ARockland Fence, LLCI wanted the front of the house to have a nice vinyl fence instead of chicken wire as the previous owner had installed. They quoted me the BEST price of the 5 fence companies I hired. They used a good quality, USA made vinyl fence and door. I was very happy with their work ethic, price, and ability to quickly install the fence from the time of our first meeting.- Christopher G.

AMorales Design & Construction LLCVery well. We had Morales company install a 6 ft white privacy fence on east side of the house to enclose pool. He returned to install matching fence on west side. Due to summer work. And rain we waited over a month for installation. They took extra special care to have it match neighbors fence, to be level and look great.- David M.

ADurham Fence CoThe fence looks great in our yard. The crew was courteous and professional. It was a 2 day job, and on day 2 it rained the whole morning. Instead of packing up, and coming back they sat out the rain and finished the job. Wiped down the fence before they left. I got 8 more feet of fence for $2,000.00 less than Luther fence.- Dan A.

AThis fall we completed a very large backyard remodeling project, including stone steps and retaining walls, patio, etc. The company doing the stonework provided us with a different company for the fence, pergola, and railing needed, and the initial quotes from that company were absurdly high. I proceeded to get quotes from almost a dozen fence companies, and Rockland fence not only had the most affordable quote (one that other companies would not even consider matching), but Matt quickly understood the scale of the work and had the best vision of how to complete it. The project itself spanned 5 months, and required coordination with the stone company, landscapers, electrician, and carpenter. In the entire execution, Rockland was extremely accommodating to the narrow windows required to complete the work, and seamlessly coordinated with the other contractors. The execution was stellar, with a strong attention to detail and much care given to not disturb the stone or landscaping work in progress. In addition, Matt was always available to discuss next steps and answer any questions related to scheduling concerns or material delays (due to COVID). In short, they treated me the way you hope to be treated as a customer, and I could not be more pleased with the final results.

ABeautifully done. This job required complete reno of 1972 bathroom down to the studs. New ceiling, walls, and flooring, fanlight with duct work to roof, sealing existing leaks on roof, upgrading electrical, replacing and repositioning plumbing as needed, installing tub/shower, vanity and top, medicine cabinet, lights, door, trim, and all hardware. Dave replaced the existing window with a larger one, and new trim inside and out. And he did this all himself. I can't say enough good things. I think his pricing is fair, his quotes and his work are meticulous. He's also such a nice guy to work with and talk to. He worked on consecutive days, and cleaned up afterwards.

AJose Morales was thoroughly professional with great attention to detail and informed suggestions on alternative methods of tying the railing into the house and the concrete porch. Jose was prompt in responding to phone calls and emails and prepared a detailed proposal based on photos and measurements we sent him. Showed up on time, job came in exactly on budget, and workmanship was impeccable. Neighbors have been as impressed with the railing system as we were.

FI wish I could review this company's work, but it didn't happen. This is a report of deplorable customer service. The company was quick to send an arborist to give an estimate on August 22nd. He quoted a price that I agreed with and told me they were running six to eight weeks behind. He said he'd call late September to let me know when they'd be there to do the work. Fast forward 7 1/2 weeks and I called the company to see where I was in the queue. There was no return call. I called again the following week on a Monday, giving the same message, inquiring where I was on the list. Again, no return call from the arborist. That Friday, I called and asked for the arborist's supervisor, making my displeasure known and requested that he call me. Once again, there was no return call. Can it possibly be company policy to ignore customers who are willing to give them over one thousand dollars worth of business? Seven days after, I called the company again. At two days short of the ten week mark I fired them.

We are a design build company from renovations , additions and complete home building. Our enthusiasm for what we do as well as our in depth experience in the industry keeps this business on the leading edge .I am the owner Darren Gioello and have been in the trade for 30 years we look forward to talk with you about your project.

FEVERY WORD IN THIS REVIEW IS 100% TRUE AND DOCUMENTED. DARREN GIOELLO REFUSED TO HONOR THE WRITTEN CONTRACT PRICE AND REFUSED TO COMPLETE THE CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS. We hired Darren Gioello of Cutting Edge Carpentry to do a major renovation of a home in Old Lyme, CT. One example of not honoring the written contract price was a request (E-mail) for an addional 25 thousand dollars. There was no change order associated with it and the only reason was "so that I can push this project to the next level". He had collected so much money with the job nowhere near finished that, in our opinion, we had no viable alternative but to agree to pay. We requested an accounting of money spent. His accounting clearly documented the fact that he would not honor the original contract price. Although a certificate of occupancy was obtained for the project, many items in the detailed contract were never completed, but were paid for, including crown, baseboard, insulation in basement ceiling, leveling downstairs half bath and laundry floor (he signed a document that it would be levelled) and outside trim. The railing over the stairs was made from scrap lumber and tied to the wall with a finish nail, which popped out. He wrote that the railing was not in the original scope of work (it was because a getting a certificate of occupancy was part of the contract), but that he would tie it into the wall. He never even did that. We filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (our Consumer Protection complaint was NOT his first). He responded to both that everything was closed
