Driveway Pavers reviews in Norwalk

    P&S Paving Inc
We made appointment for having our driveway sealed. Twice. Both days, the company failed to show and did not contact us. Each time, we had to call them and all they said was "sorry". Each time, they blamed someone else in the office for terrible customer service. They never did service. DO NOT USE.

What an honest company! I was told that my driveway probably has another year or so left and that "putting on sealer would make NO difference. Why not wait another year or two and then re-pave?" Not putting on sealer for another or two will go toward saving for the re-paving. We really appreciate their advice!

    ADR Paver

On or about August 21st, I contacted ADR Paving to request an estimate for sealing my driveway.  We agreed to meet at 6:30 PM on Monday, August 24th at my house.  I texted the vendor a confirmation e-mail with the date, time, my address and an alternative phone number.  On Monday, August 24th, no one showed up.  I texted the vendor at approximately 8:30 PM asking where he was.  When I got to work the following day, I had a voicemail message from Mr. Reis advising that he never got my texts so he didn't have my address.  He asked that I call him back to reschedule.  The time stamp on the voicemail was 6:59 PM, already a half an hour late for our appointment.  I was torn about calling to reschedule because a true professional would have contacted me before a half an hour after our scheduled appointment to tell me he never received the text he was expecting with my information but I did call on Wednesday.

When I spoke with Mr. Reis on Wednesday, and we agreed to reschedule for Saturday, August 29th at 9 AM, I asked if he needed me to resend my information.  He said no, that he had it.  I never resent the texts from August 21st so that means he was either lying and had gotten them in a timely manner but just blew off our initial appointment or he has the worst cell phone service provider and does not get his text messages for days.

On Friday, August 28th at 10:40 PM, I received a text from Mr. Reis stating exactly as follows:  "Good evening! I'm sorry again, but in this Saturday it is my birthday, and I decided to take the day off for my family and my friends, so therefore all my schedule'm for this Saturday I'm decided canceling and redrawing for another day of the week.  I'm sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks Reis" (misspellings and autocorrects included).  I was floored that (a) someone could have forgotten it was their birthday and (b) that he would have the audacity to text me at 10:40 PM when our appointment was for 9 AM the following morning.  The following is, verbatim, the remainder of our text conversation that night:

ME:   "You didn't know it was your birthday on Saturday when I spoke to you on Wednesday???? Don't worry about rescheduling - I'll find someone more reliable.  You didn't have my texts on Monday but then they miraculously altered (sic - autocorrected 'appeared') by Wednesday when you said you had my address????

And, on Wednesday, you said it was a third person, not your personally, that was coming.  Enjoy your birthday.  You've lost my business and all of this will be reflected on my review on Angie's list.

ADR PAVING:   (following morning)  Good morning!  I got your message now! It was not even a miracle I have with me your address on Wednesday when you called me, I just had your address after you have me send a message on Tuesday asking about my appointment that I missed on Monday, then that went relate you with appointment that I had lost because I did not find the address.  Sorry me, but when I talked to you on Wednesday I had forgotten my birthday would be today.  Once again I'm sorry!"

And once again, he lied.  I did not send him a message on Tuesday.  I sent him a message with my address on Friday, August 21st and a follow up message when he blew me off on Monday at approximately 8:30 PM.  I never sent another text.

This company, or at least its owner, is untrustworthy and disreputable.  I would never use them nor recommend them.

Joe LaValle was the project manager and the project went extremely well.  Joe is very knowledgeable, proactive, and a pleasure to work with.  Carpenters and tradesmen were skilled and cleaned up after themselves everyday.  Very pleased with Homeline!!!

Piro gave us an estimate in April, we accepted the estimate in May, and we scheduled for the end of June.  The estimate was not the least expensive, nor was it the most expensive.  They showed promptly to begin work about 8:00 Friday the 21st of June, and were quite efficient about removing the old asphalt.  The old surface removal and grading was done by late afternoon on Friday June 21st, and paving was scheduled for Monday June 24th.  The paving started Monday morning and by early afternoon they were packing up.
Throughout the whole process we were informed on the next steps and how things were progressing.  Piro told us how to care for our new driveway and gave us tips on keeping it looking new.  The crew worked tirelessly, although due to soaring temperatures they were forced to take a few breaks.  I made sure to offer them cool bottled water to keep them hydrated!
I was very pleased with the end result, I would love to work with them again.

Tim was very friendly- a real neighborhood guy. His price was lower than the other estimate I received and the work was done to our satisfaction. The only area for improvement would be responsiveness. I had to call the office several times before getting a call back.

If you're looking for value for your money - look no further! I received 3 quotes and ADL was by far the best, in addition to being able to fit the work in a tight time frame. The driveway needed to be completely prepped (it was gravel before), relocate Belgium block stones that were sealed in concrete to widen the driveway, relocated a fence and paved the driveway all in the same day. Reis' crew is extremely efficient and I highly recommend him.

I left a message on 7/1 indicating that we wanted to make an appointment for an estimate.  I mentioned that I found their company on Angie's List.  One week later, left another message.  My husband received the call back.  He was asked whether we wanted to make an appointment or just have an estimate in our mailbox.  We waited another week & when called back we were told they only wanted do private roads,

I left a message with Luciano Paving seeking an estimate for a driveway replacement on the 8th of April. I was called back on Friday the 12th and we set up a time for the estimate in the afternoon of the same day. The phone conversation was pleasant and to the point. I was told to expect someone after 1 PM. Nobody showed or called. I was called again on Saturday at 12:30 PM and he said he got held up because of rain, would I mind if he came by in about 30 minutes? I agreed and waited two hours and fifteen minutes before he showed up. He was verbally aggressive as he started the measurements. When I mentioned that we were soliciting several estimates he became brash and boasted that he could beat any price that anyone else could give us. He then asked who else estimated the job. When I did not speak right away, he started asking specifically by name who else he thought I might have requested a quote from. He mentioned a competitor who was based out of Norwalk and when I said there was an estimate from that contractor he immediately disparaged the work done by the other contractor and said and quot;My prices are better than his any day of the weekand quot;. He completed the measurements, and listed a price that was $1,100 OVER the competitor he mentioned. When I pointed out that he was the higher estimate, he said well I can drop my price by $800. I joked that the reduced price was still higher, and he said that his quality would show for a greater price, despite boasting only 20 minutes before that he would beat any price.
After he left, I looked at his estimate compared to the others I had received, and decided to use the competitor he disparaged and who bid $1,100 lower.

The job was done to specifications, on time, and with a coureous and professional attitude.  We wish that this company would have responded to our calls a few months after the work was done regarding some pitting in the driveway, and pooling at the apron.  It seems as if "Walter"  is in the process of handing off the business to his sons.  This is a well-respected company in town, but this may be the new breed of professionalism that is lacking a personal touch.
