do not hook-up the cable line to my TV. My telephone keeps going out. I need that for my alarm system. I would tell people not to go with Comcast. Their customer service is awful and they do not follow through. They will fix something and then it breaks again and then they charge you to come back out to fix it.

    I have been a loyal AT&T customer for the past 15 years...until today.  We have had AT&T for 12 years and U-Verse for approximately three years and just recently I have had to unbundle our phone due to the fact that the phone line would go down whenever we lost internet service, and we don't have cell service in our house due to no tower near here (a whole other story).
    When U-Verse is working, it's fine.  When you need customer service because you have a problem, forget it!  During Hurricane Sandy, all of the lines, power, phone, etc. were pulled off our house.  The power company put the line back up last Monday.  On Tuesday, I called AT&T Uverse to have someone come out and put their line back up.  I was told that I had to make an appt for an "inside tech" to come out and look at it, and then he can write a ticket for an outside tech.  So I had to wait three days for an inside guy to come and call an outside guy?  Makes lots of sense.  So I make my appt for the inside tech, even though the earliest appt is in two days for that.  I get the wait...we just had a huge storm and that is not my complaint.
    Then, I get transferred to the AT&T phone dept, which is separate from the uverse dept.  I speak to someone there and explain my situation.  I have no phone line to my house and no way of reaching someone if I have an emergency (and there was a snowstorm coming) since my cell does not work in the house.  She was very helpful and told me that due to that fact, they would put in an expedited ticket and they would have someone out there by 2 p.m. that day.  Wow!  Great...that restores my faith in AT&T.
    So...a tech does come to my house to put the line back up.  I ask the guy if he can also put up the line for the u-verse as well and he tells me it's the same line, so I am business!  He finishes, we check the phone line which has a dial tone, and my internet and TV are back up.  Case closed, right?  Wrong!
    When I try and use my phone later on, I have a dial tone but cannot dial out.  And when someone calls in, they are so faint that you can't even hear them.  Back to the drawing board.  This was a Tuesday.  I call AT&T back (mind you, I have to drive somewhere to call them) and the earliest they can get a guy back out to fix the problem is Sunday!!  Really?  So I try and expedite the process as they did the first time and not only can they not do that, I get the RUDEST customer service person ever, who is basically accusing me of lying about not having cell service in the house.  So I hang up with Mrs. Rude and call back again.  This time I get a nice person and she says she will expedite my service and they should be calling me within two hours to let me know what time they are coming.  Great!  Five minutes after that, I get an automated call from AT&T saying that they are sorry, but they cannot expedite service.  
    **UPDATE** A lineman came today (Friday) while I wasn't home.  He left a message on my cell saying that there is nothing wrong and it must be my phone!  I would do with another company but they are the only ones in my area.  So frustrated.
