Excellent service. I didn't know if I'd need a new garage door. Thankfully not. My garage door is going up and down like a charm. When I do need a new garage door I will certainly call this company. I called them on a Friday morning and the technician was here on Friday afternoon. His service and explaining were excellent. Thank you so much. Every time the door goes up and down so smoothly now, I am so grateful. My garage door and opener were installed before 1993.

Better Homes Siding & Improvements LLC
After interviewing many, many contractors over the years to have our house practically redone with windows being replaced, siding, new gutters, down sprouts and some carpentry work that needed to be done, we settled on hiring Better Homes Siding and Improvements. We actually sat with Mary Lou maybe 3 - 4 years ago and for some reason, her company made a huge lasting impression on us because we had remembered her when it was time to hire someone. Her professionalism, kindness, but mostly her honesty gave her this job. At first, we will omit it was scary as the start of the job was constantly being pushed out. At first, it was a new garage door that was put in but then we had to wait maybe another 2 months for the new hatchway. After that installation, we thought the windows and siding would continue but it did not for many months after. So, we started to second guess ourselves because it was approximately 10 months from the date that we signed the contract to completion but our patience paid off. So, the only negative I can say is that it just seemed to take forever to get the job completed but, it was a huge job with 54 windows that needed custom sizing, wrapping the home, siding, gutters, garage door, and hatchway along with carpentry to the home to give it a special touch. The crew has fantastic, creative workmanship and took the neighbors into consideration by making sure their ideas were fitted into the neighborhood. Your neighbors will end up loving you! The positive....we would do it all over again! Once the windows started, everything else followed in a very organized way. Her crew is phenomenal and Mary Lou's professionalism and customer service is something you don't find anymore in this crazy world. The crew was quiet, hard working, honest, showed up every day and was able to answer any questions that we had as the job was being done. They did so many extra things that was so appreciated and cleaned up their mess every day. Even though the job seem to take forever to finish, it was well worth it. The job came out absolutely beautiful and if something did not look right to us, they were right out fixing it to our satisfaction. They do whatever they have to so they can please their customer. Everyone who has visited our home has remarked on how beautiful the house looks. Our neighbors sure are happy and thrilled as their work has brought up the value on their homes. We recommend Mary Lou and her fantastic crew for their knowledge, honesty, trustworthy, excellent customer service, skilled trades and caring. We wouldn't go with anyone else and neither should you after this review. You won't be sorry.

Very well. Also, as part of the examination of garage door tune-up, it was suggested that the garage door springs were too large, which hindered how the garage door goes up and down. I replaced them for a nominal price. Completely satisfied and will use them again.

Very well. The door would only partially rise, then get stuck. Initially he said it was the motor which would need replacing. He then went on to the tune-up and adjusted the springs. This corrected the issue with the sticking door. He then changed out the rollers (one side was badly chewed up due to a bent track) and lubed all the rollers and hinges. The door moved smoother and quieter than it ever has. He mentioned that it wouldn't hurt to replace the springs and pulleys, but as the door seemed to work well now I told him I might at a later date and he didn't push the issue further. If I do change those out I'd definitely go back to this company.

Everything went really well. They sold me and installed the garage door opener. They let me know when I had questions about the model of the motor that a different model was more expensive and that it wasn't really necessary. I really appropriated that level of candor. So many providers don't offer that.

There isn't that much to an install like this, but the man arrived on time with the proper equipment and got right to work. There was some carpentry involved along with the wiring?he seemed adept at both. After maybe three hours he tested both doors (including the one on which he had replaced the springs) and that was it. That was roughly sixteen months ago
    no problems since.

they were on time,  assessed the problem , gave me my options and prices. Although the deal was not for the product that I had purchased but a tune up on my old garage opener , they were willing to incorporate that price as part of the new one.

they were finished in a timely matter , answered all my questions and removed all the old parts

I was looking for a handyman to shore up outer garage door openings to allow for safe installation of new doors. I called this provider but never received a call back to either say he would take a look at the problem or was not available.
All in all not a good way to impress someone.

    B&B Overhead Door LLC

Garage door shopping was not something I have done before and I spent some time gathering information about the various door brands as well as installer's and decided to go with B+B Overhead doors. Bruce was prompt in giving a estimate for replacing 2 doors which included removal of all the old equipment that many others added as an additional cost.
Once the door's arrived the install went well and everything was done quite professionally.
I would hire these folks again and recommend them to friends and family.

My old Stanley garage door opener has been problematic over the years and it finally broke beyond my ability to repair it. I purchased the Angie's list deal and was contacted promptly by the provider to schedule.
The technician showed up on time and did a great job with the installation. He even lubricated all of the parts of the door to ensure smooth operation with the new opener.
The opener itself is great very quiet and smooth however it is slow. The bigger issue is that there is no way to turn the light on other than opening or closing the door and it shuts off after a few minutes. Since this was the only light in my garage I was hoping it would come with a keypad with an independent light button or the light switch could be programmed to a separate button on the remote but no such luck. I ended up putting another light up to remedy this issue.
Also, the remote from the opener is really wide and larger than it needs to be. Furthermore the clip that comes with it is so small it can't fit around the thick visor in my or my wife's Nissans.
As for the installer, again he did a great job and even did some work to smooth the door out. However, he was a bit strange and asked if he could use the restroom which is understandable but did come across as a bit odd.
Other than that, a great experience and if you need a new opener but are on a tight budget, this is a solid bet.
