  • Let me start by stating that I received several quotes to get the job done. All in which were any where from 18k-25k. Bills estimate was way under expectations. Essentially, we went from a disgusting wet muddy/dirt basement to a finished storage space. Bill told us exactly what his team would do and what to expect. Bills team worked consistantly and fast paced. They even cleaned up everything and when the job was complete, it was as if no one walked in the house (except for the obvious well done basement). I had several other jobs completed by other contractors and they were astonished by the job. Would hire again if renovating another home. Also to note, it took them 4 days for completion... amazing.

  • Alex was very knowledgeable in his suggestions. He met us at O & G to help us pick out the materials. He and his crew did an amazing job. I felt he was fair and honest. I purposely hired him mainly based on his high ranking on Angie's List. A lot of work and repairs were done and all to our satisfaction. He responds VERY quickly when called or texted. Our property was kept clean. We are already planning projects for his crew for Spring 2017.

  • Decided it was time to replace the outdated stonework around the house.  Since Alex Masonry received so many positive Angie's List reviews, they were my first and only choice.

Alex wasted no time returning my call; process began in April when we met at my house. Alex represents his company well. Timely calls & emails say a lot about the service provider.

With all the spring rain, I had no problem waiting for the job to begin early June. Alex & his hard-working crew showed up when expected both days. Pavers selected complimented the color of the house. To top it off, every trace of stone dust was washed and swept away. Nothing nicer than those who clean up after themselves. Am definitely thrilled with the job performed by Alex Masonry. Having an experienced & congenial mason to work with was a real plus, too.

  • The job went quite well, the original job was to install the patio first and make the retaining walls and walkway another job. Mike was very efficient with the prep work, the removal of existing walls , porch, etc. We decided to do it all in one job. It came out great, with  artistic touches that enhance the entire job. He listened to our ideas and incorporated a few of them into the project. We are all very happy  with the work and would recommend Rock Designs LLC, to anyone.

  • Sammy is an honest, hardworking contractor.  Very eager to please his client and do a thorough, but not unnecessary, job.  We are extremely pleased with his professionalism and the great job he did.

  • Alex contacted me the same day I requested the quote through Angie's list.  He arrived on time for the appointment, I accepted the quote he provided me.  He told me the job would start in approximately four weeks, but would contact me with a start date a week before.  The job started four weeks later.  Upon arrival, Alex introduced me to the crew who would be doing the work.  He reviewed with me the work that was agreed upon.  The crew got right to work.  The job took approximately 3 1/2 days.  The first day was spent removing the brick walkway and wood and brick patio and preparing the areas for the pavers to be installed.  During the 3 1/2 days, Alex always checked in with me prior to starting work and also at the end of the day to let me know what the crew had completed, etc.  The French drain that Alex installed in front of my two car garage is wonderful, I am no longer getting water in the garage or having to step into large puddles to get to my car if parked in the driveway.  I  have received many compliments on how beautiful the walkways, porch and patio look.  Alex and his crew did a great job and I would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to family or friends.

  • I used a $75 Bid Deal coupon for $300 of work form Angie's for work on my stone paved walkway.  They showed up and said they could repair the walkway if I gave them the stones for the value of the coupon ($300), but they would like to work on my bedroom fireplace.  We said 'let's take this one step at a time.  See the work on the walkway and then we'll talk the fireplace."  I did not hear from them for a few months and finally called them back.  I was told they would be there the next Friday for the work.  A subcontractor showed up not to do the work but to evaluate the job and then talk about my fireplace.  He stated that the walkway was just not a big enough job for him to do.  I again said, one step at a time.  Three phone calls later I received a promise that they were coming to do the work this time and not a new estimate.  The subcontractor showed up and was anxious to talk about the fireplace as again the walkway was not worth his time.  However, he and his crew finally did the work.  When they were cleaning up, I was asked for payment of $150.  I stated that I had been told that the coupon was supposed to cover this work.  He got a bit agitated and called into Rich and John's.  I cannot state what the subcontractor was told, but when he got off the phone he stated that I had not prepaid and, therefore, owed him money -- he had to pay his crew.  I was stuck.  I did not want these men to go unpaid, but I also didn't want to pay for work that I had previously paid for.  I was concerned that this amount would simply be taken off the hoped for chimney work.  The crew eventually left very unhappy.  I did call Rich and John's and was assured that I had paid but the office administrator was out. She would normally inform the subcontractors the job had been pre-paid.

All in all it was a disquieting series of events and so we have decided to look elsewhere for our chimney work. As for quality of the work, it was just ok.  The reinstalled steps are not really level and the work site has a good bit of cement drippings.

  • Start date had to be put off due to weather but once they started they quickly competed the work. They left the job site clean and removed all debris. We had good communications before and during the work.
