    Weiss, Dr. Joseph
I have had 3 episodes of skin cancer, squamous cell carcinoma, in the last ten years. In each case, Dr Weiss has diagnosed and successfully treated it. He is very direct, which I really like.. I think Dr Weiss is a wonderful Dermatologist and I would recommend him to anyone.

    Paula Bevilacqua MD
She's phenomenal, we've been with her for years. She's incredible in terms of her diagnostic skills. If you can go in with something and she can take care of it right there in the hospital she will. She's a busy mom herself so she understands a busy life. She has many accreditations from different associations. She is so knowledgeable and very, very personable. She has a lovely bedside manner and she takes time to really listen. My whole family goes to her.

    Zweig, Dr. Elliot C.
Arrive a few minutes early to complete your paperwork, as you would with all medical appointments. Overall, everything went smoothly and well. It was easy to get the appointment, easy to get a convienty follow up, and easy to deal with both the office staff and the doctor. All were professional and quite pleasant!

I have read other comments and agree that she is not a "chatty" person, but I am not there to chat. I am comfortable with her demeanor and do not hesitate to ask her questions.

    Castiglione Jr, Dr. Frank M
He is a doctor that does not jump the gun. He is throughout on what he does and what he finds. And he always comes through for us.

    Fortier, Dr. Lawrence J
Dr. Lawrence Fortier is a MOHs surgeon. He does not take regular Dermatology patients. But, if you have skin cancer, there is no other doctor I can recommend as highly as I do Dr. Fortier. He is a Dermatologist, but he is also a Pathologist, and as such, when you are having MOHs surgery to remove a basal or squamous cell carcinoma, he has the capability right in his offices to review the skin that was removed to make certain that all the cancer was taken away. Instead of having to wait with an open wound while the surgeon sends the specimen to a lab for confirmation and then waits for the results (sometimes it takes up to 2-3 hours depending on where the lab is located), that quick procedure in Dr. Fortier’s own lab, keeps the possibility of infection to a minimum. Being a pathologist, he can quickly determine whether or not he has successfully eliminated all the cancer cells. Having already had MOHs surgeries in the double digits, there was only one MOHs procedure that Dr. Fortier performed on me in which he had to remove more of the area that contained the cancer after his examination. Time elapse between the 1st and 2nd procedures? - 12 minutes. I have never had the cancer return to the area that was excised. When your Dermatologist, after a lab diagnosis, confirms cancer, you should have a choice as to the method of removal. MOHs surgery is the safest, having the best “non-recurring” outcome score. Being a surgeon, Dr. Fortier will take you as a patient only after cancer has been independently confirmed by another regular Dermatologist. The results of the surgery – cosmetically - are great. The ‘scar’ is a thin line which almost completely disappears in time. The atmosphere in Dr. Fortier's office is friendly and the staff very helpful and concerned. Dr. Fortier himself is awesome! a surgeon and as a person.

    Ferraro, Dr. Patricia
I arrived for my appointment and was seen by the receptionist who checked my appointment information . I then took a seat in the waiting area which was clean and comfortable. I was screened by nurse who went over my meds and medical history and was then seen by Ms. Ferraro. She gave me my yearly check-up,asked if I had any questions or concerns. She is quite personable and an excellent nurse-practitioner. I have been seeing Ms. Ferraro for several years and would highly recommend her.
