    DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen
We hired DreamMaker to completely redo our 12 year old kitchen-everything went, counters, cabinets, sink, appliances. They also reconfigured our opening between our kitchen and our great room. Final product was a total transformation. Process was professional the entire way. A rare combination of expert workmen coupled with low key and pleasant personalities! Management checked and doubled checked on the work on a regular basis. Highly recommend.

    Matt's Pro Plumbing Inc
We were happy with Matt and would use them again, but the project was not without hang-ups. We had done the demo and rough in plumbing in May, anticipating the arrival of some custom tile we had ordered. Neither we nor Matt had any idea how long a delay that would be.The tile wound up not showing up until mid July, and with vacations, etc., we did not get the bath back together till July 30th. Turning the water back on resulted in a leak that took out our den ceiling below! They repaired the leak that day, came back on August 21st to work on it some more, but we're still watching it and debating whether we should just replace the old pipes before we close everything up.

The electrician Rob was great and had a tough time venting the fan to the exterior, but did a wonderful job snaking it through the attic so as not to disturb the exterior trim. (Our house is 104 years old.) Everything he did is straight, neat, and perfect.

There is always a risk of a leak when new plumbing connects with old so I would not say it was anyone's fault. We still have to have a 4x10 section of the den ceiling replaced at our expense, but the den needed a redo anyway. Mario, the carpenter, will be back in September to do that...his sheetrock work was very nice in the bathroom.

Matt was also very helpful directing us to suppliers for our fixtures, etc. We chose our items and he bought them, so the price we paid was only a small mark-up over his price and much less than the retail would have been. Overall we were pretty satisfied and Matt's price was well below some of the other people we had talked to. I would recommend them to any of our friends.

Update 10/29/2015: I'd like to update my review. After emptying the den bookcases prior to the ceiling repair, we were able to get a good look at the plumbing work done by Matt's co worker Justin. We were shocked to see that a section of 2x10 joist had been removed to install the tub drain! This left an 8 foot section of joist cantilevered under the bathroom with no support. I emailed Matt twice asking him to come and check it out to see what could be done. He never got back to me at all. When Mario (who does jobs for Matt but also works for himself) came to do the ceiling we mutually agreed on a way to sister the joist. What is the most irritating is that we never would have known about this and my emails never got a response. So maybe having the ceiling fall in was a good thing. While we are happy with our bathroom I have to change my review to "proceed with caution"

    Lyman Kitchens
We went to them to see if they were interested in doing our bathroom remodel after our initial contractor went missing, literally. They are a small operation and didn't have time to work with us when we wanted the job to start and I had to call a few times to get them to respond from our initial visit.  So don't really have an opinion one way or the other.

    Senterline Construction Co LLC
We had initially,a slightly rough start with physically contacting them by phone but once we got the H. Depot folks involved everything went pretty smoothly. They came out within the first few days after we contacted them to estimate the job. We had to go back and forth a little with the contract before we got everything in there that we specifically wanted done, which of course pushed the cost up but honestly they were not far off from what we had been quoted by the other contractor who went missing on this job. I was soo happy to finally get this job underway and for the most part they were in and out within 2.5 to 3 weeks from start. We did miss some days when they could not get their contractors there and we did not always have the same folks working this job which lead to some confusion, specifically when the electrician put elec outlets in the wrong area. He had to change this for us and seemed upset with us about, per my husband who was home for much of the time folks were in our home. The electrician also put an unusual outlet confiquration together and left us without a switchplate for it. I went to several stores to see if I could purchase one, as they aren't expensive and I just fiqured he forgot only to find out that this is very unusual and even the electrical distributor in Hartford couldn't help us. Bottom line is after several phone calls, this switchplate cover is on back order and still not on my wall, hopefully coming soon. When the town inspector came he felt everything looked ok xcept to say that our wall hung doorway was not even, and in fact he is correct. I did let senterline know this but they haven't said anything back to us. Honestly to fix this they would have to rip the new wall they put up and redo. so I am ok with leaving it this way. We also got an additonal charge from the electrician when he put the toe kick heater in and charged us an additional 200 to put a switch on the wall to turn on and off, otherwise we would have had to get down on the floor to turn it on it and off. Something we didn't know when we decided to go with this heat system.

We had to wait over a month for the electric outlet cover and when I was called and told it was on back order again and would not be in till Dec., I told them this was not acceptable and requested they change the outlet to one that had a cover and they did this with a different electrician. After we painted the bathroom we discovered that the walls were not taped and plastered properly and had to have this redone, which they did. The other problem has been our pocket door which was getting rub marks on it before we even attempted to paint it. We were not able to have the contractor come out to look at this until after the holidays and when they came out they said they couldn't find anything really wrong with the door. There was also a long deep scratch in the door and my husband felt that a nail or screw that was used to insert the door must have been protruding in the door frame. They said they couldn't see anything and wanted us to just try and paint it again. Or we could pay them or another contractor to rip the door and install a regular door!. Shortly after leaving the house they called and said home depot said there was a problem with that particular door and they said they would fix it for us but sent someone out the next day to try and talk us into going with what we had. We my husband came home from work, he looked in the pocket door opening with a flashlite and immediately saw the protruding screws which he showed to the next contractor who came to the house and absolutely agreed with us. I have since had surgery so have had to wait to call them back to fix this problem. We also have an american standard wall mount toilet that has been randomly gurgling since 2 weeks after install and my husband who is a plumber had not been able to figure out what the problem is inc. calling the manufacturer so we are trying to contact the plumber who did the job from senterline to get his help but he hasn't called us yet. We were given his no and told to contact him ourself.
