  • This company did a great job with my home inspection in 2011; however, I wouldn't recommend them for a roof inspection (they call it a component inspection). I called Tiger after a hail storm in July 2012 and asked if they did roof inspections. The woman on the phone said they did and setup a time. The inspector came out on time and inspected the roof with binoculars and atop of a ladder. He told me that the roof was fine and that most of my neighbors who were having roof work done after the storm were being taken advantage of by the roofing companies that had come by earlier. I noticed within a few weeks that parts of the roof seamed to stay wet longer after a heavy rain. I called my insurance company and they set up an independent roofing contractor to assess the roof. While the independent roofing contractor was on the roof, he rolled his hand over a part of it and around a handful worth of granules rained down off of the roof—there was significant damage from the hail (~7-10 years off of the life of the roof). The independent roofing contractor told me that if the damage had been there earlier than the hail storm (over the current life of the roof), most of those granules would have blown off. Tiger should only take on jobs that they are qualified to do...

  • Jerry showed up on time. He was friendly and polite. During the inspection he was very thorough in all areas of the home. He invited me to walk around with him and shared his comments with me as he inspected my new home. He also gave advise about items he would not address in his report. He took pictures of the areas he felt needed improving. He brought a ladder with him to use inside and outside the home. After he was completed he answered all the questions I had. His report was thorough and was ready by 10 am the next day. It also included the pictures he took. I would definitely use The Home Team again and would recommend them to my friends.

  • After my first experience with a home inspection nine years ago, I really didn't see the point. I felt that many items were glossed over and it wasn't worth the cost. This time around, my wife and I were considering a property owned by a relocation company who had conducted their own inspection. The home had been vacant for eight months, so we decided to have our own inspection done for piece of mind with regards to the vacancy. I am so pleased that we went with Tiger. We were on vacation when our offer was accepted. It left us with only 2 days to conduct the inspection—Tiger setup it up for after the day we returned. The inspector was amazing—he thoroughly went through the house and took the time explaining what he was doing, the problems, the potential/future problems, and the solutions (electrical, plumbing, structure, land grade, termites/carpenter ants, +). In total, he spent 2 hours in the 2300 sq ft. home and identified a number of issues that needed to be addressed with estimates on when it would need to be done (immediate, a year, 5 years). It was definitely worth the money, and I will use Tiger in the future.

    Thank you very, very much!
