All work was done on time and within budget. The owner, M. Silva, was always on the job to oversee the work and make sure it was done properly. There was great attention to detail. Rather than reinstall the old flimsy closet rods, he proposed a redesign of the closet rods & shelves to replace the old rods that used to collapse. Now the closet really works like a closet and I dont have to guess how many items I can hang before it falls. I highly recommend Maycom Carpentry for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. They will get the job done to perfection.

Great! The work was done at probably the hottest part of a very hot summer but the crew showed up early to make sure that things got done. Gene took care of some imperfections in spots on the replaced siding. He gave me tips on the deck work that we chose to do ourselves and on painting a front door for our daughter. The final product looks terrific.

There were some delays in timing from both sides, and there was mutual agreement on the start date window. Once the work was started, it was about a week and 1/2 until completion. I (and my neighbors) were impressed with the prep work that Gene and his crew performed, masking and taping all windows, entrances, and areas abutting the sections to be stained. There were some problem areas with the new cedar boards, causing the wood to curl and peel up/off. Gene had a solution for the problem and you wouldn't know there had been any issues. The temps during the project were extremely hot and humid. One member of the crew showed up at 5:30am to get a head start before the heat set in and to keep the work on track. When finished with an area, Gene and his crew cleaned up the contrasting trim that had been oversprayed during the prior paint job. He did a great job on both the exterior and inside of our front door which is hand carved and not easily replaced. I don't think it looked that good when we bought the house! Gene shared tips on painting, since we decided to restain the decks ourselves. It's all the small things in addition to a quality job that make our experience with Top Coat such a positive one. We called all of the references that Gene provided to us. Each one had nothing but great things to say about him and the quality of the work done. For the record, I found the pricing to be "in the ballpark" not the highest and not the cheapest. If you define a good price as one that is fair and for which you get a quality job, then an A rating is deserved. We plan to use Top Coat again for additional interior projects.

Dan and Jeff did an incredible job of power-washing all of the necessary areas of my mom's house that is located in Niantic, CT. I found them to be very responsive during the quotation, scheduling and delivery phases (rapid turnaround/best availability to perform the work/punctual/flexible). In particular, I wanted to highlight their communications throughout the scheduling process and as we actually arrived at the house. I also found them to be very forthright and honest in the work assessment, time to finish and additional services that were very practical given the core job that needed to be completed. Based on the excellent work and service for the inital job, I recommended them to my sister who had a very large deck area power-washed, as well as a small roof area cleaned. As with my mom's house, they did a terrific job and my sister is very pleased with the excellent service and results. I highly recommend Rainbow Hydra-Blast as a first-class service organization, as well as price competitive based on the multiple job quotations that I solicited prior to choosing this provider. Great job and excellent service!

It didn't work out very well.  He didn't do a very good job.  The painting was substandard.  The workmanship on the carpentry work was bad.  My deck looks terrible.  I had to repaint the whole thing again this year after having it done last year.  He was way over on his labor price.  I told him that he didn't put the hours that he said he would put in.  He took out his calculator and jacked up the rate to reach the same number.  He was recommended by a good friend of my wife because he had done a lot of work for them.  He had charged them over $100,000 for the work.  It was a lot of money.  He wanted the money upfront from me.  I'm a builder and I know the business.  I gave him $5000 to start, but he constantly kept asking for money.  If you're in business for long enough you have enough money to fall back on; you don't take the customer’s money upfront and do the job.  He ran out of primer so he kept on painting at places without the primer.  He was agitated every time I complained, so I kept my mouth shut.  I put primer myself and repainted some of it this year.  He didn't wash the roof properly, so I ended up washing it again.  He didn't do a very good job of it.  He missed a whole lot of it.  He had to buy a machine to do some work.  Then he came back not knowing how to run the machine.  That was funny.  Being a builder I asked him to do it in a certain way.  He had actually done it before, but I had to show him how to do it.  He did the ceiling, and I supervised a little bit of it.  The leak is pretty much invisible now.  Nobody would notice it.
