5 Tips to Get the Best Tree Service

Tree Service reviews in Redding

    Christian Tree Service LLC
Christian and his crew provided a quick response to a dangerous tree situation at my home. He gave me an estimate and came to do the work the next work day. In addition to removing the damaged tree, which was a tricky take down overhanging the electrical wires, he took down an additional dead elm tree per my request and trimmed trees overhanging my electrical wires. He did what he said, when he stated he would do it for the agreed upon price, couldn't ask for anything more. They cleaned up the work site and left my yard in better condition than when they started the job. He is a pleasure to work with and will definitely be using him for my future tree work.

    Barts Tree Service
I needed some tree branches removed that were overhanging onto the room. Matt was totally fair and professional at all levels. He came to the house to review the work and took meticulous notes and got it done on schedule and on spec. Will definitely use them again.

    Stumpers LLC
Excellent service!! Anthony came immediately, gave a fair quote and his guys started the next day. They took out two large stumps that were embedded into concrete and were home to a few bees nests -- so it was not an easy job. I would recommend Stumpers.

    Knowledgable, inexpensive and VERY helpful!
    So... to sum it up,
Eddy was the most knowledgable person we have spoken to about trees.
The quote for trimming the remaining trees in the yard was extremely
cheap.  He was so helpful not only on the
trees we called about, but on recommendations for the future as well!
Now here's the down and dirty...
A certified Aroborist came out for a free estimate to check out our yard.
He was on time and very nice.  We called to have him look at our
redwoods which haven't been looking so great recently, but he started in
the front yard and gave us some free advice on our trees out there as
    well as the backyard.
When we went to the backyardto look at our
redwoods, he said they look healthy and are starting to come back to
life... basically, we don't need his services!!  (Another guy who was
not certified said he would trim it for $600!!!).  Eddy from Double Tree
service (not the other guy) said to leave the remaining 6 trees
alone this season and call him in 6-10 months to come back for a
He was SO knowledgable.  Immediately he asked when
we had the patio slate put in, and attributed that to the health of our
trees (apparently the roots had been dug out and the dirt in the back
suffocated the roots on the far side?!  Who knew?).  But he recommended
that we wait to see how the tree responds before trimming it.
The rough estimated quote for trimming all the trees and possibly removing
one (that would eventually damage the slate and brick wall) was
    EXTREMELY reasonable.
Bottom line... THEY ARE THE BEST!!!  Definitely hire these guys above anyone else... your wallet and yard will thank you for it.

    Barts Tree Service
When Matt came to take a look at the work I needed done, he gave me several options and also made suggestions for taking care of some other issues that I hadn't noticed. There was no pressure and he was very patient with my questions. He gave me an estimate on the spot and stuck to that estimate when all the work was completed. When the day came, Matt arrived on time and got right to organizing his crew and telling them what was needed. They listened carefully and obviously took their jobs very seriously. There was no joking around or making a lot of noise. They were friendly but hardworking. The work was finished in half the time that I thought it would be and I could hardly notice that they'd been there at all. Everything was neat and tidy. I was very impressed.

They came very quickly and they are very responsive but we are a little bit wondering about the charge with the work done which was basically just get the tree down and we're just wondering why we were over charged that we never did follow up on it. They did get the tree down, we didn't want them to cut or anything like that. They were very responsive. Their service was very good but I guess there's an issue with their price.

Peter Rolf (Tree Wizard) has done our work for a number of years, and has always done excellent work. After the most recent hurricane, we had an enormous maple tree that lost four 2-foot limbs, and damaged other trees around it. Peter stopped by on his own after the storm to check whether we had any trees on our house, which we fortunately didn't, but he came and cut up the limbs after he did emergency work for other customers. He worked with us to keep the price down (we dragged the small limbs out of the woods for later chipping), and he loans us his splitter so that we can do the splitting ourselves, further keeping costs down. Wood is stacked properly so that it can begin curing. He does great work--cannot say enough good about our experience with him and his crew.

    Weston Arborists
Very professional work.  Nice group of guys.  The price was very reasonable especially given the number of days the crew was on site and their willingness to chip and remove additional brush from the site (that I dragged out of the woods).  Quality rating took a minor hit as some of the "collateral" damage to adjacent trees was left unaddressed.  For me this was no problem as I am capable of dealing with this myself, and i think the job ended up being larger than Weston thought it was going to be (partially due to the brush, although this was minimal).  Overall had a team of 3-6 workers on site for 5 days.
Would certainly use these guys again.

    Davis Tree & Logging
They were recommended by my neighbor. Their prices were great. The owner was easy to work with. He was very accommodating in case we had any changes. It wasn?t a big deal. He walked around when they were working.

Showed up on time, reasonably priced, got everything one in one day. Office was easy to work with and quick to respond to inquiries. Would recommend and use again.
