I had a wet basement and the provider chiseled out a trench and installed a sump pump. The positive: the area where the trench is installed works and water doesn't come in. The other positive is that the job was relatively inexpensive. So, the "job" worked, water is not coming in. But, I think the job looks bad / ugly. The cement they used to cover the trench has already split in several spots plus it is super thin in some areas. This is not what I consider a quality job. The did solve my water problem but it doesn't look good. I wish I had spent a little more and gotten a nicer looking job.
If you want cheap -- get these guys; it works. But looks ugly. If you want a job that looks nice, then don't get these guys.
Note: I don't remember the exact date of installation of price. The above May 1st date and 3000 is my best memory.

    Attack-A-Crack Foundation Crack Repair
Loved Luc and the wonderful service that he provided.  He was punctual with his estimate, and very timely with his service.  He did a superb job fixing the hole and cracks in my basement which were a long-term source of anxiety when the forecast indicated rain.  I have not had a drop of water in my basement since his repair.  Not cheap, but it was money well spent.  We plan to live in this house no more that 10 years, and these were problems that were going to have to be resolved before we could sell.  If you have a foundation issue, I recommend him highly.  He completed the job in 4 hours.  A+ Luc and Co. for a job well done.

We had an Angie's List coupon for a basement inspection. They scheduled instantly, came on time and were very professional and helpful. We decided not to pursue putting in a large humidifier, but if we were to undertake any waterproofing, we would probably call them in first.

    Connecticut Basement Systems
We just moved into our house on June 1, and a few days later we had some strong downpours and our basement flooded! It turns out there was a sump pump which had been installed by CT Basement Systems a couple of years earlier. However, it was pumping the water into a gutter drain next to the house. This gutter drain was clogged, and the water was rising out of the ground and pouring into a window well, and from the well back into the basement!
Danny from CBS came out, and suggested putting in a perimeter system around that part of the house, which would have cost about $1800. I thought about it a few days, and figured that a better thing to do was to lead the water from the sump and gutters away from the house. So I had Danny come back and told him my idea, and he thought it would work. A month later he came back and installed the 4" drainage pipe and hooked in the sump and two gutters for a cost of $600.
It's almost a year later, and it's worked perfectly so far. We've had many days of heavy rain, and the sump pumps that water into the new drainage, and the water emerges at the end of the drainage pipe near the border of our property. Not a drop in our basement! I'm glad I thought of this solution - I guess I can't blame CBS for suggesting the more expensive solution.

Called the number. The person pickup the phone talk all time and won't
let you say a word. Advertising he's best. I ask him if he can come out.
He said he won't and he ask if I also called other places. I said I did
and he said why don't you hired them instead then hung up. The place
don't have a real address either something I realized in case if you
need to complain I don't think you can. Beware!
I normally don't write any bad reviews unless I have to.

    Attack-A-Crack Foundation Crack Repair
In the end he told me that my basement was in great shape and to go ahead and finish it off without a worry. He didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary and for that I would recommend Attack a Crack to anybody interested in having a professional inspection of their basement without the fear of being sold unneeded services.

    RAPS PLUMBING & HEATING
I had purchased a drain cleaning + whole house inspections for $160 through Angie's list.  Note that there was an additional $90 (location dependent, I believe) dispatch fee that was not mentioned in the original advertisement, but RAPs quickly contacted me and let me know this was the case to make sure I wished to still purchase the service.  I did. | |The first gentleman to come was punctual and worked on the drain issue for ~1hr.  It was a significant problem that couldn't finally be cleared from the top, so with the help of another gentleman whom he called in (for a bit more experience and some additional equipment) they found the relevant pipe in the basement (which was not easy due to a creative plumbing route for the drain pipe) and snaked it from below, eventually clearing the problem.  Both men on the job seemed to know their work, were professional and pleasant, and I certainly believe I got more than my $250 worth.

After the initial visit, most phone calls and emails went unanswered.  Email and voice mailboxes were full.  Occasionally when we could get through, we were told he was sorry for the delay and would get us an estimate by the end of the week.  MONTHS have passed and NOTHING.  Very unprofessional.  Don't waste your time.

    Attack-A-Crack Foundation Crack Repair
This was a Angie's list big deal for $199 for 4 ft repair. Our crack was longer so we needed to pay for the additional 1 ft, which we understood when we called.  We also have had an intermittent leak from the well cut for years which the well company was not able to repair. Luc also quoted us a price on that area as well and was confident it could be fixed. He provides a lifetime guarantee, for the house for both items.
Justin repaired the 5' crack the day after Luc (owner) looked at it. It was done efficiently and looks very good- time will tell if it truly is waterproof. We have had no rain as yet.
The well cut required different work. When the existing patch was removed, we had a substantial amount of water coming into the basement-  which Justin could not stop.  We needed to call a plumber to repair the line from the well to the pump- we were lucky our plumber responded immediately, Justin called his boss and Luc came (he was about 45 min away) to supervise and assist in the repair. Both men were very conscientious and responsive. Needless to say the water issue was a concern. Before the patch was removed the spot was damp but not leaking. It only leaked during heavy rains. RESOLUTION: Well line repaired by plumber/well company ( the line was 3' underground), Luc waited for plumbers to finish and made foundation repair.  Opening repaired by Attack A crack. So far so good. I have confidence in Luc if any problem recurs.  We won't know till next major storm.
