    Work was done ahead of schedule and everything was to code, done wonderfully, and all questions were answered in a timely manner. We love our new basement and use it daily. It not only added a bit of space to our living area, but also gave us a new way to entertain and find new comfort in our home. I would absolutely recommend Lux Renovations to anyone who is looking to renovate their basement without fear of problems or late work or unfriendly salesmen/workmen. We had an excellent experience.

    Our Boiler unit went out Sunday night. I called Trinks Brothers on Monday morning and was able to get an appointment that same afternoon. I set the appointment and asked if they could call me when they were on their way so I could meet the tech at the house which they did. The technician that came out was very professional and courteous. He asked me if they had spoken to me about their rates when I placed the service call which they didn't, and proceeded to tell me the rates and the an estimate of the total cost prior to him doing the work. Within 30 minutes they had the unit up and running again.

    am very pleased with everything from start to finish and would recommend them to anyone that may need service.

    They also have one of the cheapest oil prices around which we have been using them for several months.

    I have mixed feelings about them. I feel at times their service techs (expecially the young ones) are fantastically thorough, and some times I have gotten Techs who don't do as good of a job and tend to skip steps that they feel are not important.  My emergency calls however were answered timely and they always came and fixed the problem.  Their service contracts I find are extremely expensive and next time I will do a better job a shopping around.  I have been a customer for 10 years, and I feel each year I have to haggle and fight with them to get a  fixed rate which is only slightly higher then others when I call around for prices.  I feel that as such a loyal customer, I should automatically be offered a great price right off the bat. I recently used them to quote me a replacement boiler, and found them almost twice the price as everyone else and I was very disappointed.  Next time around I will shop around a little bit more before committing.

    I do have to call them and press them on getting a better deal then their initial offer, but in the end they come through.  The few times we have had to call for service, even after hours or weekends, they have come pretty fast and fixed the problem with no charge since we have a contract.  You can pay your bill online.

    It used to be reasonable, but it's crept up there and now it's high. Everybody else may be charging the same amount, but compared to the way it was 10 years ago it's a lot of money. They try to come out if it's an emergency even if it's in the middle of the night or if I lose heat. In fact I did lose heat once in the middle of the night and they came out within a few hours. On a couple of occasions I didn't get a feeling that some of their technicians were competent on what they were doing, especially when they call up on their phone while they are there in front of the unit. They started asking somebody else who's more senior the questions, but somebody's got to learn the ropes and I don't really fault them for that. They ended up getting the furnace fixed, but it just took them a longer period of time than they would have if they had a more senior person there. It's a learning curve for the new person, but it's still on the customer and maybe they should've had that new person shadow a more senior person for a longer period of time than what they probably did.

    My dad needed a new toilet, as his broke suddenly. Aiello was able to come out the same day, and quickly replaced it with one they happened to have on the truck. They charged him about $700, which seemed ok, given the quick response. Unfortunately, it was not installed correctly and has been leaking. He re-contacted them, as they warranty their work, and they have come out twice, but the leaking continues. All they ever do it tighten the bolts, while we believe they did not install a new wax ring, and that is what is needed. Now they tell him it's the actual toilet, and want him to spend another $800 to have them replace the one they put in that was never right. He is 87 years old and it seems clear that they feel that he is at their mercy. However, he now will probably go to another plumber, even though it will cost him as much to start over with someone else, but he'd rather do that than deal with Aiello any longer.
    Update: Aiello has now come out and replaced the apparently defective toilet with a new one, at no charge. The situation appears to be corrected, and my dad is satisfied with the outcome.
