    I believe I was very much overpriced for that.  It was a small tank that cost $250.  It took them about two hours' worth work to do.  I ended up paying $1700.  I was very much ripped off.  The price should be around $600-$700 after asking a lot of people around, but I was charged $1600-$1700.  I asked my realtor here and they said a sophisticated water tank shouldn't have cost more than $700-$800.  They seemed to do a decent job.  They did come out punctually.  I don't think they were professional with the price.  The plumber who came out, called the owner for Angie's List discount and that's when they knocked $100 off.  I was talking to a friend who is a contractor and other people, they said it was a clear incident of rip off.  It wasn't even a water heater, but a well water tank that they were replaced.  I feel I was completely ripped off or taken advantage of.

    The whole project and experience was awesome.  I knew what was going on every step of the way and felt really comfortable with them in and around my home.  
    I hadn't hired a contractor before and had nightmarish expectations.  Some friends of mine had a terrible experience with their contractor about a year ago.
    But the fact the owners of Grade A and some of their crew are military veterans put me at ease and made me give them a chance, and it turned out just perfect.  The whole crew was respectful, timely, and not at all shady (like I feared).  I recommend them to everyone who comes to my house, because all I get are compliments on how it looks.  
    The difference in the home from before is more than night and day.  It's a huge transformation and I'm so grateful they were able to help me do this project, even working with the bank and town inspectors for me.
    I wouldn't go anywhere else for any home improvement or remodeling needs ever again.  I'm sending them to my parent's house next, and then on to some friends' old Victorian home from the early 1800's.

    I bought this special, and the plumber came promptly and inspected my home plumbing and answered some questions.  He was able to identify a specific problem as originating in the kitchen faucet and not in the pipes, and encouraged me to ask the company for a new faucet.  That worked out well.  He was informative and helpful although did not perform any actual work.  |I ended up hiring a plumber who lives closer to do routine work.

    I was just disappointed in the young man's lack of caring about my flower gardens that he didn't have to trample when he was trying to find the opening.  And since they had to make a return visit, it was just left at " we'll return sometime to tomorrow" since they needed two men and a full tank to get ours moving.

    The office answered the call immediately.  The person who answered said that she would contact the plumber right away.  She did and I got a call from the plumber shortly saying he'd be at my home within the hour.  He was.  When the plumber and an apprentice arrived, I showed them the problem and the plumber explained the cost and the process they would try first--manually snaking the pipe.  It worked and they were done very promptly.  They had a seat at my kitchen table while I wrote a check for them. Both men were very pleasant and polite.  I will use them in the future myself and will recommend them to my neighbors.

    Our well pump was getting old and tired and needed to be replaced. I saw Walt Cihocki working at our neighbors so I went to talk to him about the job which included bringing the well cap above ground level. (Our well cap flange was buried 4 feet down). Walt gave me a price and set a date to dig up the old well cap, extend the well casing above grade, install a new pump 50 feet lower into the well, and replace the wiring where necessary. He came on time, and completed the job in about five hours. He even seeded the area and covered it with hay. There was no change in the original quote and he didn't ask for any money up front. We have used Walt's services a few times before and have never been disappointed.

    I cannot say enough great things about Neil Jones Home Improvement. These folds were on the ball and extremely responsive to our needs. They came and gave an estimate that was more than fair.. I did get 4 estimates and theirs was the lowest and included the most for the money. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves daily. They were extremely professional and knowledgable. Made great recommendations and arranged for all the materials and inspections. They only required a thousand dollars as a down payment with the contract and did not ask for another cent until the job was 90% done. In fact the job is now done and they have not even yet asked for their final payment. They are trustworthy, use only the best materials and treated me like family. I have worked with many contractors over the years and never had one as good as these folds, They also have great follow-up. Had a couple of questions t, they came to my house to show me the answers.
    Linda is awesome to deal with and coordinates the work, Steve is a master carpenter as is Neil. the crew are professional and experienced. They worked from dawn to dusk and even on some weekends. This was an extensive job which required demolition and construction, electricity, plumbing, heat, siding, framing, sheetrock, molding, windows, doors, roofing, fixtures and shutters. They do it all. Don't waste your time with anyone else. They are awesome.

    Our home is on a slab so unfortunately on a sunday night when there was a drain malfunction at 10pm as I was doing laundry, it affected our laundry room, kitchen sink, and dishwasher so my household was in chaos. Gross stinky stuff started backing up out of our utility sink all over the laundry and kitchen floor.

    I shut off the water to prevent further mayhem, then called roto rooter in the morning. i had to take my little daughter to an end-of-year outing for school, so i asked them to come after noon. The scheduler said someone would be at my home between 1-3pm. WHY bother telling me that?!

    I pulled my kid out of the fun picnic we were enjoying so we could go home and  sit and wait for the plumber who didn't arrive til after 6. He was nice, he did the job quick and it seems to have been a good job.

    It just strikes me that an enormous company, can't they do a little better job predicting when the serviceman will be able to show up?  I'm not expecting down to the minute timing, but at least show up within 4 hours of the window that the customer was given? This ruined my and my kids' whole day.

    I noticed water leaking from the kitchen ceiling, causing plaster to fall and a hole to form. It is right under the bathroom so I assumed it was a plumbing problem and called Walter Cihocki because he is local to me. He came over in a few hours, and determined that the toilet was apparently poorly assembled since before we moved here. He and his son took it apart and reassembled it, using new seals. He also told me that the shower handle seemed old, loose and leaky so he recommended a new assembly. He said he'd order the part. It's a Moen faucet, so it's not like it's a rare brand to replace. At any rate, I was satisfied with the first visit. The ceiling leak stopped right after he fixed the toilet, but sure enough, a few days later when someone used the shower, the leak started again, and would taper off after a few hours, restarting everytime the shower was used. I didn't hear from him for about a week, so I called him, and he said he expected the parts to come in a few more days (10 days since the original visit). Once again, I didn't hear from Mr. Cihocki after another 5 days, so I attempted to get in touch again yesterday. For several hours in the morning, his phone number went to a garbled voice mail or answering machine that blurted "memory full." Around noon I talked to someone who stammered that they'd "try" to stop by in the "evening sometime." They did not. This morning I called the company again, and at first he was confused and didn't know who I was. Then he agreed to come and install the parts at a little after 9am. I have many other commitments, so the time sitting here waiting for him was wasted for me. By 10:45, I was concerned that they wouldn't show, and attempted to call their business number again. I got the "memory full" message again. It is now 11am and they just showed up. Walter Cihocki said, "Sorry, I had some, uh... problems last night." It shouldn't take over 2 weeks to get a shower handle fixed, and a plumbing business should have a working telephone number. In my opinion, this business has demonstrated an unprofessional attitude, and a remarkable lack of interest in customer service and satisfaction. I will not call Cihocki and Sons for a plumbing issue again.
