Dave came when scheduled and completed the job on time. The quality of the job was high. He cleaned up the site after each visit as if he were not even there. I will use him again for future projects

At first it seemed to be going good. Didn't get a chance to examine well because winter was here and we didn't use it. We also had an extension cord going thru the do so we didn't notice the mistakes there til we had the cord removed.
Pictures speak better so I will explain with the pictures. I called and text him. Only once did he as and said he would be down to check it out on the weekend but it rained so I waited til the next eekend and he didn't show up so I texted and called no returns.
Ok.guess I'll have to try to tell you with no pictures cuz I don't see a place to add pictures.
    1) very cheap screen for windows
    2) no hardware for the latch of the screen door to hook into
    3) inside of doorway not finished put only 3/4 piece door jam? On one side and none on the other two sides
    4) multiple gaps on inside top where bugs are coming thru which defeats the purpose of building a screen room for no bugs.
    5) areas where the nails did not hit the boards and plywood is pulling from the area and leaving gap.
6)inside of one side of wall at the peak of the roof has boards vertical and the other side does not.

My 100+ year old home has a rock-walled basement. At the top of the old stairs from the basement to the outside, long since covered over, a hole developed from old wood, crumbling mortar, and deteriorating insulation. A racoon made its way inside last winter and the basement was freezing. I usually tackle my own repairs and had an idea of what needed to be done, but this area was hard to get to, so I started calling for estimates. A couple other businesses came out and wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for all sorts of work-arounds that didn't guarantee the hole would actually be closed. Dave was the only one I talked to who had the same vision I did. And his price was amazingly reasonable. He basically wasn't afraid to get into the tight space to clean out the old materials, then stuff the hole with new insulation and nail up a new wood baffle. Problem solved. He was polite and professional. I will definitely call him again.

I remodel properties in five states. Last fall, I had the pleasure of working with Ralph. He is by far the most well-rounded, knowledgeable, genuine, hard-working professional I?ve ever encountered. If he wasn?t certain about his skill set on a particular issue (or knew someone who could do it more efficiently) he was quick to connect me with whomever I required.
He was direct about where his time would be best spent and helped me build a crew of people who were professional, ethical, and reasonable. Ralph?s rates are EXTREMELY reasonable for the variety and quality of work he provides. For the property in Naugatuck, he built a new roof for a condemned garage, a fence, installed hardware throughout the property, installed bathroom fixtures, and other odds & ends. He referred me to a paint crew for the exterior & interior of the property and a plumber for major work that needed to be done in the basement. He often went above and beyond to help me complete the reno?with his help, a five-week remodel took about two weeks (this was smack dab in the middle of Hurricane Sandy & even though I was on site for the remodel he checked the house and helped me secure it since I am from California and it was my first hurricane).
Anyone considering hiring him should not hesitate. He?s worth CONSIDERABLY more than his day rate (the price I listed). Ralph is highly skilled, direct, and the guy oozes integrity. He?s really good at what he does and is a good guy to boot.

He came right on time and had all of the part with him. It took a lot less time than I thought it would. However, I also learned that he did carpentry work and gave me a great price and ideas for built in shelves. I will definitely get in touch with him concerning this new project.

It went very well. They arrived at the time stated and did a thorough job. The new sub floor looks very nice .My husband was here when they did the work and said that they even fixed a squeak in the floor that they noticed while they were working, even though that wasn't part of the original work order, because they said they didn't feel it was right to leave it that way. I would definitely hire them again.

Very satisfied with this experience and Ralph's professionalism and expertise.
Ralph arrived on time and after showing him a number of items that needed to be done
around the home, he suggested which tasks he would be able to accomplish
in the given 8 hours.  He completed those and every job was done
meticulously and well.  Very impressed and I set up another appointment
with him within the next month to complete some of the other tasks that he couldn't get to on that day.  Will definitely use Ralph in the future as other tasks come up.

In Sight Design & Construction LLC
I originally bought 2 each four hour sessions of drywall/plaster Repair and 1 two hour session of professional plumbing. I then called In Sight Design & Construction LLC to set up an appointment. No one answered so I left a voice mail. Later that day a message came back from someone at the company asking me to call back to set up the appointment. It all went downhill from there. I left several messages and got no response. With more effort and some emails I finally received a call from the owner himself, apologizing for not calling and telling me that he was overwhelmed with the response form Angie's list clients. Long story short, I told him that it was not a national emergency but could we at least put me on the schedule for a time when he could fit me in. He said yes, we set a date, and no body showed up. I contacted them again, got more apologizes, and set a new date making sure he knew we could do it later than the agreed upon date and he said no problem. He called back later that same day  and said he would take me up on my offer, so we set another date. The new date arrived and I was waiting for the man/men to arrive at 8AM. The sub-contractor (not an actual In Sight employee) didn't arrive until after 10AM. He seemed to be a nice guy, but in a hurry. I took him up to the room with the worst need for repair, explained what I wanted done, and then left him to it. When he "finished" he told me that I could fix the rough, out of line spots by applying a thick wide bead of paintable caulk. It was clear that he wasn't planning on doing that. I then had him tighten the kitchen faucet. We then went over to the second house that needed work and he repaired the problems there. In both cases he used quick drying spackle/mud but he didn't sand or smooth anything when it dried. At that point he said he wanted to get on the road before rush hour traffic because he had to go all the way back to the Stamford area (I  think). He never got to to checking the rest of the first house for loose nails or tape in the sheet rock. The whole time he was there he always seemed to be in a hurry to get done and out. Of the 10 hours of time I purchased, I got only 5 and the work was nothing special. After that I tried to contact the contractor to set up a new date to finish the work, got an email that said that had to be done, but nothing has ever happened. It has now been 2-3 months of trying to get this work scheduled and done, and I m at a standstill. I even had Angie's list help desk contact the contractor, with no luck either. Finally, Angie's List offered to return whatever monies I did not get service for, and that is the end of my dealings with In Sight Design & Construction LLC. I know he was overwhelmed, but I was willing to work with him on a time frame, and even that didn't help. Don't ever use this company. He is the absolutely perfect example of the reasons we all look for a place like Angie's List to help.

My daughter in another state hired Mr. Rosebrock from seeing his reports on Angie's List. Mr. Rosebrock came out to look at the project, took pictures, and carried my new sink in from my car, which I appreciated. Before he could arrive to start the work, we had a snowstorm resulting in a power outage. Mr. Rosebrock called to set another time and showed up when he said he would. He got to work and I left him alone. Basically, he did what we asked him to, but I was surprised to find that he had not prepped the surfaces as I would expect a professional to do, not only not washing/sanding the wood surfaces, but specifically not smoothing down the metal radiator cover which has an orange-peel look. The ceiling had a crack and Mr. Rosebrock skimmed it over, but painted the ceiling without sanding/ smoothing that either. Edges are not crisp and adjacent fixtures are showing paint slop. He did, however, take down the towel rods before working, which is more than others have done in the past. In the course of reconnecting the ceiling light fixture, Mr. Rosebrock broke it and purchased another one, which may partially account for the extra $90 over his estimate, which undoubtedly includes the flexpipe water connections for the sink. The sink had to be fitted into a slightly irregular space and Mr. Rosebrock sanded the engineered stone edges to conform. After the installation, I noticed that the drain stopper was not reconnected properly and I couldn't work it. My daughter contacted him about it and several weeks later he appeared one day to fix it. He claimed that it was on a slant and got it to work, albeit awkwardly and it still takes a lot of effort on my part.
