Pool And Spa Cleaning reviews in Greenwich

Stephen is fantastic. Had him come all the way up from NJ to Westchester. This is the second time i've used him. He is beyond thorough. Saved me from a massive headache from an incompetent home-seller who had know clue what went into building a pool.

    Pristine Pools of Greenwich
Jay offered us a good price and performed the work in decent amount of time in the fall of 2014. At time of the deal he said he could install a control device that would talk to our WiFi network so would be able to access control panel via iPad or iPhone application (was extra $3k or so). Well he apparently got the wireless device connected to control panel but could never get it to work. As summer went on in 2015 he became increasingly less responsive. Then 2-3 weeks later after several emails, texts and phone calls would show up 8 o'clock at night saying he was prepared to work through the night and then would come up with another excuse about a part on back order and would be back following day. See above lather rinse repeat - another 3 weeks. etc etc. After season was over he claimed to have installed a new wireless controller and needed $2k more to cover cost claiming it actually cost him $5k. He left the controller with us over winter and closed the pool. In spring I signed his contract and explained I needed everything 100% up and running and once that happens will give him payment on spot. He said he would open week of May 9th. After repeated calls and emails he sends me long email saying once he is done we are going to have the best pool in town etc. That was June 4th. I moved on and told him not to contact me anymore.

    Rick Pinto Swimming Pools
I have used Rick Pinto Pools since 2007 and have no complaints.  It is one service that I don't need to think about at all. They arrive, perform their work and the pool is ready for swimming.  Everything is smooth sailing week in and week out.

I have had to replace the motor a few times (mechanical issue and not service related). Rick Pinto Pools responded quickly and got the pool back in working order in no time.

A few years ago, I resurfaced the pool and deck area.  Rick Pinto Pools completed the work on schedule and within budget.

Again, I couldn't be happier with their service. Best part is talking to Lenny.

    Strongman Services
Dominic Paolo runs his business in a professional and courteous manner.  He is very knowledgeable about maintaining a pool and any repairs that may be required.  His pricing is very competitive, and he is responsive to a client's needs.  We have been using his services for the past 2 years, and plan to use him again for the upcoming pool season.  We would highly recommend him to others.

    Pristine Pools of Greenwich
The work was done, and it was fine initially. Then they closed the pool for the season, drained it a bit and sealed it. At some point during the winter, one of the pipes burst because water was left in the pipes. Then the pool mechanical stuff was soaked in water. When I noticed what happened in the spring, I called them, and they came out to see what had happened. The pool cover was in bad shape, too, and torn off the hooks.

They told us they needed to do an acid wash,  since it was a green pond. They fixed the broken pipe, they set the pool to run the pool 24/7 and left. Since then I've been trying to get them to come back and replace the clips/fix the cover, and let me know what else we need to do.

I ended up calling a different pool company to get it fixed, they did some work, but it still leaks and since the filter had been running 24/7 it now had holes in it since it hadn't been cleaned first. Also our pool is pitted & rough now, and my daughter has been getting scrapes from it.

Now I'm going to have to pay I don't know how many thousand dollars more to get the work redone.

Pristine's work definitely isn't pristine! They keep promising to come out and fix it, but it never happens. I even saw his truck a block down from my house, but he never came. In my last email to him I outlined what was going on again, and told him I wanted him to resolve it/fix it. In our contract it even said whoever looses in court pays the other's legal fees. I sent him a certified letter on August 1 asking for a refund, and we told him we no longer trust his work so need the money to hire someone else to fix it, and gave him till August 15  to get back with us. It's now the 19th, and we still haven't heard from him.

    Glen Gate Company
They did a fantastic job.  The new pool and surrounding area looks fabulous as does the new drive and round about.  Though there was a small glitch, they remedied it immediately without a problem - a sign of a great company! I highly recommend them and I intend to use them again for other projects.

The job went on well. They are responsive and moderately priced. But earlier, I called them to fix the problems with the pool cover. All they did was to remove a piece of stone to fix it and demanded 250$ for that. I didn't pay and even got into an argument for that and never called them again. But right now the problem still exists and the pool cover got worse over the years. I later called them again to fix it and they have come over 4 times. The track issue is solved but the problem with the cover still exists. They are due to come today to identify the problem and to tell me how much it is going to cost to fix it.

    Water Works Pool & Spa
They are excellent. They have been fantastic. I would highly recommend them. They are very responsive. They come out quickly. It is kind of the same-day-service. They have extensive knowledge of pools and they do good work. I have been using them for a year.

    Swimm Pool and Patio
The owner, Mark, came out personally to inspect the pool and talk through the options with me.  In a clear & concise manner, he laid out a full spectrum of potential causes and possible solutions - but more importantly, he then made a well-reasoned recommendation about which specific remedial steps he would take if he were in our shoes.  It was an earnest discussion/recommendation and not a sales pitch like many of the other providers - and, in fact, Mark's suggestion was not to embark on the 'big ticket' repair that would likely have earned him a quick buck and instead do some interim fixes and monitor the problem closely over the next year or so to determine the best long-term fix.  My wife and I liked Mark's candor and no-nonsense approach so we hired him.
His team came out a week or so later and implemented the agreed fixes (epoxying, replastering) and then came again to check on it and help open the pool once it was filled.  The team was hard-working and courteous and their efforts worked - the pool opened successfully and retained water well for the remainder of the season.  We've engaged Swimm for subsequent pool maintenance and Mark will be at the top of our call list when we move ahead with the larger scale pool renovation in the future.
