    Sammy Masonry
Sammy, his dad, and their crew are great people. They have a fantastic work ethic and therefore were able to complete this large project in a very short period of time. The finished product is beautiful. We are very happy we chose Sammy Masonry!

Mr. Pasholli came by after work around 24 July.  He was very polite and we discussed at length the necessary repairs for a 25 foot long by 3 foot high brick wall in front of our house.  Additionally we looked at our two stucco chimneys and the necessary repairs for those.  He told me he would send me an estimate the following week.  The following week came and went and no word.  Finally, I called him on 7 August.  He explained that he did the estimate and didn't know why I didn't have it yet and he would check with his daughters who take care of the admin.  On Saturday, I finally received an estimate via email (dated 8 August) for the stucco chimney repairs only.  There was no mention of the brick wall job.  I emailed him back and asked when I could expect the estimate on the brick wall.  I never heard from Mr. Pasholli again.
A note to contractors:  It is basic courtesy to return phone calls and emails from your customers or potential customers.  Tell the truth.  If you can't do a job, don't have the time to do a job at present, then tell your customers that.  You do serious harm to your reputation and business when you string people along, don't reply, and don't let them know what is really going on.  Your motives might be good and your reasons might be valid, but if you don't communicate with your customers, they will assume your are unorganized, careless, and thoughtless and they will not hire you now or in the future.  Neither will all the people they tell about their experience with you. It's just common courtesy and good business practice.

    345 Stone Masonry
I hired 345 Stone Masonry in August 2013 to build me a built in BBQ grill next to my patio.  I spoke to many masons and got three quotes.  345 Stone Masonry was the middle quote but the owner, John, had previously done built in outdoor BBQs and seemed to be the most understanding of what I wanted.  I wanted the BBQ to blend in with the surroundings so we chose local fieldstone for the base and 2" bluestone for the counter tops.  I spoke to John regularly throughout the week or so it took to complete the project and we tweaked a few things along to way make the grill came out how I wanted.  345 had to deal with the plumber and electrician as the propane line runs from the house to the underside of the grill and it also must be plugged in.  The whole process went as smoothly as I could have hoped and now I have an outdoor BBQ that should last a lifetime.  The grill is beautiful, solid, and fits perfectly in the back yard.

    Coastal Chimney and Masonry
There is not much i can tell, Larry was punctual and polite. He made a comment about e-mail not being the best way to contact him. He came to the house by 8 am and we reviewed the job while looking at the outside of the house. Then i showed him the architects plans with the specific job details. He questioned the architect's use of copper underground and then suggested different material.
Two weeks later Hurricane Sandy came through devastating the shoreline. That was 2 weeks ago and I have not heard from him as of yet.

    Father and Son Masonry
Masonry work that was done incorrectly before we bought the house had failed:  the stucco was falling off the chimneys, and the slates had popped off the stoops.  They removed all the old paint and stucco, attached heavy wire mesh, and applied several coats of new stucco.  A large shrub was planted too close to one of the chimneys; when they saw that I regretted having to cut it down, they dug it up,  asked where I wanted it, and replanted it for me.  When they were rebuilding one of the stoops, I mentioned that I would ask them back at a later date to create a ramp to make access easier for my husband.  They immediately reconfigured the stoop and built a ramp using a piece of stone from the chimney cover they had replaced.  They went well above and beyond and charged nothing extra for this additional work.  They were determined to do the job right and exactly as I wanted, and their finished work looks great.  They are excellent old-world craftsmen who carefully consider every detail, and I will definitely use them again in the future.

C P Landscaping is a man and his son and they do exquisite landscaping work. They came when they said they would and got right to work. I was very impressed with the amount of work they could get done in a short amount of time. My walkway and stairway are simply beautiful.

Very good experience with Randy. He was as punctual as a 45 minute commute allowed, and designed and installed a walkway that is both functional and extremely pleasing aesthetically.
