  After many years of thought and planning I decided the time had arrived to completely remodel my 1959 ranch house in Orange, CT. Knowing the project would involve all aspects of renovation (electric, plumbing, windows, siding, painting, kitchen/bath demolition, etc.) I knew a design/build team would be a smart investment. With all the decisions involved in the process the very best one I made was to select Baybrook Remodelers for the transformation of my home. Baybrook���s strength is the depth of service received from the initial consultation to the final creation. The advice and patience of Bill(salesman), Dan(design/estimator), and Maria(designer) was invaluable, they listened to all my questions, looked at all my inspiration photos (egads!), and then helped guide me through the details without pressure or judgement. There was some trepidation on my part as I would be living in the house with my two dogs during all the work, but my fears were unfounded. The project manager Pat came to the site every day to update me on the plan, always inquiring if there were any concerns or problems. The crew arrived on time every day and always made sure all was clean and safe before they departed. John (painter), Percy and Josh (carpenters), Gilson (demolition and more), Wonderson (tile artisan), and many others made each day a pleasure as I watched old become new! The entire project was completed on time even though some unexpected problems (rotted wood and joists) were encountered. All issues that arose were explained thoroughly and addressed immediately. Baybrook has been given my permission to phone me or see my home if you need further reassurance. Just give them a call, they may begin as strangers to you but will feel like family at the end.   I called on T.C's on two occasions. Once to repair a faucet and another time to repair a leak in a baseboard heating element. The work, on both occasions, was performed with promptness, speed and high quality. I would recommend T.C's without any doubt. You will be also very satisfied. Most professional crew I have seen.

  They did excellent work, were very professional, and were knowledgeable. The technician was professional, helpful, and understanding.
  My issue is the cost of services provided and not provided. They charge a $110 diagnostic fee?even if you can tell them what is wrong and needs to be done. They are on the pricey side for the cleaning and filter change. Probably about double what it should be. The worst was when I was quoted for a new thermostat. They were going to replace mine with one that cost about $15. It takes about 10 minutes to replace it. They quoted me nearly $200 to replace the thermostat?and they were already there doing other work! I left my house, went to The Home Depot, purchased a nicer one for $23, and installed it (Youtube) all in less than 40 minutes for a total cost of $23. The installation took 7 minutes because I had to read the manual first. Something like that should be $75-100. No more than that.
  All this said, I'd hire them for larger jobs, but not for maintenance and small issues. They're far too expensive.

  Excellent service, price, professionalism. They had to do extra work in removing mice nests, debris, and replace chewed wiring which was done cheerfully, quickly, and well-done. We also use them for all heating service and fuel delivery. We have been satisfied customers for over 35 years. Their response time is always excellent and work is completed on a timely basis.

  . Bob always does an excellent job. I appreciate his meticulous inspection of the system. After he did the work, we had the longest period of heat and high humidity that I can remember. The system worked perfectly.

  M & M Fuel Oils

  I have been a customer of Mand M Fuel for 10 years, since I moved into my current house. Each year they come to clean the furnace and burner etc as part of my annual maintenance contract. They are efficient, punctual and extremely clean - it's spotless when they leave. I love that it's a small company and they seem to care about their customers. Highly recommend!

  Very good. We have used AMAR many times. He has replaced Compressor on A/C system. Fixed dishwasher. Stove. Freezer.
  He is very honest. Has minimum charge to come out, but will only do service if appropriate.
  He actually diagnosed a septic problem and referred us to another professional.

  Tri-City Heating & Cooling

  We called Tri-City appliance because a circulator pump had failed. The pump was replaced but a day or two later developed a loud buzzing which we could hear from an adjacent room. Tri-City came again and the service provider said that the pump could be replaced but first we must replace the aquastat which he said was creating a too hot temperature. That was to be several hundred additional dollars. We then had two independent service people look at the aquastat and each told us there was nothing wrong with the aquastat at all. The buzzing noise on the circulator pump was very abnormal. So now we are stuck with a problematic circulator pump which has only a 90 day warranty and which Tri-City said they will not replace. We are disappointed because we had used Tri-City twice before and were extremely satisfied with their prior service.
  
  Update:  We were contacted by Tri City following this review and while the gentleman stood by his assessment, they were willing to return and replace the problem pump which they did several days later.  At least Tri City has restored our faith in their desire to provide customer satisfaction and we will now use them in the future.  thank you Tri City. 
  
  (We kept the B rating because we still had to go through this process to correct the problem.)

  They are very good and very personable. They are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for.  The service contact is $565 per year and it covers all of the systems from the oil tank, furnace, hot water heater, and power venter. They also work with you on financing. When my hot water heater went, their cost was very expensive and I went with another company. They were the highest of all the people that I got quotes from. . I opted to rent a water heater from another company where there was no money up front. After I dropped the hot water heater from the contract, the annual fee only dropped $15. I was surprised and I thought the price would drop more. Over the years, I have tried other furnace companies and their service is just not as good. They arrive when they say they are going to and always show up. I prefer paying a little more because their service is so good. They are very good people.
