We live in Italy currently and have renters in our home in CT and he worked with them to accommodate their schedule. His expertise and skills are appreciated by our family as well as the renters in the home. He provided regular updates and suggested items that needed repair which was very welcome as our distance from the project limits our ability to know the state of the home. I have recommended him and will continue to recommend and utilize his services for any future projects with the home. ATetlow Builders LLCThe Tetlow Builders performed a complete kitchen remodeling, from floor to ceiling, plumbing, new lighting, installed cabinets, new tile flooring, backsplash, roof vent for microwave and all new appliances (purchased separately) installation. Dave Tetlow and his crew, Ken, Harry and Brian were excellent and very professional every time any work was performed, always keeping the worksite cleaned up daily. Dave kept us informed of the schedule and when to expect things to happen and usually happened as predicted. We were exceptionally grateful that Dave can do work and sub-contract out work, some plumbing and most electrical and keep to the schedule. This was true for asbestos flooring removal and disposal plus all demolished items. The cost included materials for flooring, lighting/electrical fixtures, cabinets (Schrock), countertop (quartz), sink (Stainless steel), faucet, plumbing and drywall besides labor. The design team (Heather) at Riverhead Building Supply in Westerly helped with this new kitchen remodel, too. We will always recommend and support this entire group in future home repair/remodeling work.- Robert S.

ADr. Energy Saver ConnecticutWith a name like and quot;Dr Energy Saverand quot; I was not predisposed to favoring these guys. The name seemed gimmicky and I imagined them to be a large impersonal profit-centered operation. Bruce Blanchette was the rep who came to give me the estimate. I was pleasantly surprised. He was low key, professional, very knowledgeable, and an enjoyable guy to spend time with; he spent almost two hours discussing and giving me advice on all sorts of things--some of which were unrelated to the project or any services he could have sold me, but he gave me some really useful information and ideas. When it came time to discuss the work I wanted done, he actually talked me out of doing as much as I originally wanted. work that would have resulted in more money for him, but that he felt was unnecessary. I got three estimates on the job and Dr Energy Saver was competitive with the others--but they were the only ones who talked me out of doing more work than necessary. I chose Dr Energy Saver because of Blanchette's clear honesty and knowledge. A scheduler called me to schedule the work and they were able schedule the work at a time convenient to me. On the day the work was to start, the crew (Ralph and Dan) showed up on time and with an impressive amount of equipment; they worked HARD for two long days--there was no question this was worth the money. I am a hard-core DIY guy, but there is no way I could have done what they did. Both Dan and Ralph were professional, courteous, and responsive when I had questions or concerns; like Bruce, they were knowledgeable and decent people that put me at ease about the project. The job took two days as they promised, and they did a great job--doing more than I expected, and they left the place cleaner than when they started. ATetlow Builders LLCDave Tetlow is a solid builder with a high integrity. He built trust with us on our project with great communication and follow through. Many times, Dave went above and beyond to help us and finish our project to our satisfaction. My husband is a fine artist so we had many details that we wanted in a certain way, and Dave was flexible with the execution. Sometimes we had long delays with our project, but that is expected with a complete rebuild like ours. The project lasted for a year and a half, from when the fire portion of the house was deconstructed until Dave's crew finished with their portion. They deconstructed the house by hand so we could save precious beams (pre-blight chestnut) for us to re-purpose in a creative way in the new house. There are many other cases I can state of where he made a big difference for us. I'm really glad we worked with Dave. He did a wonderful job.- Amy L.

ADaniel replaced a dozen wood casement windows for us with new vinyl clad ones. The windows he replaced were 20 year old ones from when the home addition was constructed. The other windows in the house were replaced about 15 years ago and Daniel was able to almost exactly match those. He provided the best price and his team was quick and efficient. They did a great job and the new windows are perfect.
