    I have always had weak teeth. I take good care of them, but inevitably I always end up with cavities. I had never had a root canal before, but heard they were unpleasant, so I was a little nervous that I was getting a root canal on only my second visit with a new dentist. The procedure ended up going very well. The dentist and his assistants were great. They talk to you and keep you informed on what they are doing throughout the procedure and are very friendly. The dentist was very good; he worked quickly and was very precise (no painful pokes or discomfort). The office is very nice and clean, newer equipment and the chairs are comfortable. The front desk is friendly and very easy to work with.
    Since the root canal, I have been back for the follow-ups (capped tooth) and another cleaning. Overall, this a great dentist office with which I have no complaints.

    I had an excellent experience at Contemporary Dentistry. It was easy to make an appointment. I was able to be seen within a few weeks. The entire staff was helpful and friendly.     A few years back I was experiencing pain and discomfort in a back molar. Dr Green (my dentist at the Groton Dental Group) believed that it was due to a crack tooth and possible infection. She sent me to a specialist for a root canal. After the root canal Dr Green installed a crown. She also recommended that I put a crown on the tooth next to it because it, too, appeared to have a crack. I agreed to the procedure. She had an assistant who was just learning how to do crown installs do the work, which, I was okay with (I believe people have to start somewhere). But the young woman had a very difficult time fitting the crown and she ground it down and tried cramming it on, and ground it some more, and so forth and so on. Finally, after much effort, the crown was installed. It did not fit right from the start so they ground it down some more. Poor girl, and poor me, there was no one in the examine room to help or guide her. After I lived with the crowns for a while, I noticed that there was a big gap between the two and it was always catching food (essentiall, a cavity creator). During a routine cleaing, I brought the issue to the attention of my hygenist and she followed up with Dr Flanagan (another dentist in the practice). He looked at my x-rays and proclaimed that there was nothing wrong with the crowns and they were fine. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in their lack of integrity and their failure to guarantee the work they had done. I eventually went to a different dentist (one found on Angie's list) who confirmed that the crowns did not fit correctly and needed to be replaced.
    You know, I can accept that people mess up. I can accept that things happen. What I cannot accept is when people do not acknowledge their mistakes and ccorrect them - particularly professionals you trust with your health and welfare.

    I made the appointment and saw the dentist within a short period of time. The hygienist took x-rays, cleaned my teeth and the dentist reviewed the x-rays and examined my teeth and gums. There was no problem in billing my insurance company.

    I went back to my old dentist who said, that if he ever saw that one of his crowns did not seat correctly and cover the entire tooth, he would never let a patient out the door until it is done right, or done over. He is redoing the crown that Robson had done on my tooth, that did not fit correctly over the entire tooth.  Because the crown was never sealed over the tooth correctly, I'm out another $650 for a replacement crown. When my dentist took her crown off, he saw that the tooth was improperly built up to fit a crown properly.

    I like the office and I like the personalities of Robson, however, I would not have her do another crown again.  I don't want to hear from a doctor that she can't fix the problem that I saw so glaringly on the digital screen.  The gap where the tooth enamel was exposed should have been fixed prior to the patient leaving the office. She took no responsibility for the lack of craftsmanship or quality.  Now 7 years later, the tooth where exposed is causing problem$$$.
