Oliver Beer came promptly, analyzed the problem, gave us a price to do the work and a date that he would be able to start. We had purchased the replacement windows, as my husband was going to do the work himself. He had removed one window; discovered the framework supporting the old window was rotted beyond his capabilities to repair, and asked me to locate a professional to do the work. Mr. Beer started the replacement work by pulling out the old rotted wood; the old insulation- including moss that had grown up between the wall and the old aluminum siding that has been on this 1940's Cape probably since the 40's. It took him all of the first day just to clean up the window spaces so that he could actually start replacing the framing for the windows. It was a lot of work, and we are very appreciative of his remarkable effort to give us a gorgeous view of our back yard, that we had never had, and improve my bird -watching. Although we had purchased windows that were designed for 'new construction' Mr. Beer said he could make it work and he did. The result is perfectly framed windows that are 'new construction' perfect both inside and out. After each phase of the work, Mr. Beer cleaned up all wood and sawdust and bagged it. He had to leave his equipment in our garage and my husband wanted to be sure it was there safely. The slide bar lock on the garage door didn't lock properly, so my husband had to drill out the connection, Mr. Beer, at his own initiative, fixed the lock that hadn't worked properly in the 25 years we have lived in the house, and we now have a garage door, even though it is old, works properly. His attention to the smallest detail was a delight and was unexpected. To have found a contractor so dedicated to his craft is unheard of these days. We would, and will, hire him to do more work on this old house in the near future. His charge was reasonable for the enormous amount of work he had to do on what should have been a simple window replacement. We are very grateful to him for accepting this awful challenge. I just hope my review doesn't get him a flood of work that is as awful as this one. He deserves to have work that is simple and straight forward.

I wanted to remove a hearth and wood stove from my living room as I don't really use it. Upon starting the project it became clear that the previous owners way overbuilt the hearth and butchered our chimney. Oliver discovered that the boiler flue was compromised and fumes were entering the wood stove flue and living room. Instead of opting for a "quick fix", Oliver pointed out the situation and did everything in his power to fix it. The problem is now resolved and we have a beautifully painted living room with new moldings. Oliver also recommended that we swap our outlets out for childproof ones as we have little ones at home and changed out the baseboard radiator. The whole room has been transformed and we are happy that the TV is now mounted on the wall with no ugly wires showing. Oliver was fair about the unexpected work that needed to be done and all work was performed neatly and professionally. Oliver will not settle for anything less than a perfect result! He is available to answer questions any time and always responds promptly. Oliver also noticed a few other issues with the house and worked with us to resolve them while working on the primary project.

The guys from Eco did an excellent job.  They cleaned up after themselves, vacuumed & mopped floors and they went above and beyond and even helped me get rid of some additional items since they had a dumpster at my house for their project.

Our attic had old insulation that was no longer of much use. Much of it was falling from the rafters after a recent roof replacement, and what was under the floorboards was insufficient. The attic is currently unfinished, but I wanted to keep my options open for the future while getting some energy efficiency right now. In November of 2013, Kelly of Lady House Doctors responded within a day of my email inquiry to set up a time to see the attic. I had some ideas, and she gave her input and expertise, and we came up with an initial plan that involved removing the floor boards, insulating underneath, and replacing the floor boards, along with insulation in the rafters and walls. Her quote was reasonable and lower than others I received, and we scheduled times for her and her crew to do the work over a series of Saturdays in January so that I wouldn't have to take vacation time from work to hang out at home.

Kelly and her crew worked very hard and were very accommodating about our dog (he is a runner and is always trying to get out and they were very careful about making sure he didn't get out as they came and went). It became apparent pretty early on, though, that our plan would need to be changed, mainly because the floor boards, probably original from 1867, could not be removed intact enough to be replaced. Other issues popped up here and there as well, as tends to happen with home improvement projects. But Kelly informed me as things came up and gave me options and was flexible about re-working the plan and the increase in costs. There was some difficulty in scheduling as we moved into February, but LHD was able finish the job. In the end, it took longer than expected, but we have well-installed insulation and have already been able to turn down our thermostat to save money.

It went so smoothly working with them to finish my basement. They asked a lot of questions so that my basement was done the way I wanted. The results were beautiful, couldn't have asked for more!

They were very professional, polite, and extremely clean!!  They always explained what they were doing in stages as they went along.  They were here 2 days and always cleaned the work area after the day was done.

Our house has no A/C and while I had insulated some pipes and the water heater we wanted to install reflective insulation in the attic. We called Bill and he set a date to drop by and take a look at our house. He arrived on time with his colleague (Dean) and they took a look around the house - checked the attic, basement, windows, doors. He pointed out that we had some wet insulation and suggested that we replace that section.
He provided a detailed breakdown of the costs for the tasks we were interested (as opposed to a single price for everything) and set a date for the work to be done. That day he and Dean arrived on time and got to work - Bill changed the thermostats and showed us how they worked. Dean worked on the rest of the tasks - changing our the fibreglass insulation, instling the reflective insulation and wrapping the pipes.
Both of them were very professional, cleaned up as they went and overall did an excellent job. While winters' coming to an end, the temperatures were still low enough that we saw immediate benefits - better temperature control, with the upstairs remaining staying toasty.
Overall, it looks like a good investment (we're waiting to see the effect in the summer as we hope that the upstairs will be cooler by a few degrees) and it was a pleasure to work with Bill and Dean and I'd certainly use their services in the future

Incredible amount of work performed by master artisans. I was astonished and gratified at their skill, professionalism: before they left every day, they cleaned and left my house spotless even as work was in progress. They worked swiftly and with highest degree of skill. They made an unpleasant experience worth the doing until it was done to their satisfaction AND my own. I wish I'd known of the Garcia's company for previous projects; I certainly will use them for just about everything else that will need to be done to maintain my home.

They did a fantastic job with both the work and the cleanup. Their service was awesome. Ron is one of the owners, and he was the liaison for everything. He was very professional, very punctual, and very caring. He was everything that a business owner should be. His workers were very respectful. Usually, I get a group of contractors together and they start yelling or swearing or whatever. These guys were just awesome. The whole episode was a class act. Their price was a little higher in comparison to other quotes, but we wanted to pay for the quality service and quality job.

He arrived on time, the job was completed in the time frame that he gave. The job site was left clean at the end of each work day.
