  • My delivery time was 9:42am to 12:42pm. Not a problem. As we have not moved into the home as yet, I dropped my husband off at 9am. We opened the front doors and turned on the lights and then I left to get my hair done.   I knew I wasn't going to be around for the delivery, so when I sched'd it I made sure to tell the woman on the phone that my husband was going to be the one at the house. I gave her his cell phone (as I knew I wouldn't be able to answer mine) and told her that it would be the contact number for the delivery. She said it wouldn't be an issue, repeated the number to me, we were all set.   At 10:08 I saw I had a missed call on my phone. I called back the store and they told me the delivery man had been and left as no one was there to take delivery.   Now.... I know that my husband was there. For at least 40 min prior to the delivery window even opening. He was hanging out in the front of the house working on the garden. I know I'm not crazy and I know he isn't lying.   So I called back and told them that was insane. Not even logical. They read this bizzare description of my home... as what? Proof that the driver had been there? I asked why they didn't call my husband's cell phone. They said my cell was the only contact number on the account.   So I said. OK. Clearly the delivery man was lying. (Later, after speaking with my neighbor, I found out the delivery man HAD been... at 8:35 in the morning....) I asked if they could come back. The woman said no problem, she would send them a message and they would head back.   OK.   Around 12:50pm I had my husband call back to see what the eta might be. They told him the truck had to make a few deliveries but that it would be there between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. OK. Not a problem. I'm trying not to be angry as I really just want the couch etc.... and we have some things to do around the property anyway.   At 3:00pm when nothing has arrived we call back. They don't know where the truck is. At this point it has been 6 hours of waiting for this order. I am starting to get very very frustrated and I have spoken to my neighbor who told me the delivery guy came over two hours early. I try to explain this to customer service who could pretty much care less.   Loooong story short: we wait until 6pm after many assurances that the truck is on it's way to North Haven, only to be told by another customer service rep that the truck was never sched to return. From the very beginning. At this point the frustration and anger mount to the point that I mention canceling the order. Without hesitation they immediately transfer me to another customer service agent who wants my credit card number so she can cancel my order!   ????!!!????? There are no words. No words. The delivery men show up two hours early and I get punished for it. Again and again. I lost hours off my life I'll never get back waiting for an order that was never going to come and Bob's pretty much told me to go pound sand.   So I start crying. You know... it's been a long day. A very long and very frustrating and powerless day. The customer service rep offers to see if she can waive the delivery fee if I want to re-sched to have the order delivered again. I just want to say no.... but I say OK. Then I get disconnected.   I called back and re-sched the delivery for this coming Saturday. They probably are not going to waive the delivery fee and it is also possible that the delivery men are not going to show up again. And there is pretty much nothing I can do about it.   Bobs could care less about it's customers. They let the delivery people do whatever they want and when you call to complain they tell you to go screw yourself.... after they have made you wait for 9 hours.   I just feel so defeated and so angry.
