We have a seventy-three year old Knabe console which has been in our family for sixty years. We have had it tuned throughout the years, but this past week was the first time Ben serviced our piano. He did a complete evaluation of the piano and provided us with a list of options to consider, given the piano's age and value. Among the repairs we chose was the re-pinning of ten hammer flanges in the center of the piano. Given those repairs, and Ben's careful tuning, we now enjoy quality sound and keys that no longer stick!

We were very impressed with Ben's knowledge, the quality of his work, his professionalism and his sincerity; he really cares! It is without hesitation that we recommend The Connecticut Piano Company to anyone looking for quality service at a reasonable price. We guarantee Ben Rocke will not disappoint!

Did not use his services, and it is somewhat annoying to continue to recieve emails from Angie's list to rate him. There needs to be somewhere where you can check off a box indicating you did not use the services because you did not proceed with the work.

I had a problem with the dishwasher, and I had to return it, and buy another one. It was kind of long and extended. In addition, they handed me to different managers on different shifts. The first manager I talked said that she would do something but she did not do it. The next time I called her, she never called me back. I ended up talking to somebody else. I was able to get the replacement dishwasher last September, and I had purchased the original dishwasher prior August. I bought the replacement at an outlet. The local service guy came out and he ordered some parts. He thought that they might help with the leaking, and he ordered some parts but it did not correct the situation. Then I sent some people out to disconnect it or to halt it away, and they were not certified to disconnect it so they could not take it away. It was a real comedy of errors. Major bureaucracy going on. I have never dealt with them before. If I had, it would be decades ago. I do not think that I would deal with them again. I did buy a washer and dryer at the same outlet and had no problem with that. The measure of a company is how well they deal with problems and not what they do, because they are not called upon to do anything if everything works out. I would probably not use them again in the future. I will say too that their subcontractors were much more conscientious than the staff and the management. The outlet center was responsive but the management was not. The staff were handicapped by the management.

First the prices can't be beat.  Selection is (I would say) a B.  Not everything, but if it's not in the store, there's something online and they'll send it to the store.  Their contractors are for the most part excellent.  Very accommodating, professional and knowledgable.

We love Lowes and to compare it to Home Depot is ridiculous.  Home Depot is a good store if you know their stock and can find what you want amongst the miles of sloppy shelves and sometimes crazy crowded aisles.  Lowes is clean, neat and well stocked.  We go to the Buckland store and they have a greeter, which I don't really care about one way or the other, but its a positive (unless you need a help in an aisle and then it seems like wasted personnel).  When you pass an employee, they're all about the big greeting and asking, can I help you with anything?  did you find what you want?  how are you today?

Like all other warehouse stores, sometimes there are not enough staff on the floor and the doors dept is crazy that way, at times you have to wait a half hour to get someone to help you - not because they're lazy but because they're always busy.  They need more help in some of the depts.

We bought a storm door to install ourselves.  It turned out to be a bit of a junky door (granted it didn't cost much) but the installation of it was difficult because the instructions were not at all helpful.  So we returned it.  No questions asked.

Bottomline, we really like Lowes.  They're our "go to" store.

ADVICE:  Do your homework.  There are good people working there but not all of them are experts.  YOu need to know a little.  So don't go there expecting to be educated.  You may be lucky that day, but you may not be.  You may get someone who knows less than you do.  So like I said, go there with some knowledge of what you're buying.  And today, with online reviews and research, it's really not that difficult to know a little.

The sales people are personable, efficient and professional. The furniture is of excellent quality. The delivery is prompt and the prices are reasonable. I have brought several pieces of furniture from Raymour & Flanigan and I have been very pleased with service, price and quality. Our recent sales man, Mr. Oechsler was very professional and courteous in every way!!!!!
