    They came quickly to assess my situation and provided an estimate on the spot, in writing. When I had a follow up question, they returned to see my existing boiler again. On the date selected for installation, their people arrived on-time and were organized and polite. Their price was comparable to the other quote I received, but I feel their service was better than the other company.

    Every time they were in my home this past year, things did not go well. Furnace did not work right after annual cleaning. Six months later, they did a shoddy repair, which broke down four months later. And when some equipment needed to be replaced, they provided the most expensive quote. They didn���t seem to care at all about customer loyalty (I had been a customer under contract for 6+ years).

    Beware this contractor (Harold Hermmes and Joe)has good prices because he does not change necessary parts like his competition. This is a second company listing because of other bad reviews and unhappy customers. Originally charged $6500 for a full system replacement. System did not work in the winter and he charged me another$1,100 to cut another unnecessary air return into my office wall. Unit still did not work because he never made the return entry the proper size for the unit and thus forced me to eliminate a UV light that was installed. They never connected the condensation line to the air conditioner so I had a so leak that ruined a hand scraped wood floor and introduced mold into my house(see photos). They charged me another $350 to replace my pump which was fine but disconnected by them. Harold denied any responsibility claiming that because I change my air filters(which he tried to get me to live without and he does not include a media rack in his prices) he has no responsibility. Well its funny because he changed the last 2 air filters because my unit was not working. It is just a year old now and did not last a half a season. See my other review in their duplicate company listing. He did not include several parts that are recommended by Carrier for a proper installation.

    I called Green Mechanicals on 6/13 to request repair on a failed AC unit. I explained to the person on the phone that I am the owner of the condo unit and that I do not live in CT. I rent the unit to a person and that I will have my maintenance person meet the AC tech. The person told me to text a number to schedule the appt. I texted the address to the condo. I didn't receive a response so I sent another text in the evening. The person responded he would be there by 1:00 on 6/14. My maintenance person called the number to confirm and he said he would not be coming because no one to pay. Apparently, Green Mechanicals only accepts cash and wont accept credit card payment over the phone. I have no issue with the payment terms but this should have been stated upfront. Green Mechanicals should state their payment terms on the phone or clearly somewhere on there site. I was clear on my situation and that I am not in CT. Time was wasted and my paying tenant continues not to have AC. Review Update Upon writing this review Green Mechanicals called me and said they would service my ac and take payment over mail. He was very accommodating to work with my schedule. I wanted to give Green Mechanicals a second chance. In the end I did not go forward and would not use them in the future. The following is an update of the review and what transpired after Green Mechanicals called me. See the text exchange between Green Mechanicals and myself. I have no experience with Green Mechanicals ability to service an AC. This feedback is only on my interaction with Green Mechanicals to schedule an appointment. 6/16 10:23 pm - Service Provider- - I want you remove the bad review from Angie's list, ( we do only provide service to people who live s in the home of service rendered and pay at the same time with a check ) that is my company policy , when I ask your guy who is going to pay for it , he stated he is not that's the reason why we did not go there ,before I proceed on Monday.     Beware!!! Harold and Joe are deceitful and negligent! I am currently having a horrible experience. 9 Months ago Harold sold me a "whole new system"(2.5 ton) for $6500 complete. He did not tell me it would not include parts as directed by Carrier for a proper installation. In the winter, the heater did not work and he made excuses to charge me $1,100 (originally billed $1,800, yet quoted by Harold $700 prior to work) for putting another air return hole in my office wall because there was a air restriction and when complete it still did not work. Turns out he installed too small an air opening in the unit and had to permanently remove my UV germ killing light to expand it. He did not connect the condensation line so the unit leaked until I noticed it buckled my 3/4" scraped hard wood floors on the floor below and now I have mold growing from my ceiling and walls(photo attached). He refuses to provide his insurance information and denies responsibility because he "does not change my air filters". He changed the 2nd to last 2 filters because he was still doing repairs to get my HVAC unit to work. Also ironic because he tried to get me to eliminate the use of an air filter completely to improve the air flow and reduce restrictions. He charged another $350 to connect the condensation line and replace the water pump(which was still working fine, if he connected it). That $6500 system is now $8,000 (plus the cost of damage to my home)and still has issues. This is not even a year old. Oh yeah, he did not replace other necessary parts like the pad for leveling the outside condenser (included by all competitors). These guys are con artists and I cannot recommend them. Stay away or it will cost you $$$! Paying another company more money will save you money very quickly down the road.

    Did not fix the issue on the first visit - said I needed an electrician. At $200, the electrician evaluated and said it was a A/C condenser problem. Back came A&S Nathan who fixed the problem but not before switching out my thermostat without permission for a model I could find at Home Depot for $35.00. I was charged $155.00. Plus $155.00 labor for an air conditioning problem to begin with. When I called about the switched out thermostat, the owner invited me to check their dumpsters if I wanted the original one back. Not used to being treated so rudely nor having my home altered without my permission, I am writing this review. I would never have this person or his associates to my house again. Not recommended.

    We are extremely pleased with quality of work performed by Tyler Heating & AC. They were responsive to our request for an estimate - the salesman (Robert) showed up on time for our appointment and he was able to provide estimates on the spot for different tiers of AC units. This was a huge plus for us as some companies will show up and never provide the estimate and won't return phone calls. Robert was more than happy to answer our questions after providing the estimate and would promptly return our calls within the same day. The installation crew showed up on time and were able to complete the entire installation in one day, ahead of schedule. They were professional, courteous, and left the house in cleaner condition than when they arrived - all dust/debris was vacuumed up and the floors were cleaned. They took the time to walk us through everything they were doing and were very patient and helpful in answering our questions and showing us how everything worked. Our only "complaint" is that the our crown moulding had to be cut in the hallway to fit the return duct vent without another viable solution. This was a very minor point in the grand scheme of things. After a few days of use, we realized that the fan only option on the AC was not working. After placing a call to Tyler, they were able to send someone back the next day and the technician was able to re-wire the unit and the fan option works. We are very pleased with the level of customer service and professionalism of the entire staff, from the salesman, to the technicians, and the sales/installation coordinator (Cinda). They made the entire process incredibly smooth and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We would absolutely recommend Tyler Heating and AC and we are looking forward to working with them in maintaining our AC unit going forward.

    They were extremely professional & respectful of the property & had the job done in approx. 2 & 1/2 hours. They also installed a leak guard so that if there is another leak and water hits the pan on the bottom of the heater, it will automatically shut off. The entire price was $2,250 which included everything; installation, the heater, the leak guard, the removal of the old unit. It took me about 2-3 wks to get an itemized bill for my insurance purposes..

    Since there was a $100 charge for an estimate, I asked for a ballpark price to install the boiler ahead of time. I was told $1200 plus materials. The estimate came out to over $3600, so obviously disappointed in terms of initial information. I would never have paid $100 to get an estimate of $3600 if the rep had told me that up front.
