    Feldman, Dr. Hal D.
My family and I have treated with many physicians in the Township of Huntington. Dr. Feldman is "exceptionally knowledgeable and talented" while maintaining a caring bedside manner. His outstanding reputation proceeds him. I have and will continue to refer friends, family and coworkers knowing I am providing them the opportunity to have exceptional care. Thank you Dr Feldman! Hospital for Special Surgery
Nursing staff and PA's were beyond excellent. Everyone was nice. The aids varied. Some aids were superior in work ethic and quality of care and some just ok - but none were bad. PT was good with exercises, walking and stairs, but I wasn't really ready to go home to get in and out of bed - PT didn't focus on that at all really and has been really problematical at home. The Education Seminar really didn't prepare enough for challenges of going home after surgery - so that the home could be prepared. As for after surgery it focused on exercises, socks, commodes, and reaching yes. Unfortunately Sleeping needs sitting and laying down needs not focused on enough, other than the purchase of a cushion and toilet seat. The idea of having the education seminar was great, just could help more with the 24 our issues of sleeping or sitting. Hospital was absolutely immaculate. One person was nicer than the next. Not a mean person among the hospital staff I encountered bed side. They did a great job with pain management, with the exception when nurses had to line up to get medicine disbursed, and when a nurse from another floor who was working my floor had to get permission from a superior who was not immediately available, to get meds - the meds were unnecessarily delayed and pain increased. Thee were many exceptional nurses, I'd like to give a shout out to Colleen and to Whitney who were beyond exceptional.

    Wayne Altman MD
If you go on Yelp, there are negative reviews, and it is not true, I have gone to this guy for years. I think people go in and whine a lot. It is not fair. There is nothing that I don't like about him. He took care of my kid when he was in football and broken in bits and pieces, and I needed to have a knee replacement. He doesn't have a good bedside manner, but he is a great doctor. Whenever I have wanted to see him, I have been able to see him within a week, or immediately for an emergency. The wait time is just 10 minutes of your appointed time.

    Haas, Dr. Steven B
He designed the titanium replacement knee that fused for me. He does minimal invasive surgery, so I have a scar that is maybe 1/3 of the size that someone with a similar procedure would have. I'm now about 10 months post-surgery and I play squash, swim 10,000 yards a week and do a spinning class twice a week. Not bad for someone who is almost 70 and just had a knee replacement! Dr. Haas is a personable guy and his staff is great as well.

    Torpey, Dr. Brian M.
Dr. Torpey was is terrific. After two years of suffering with extreme shoulder pain due to advanced arthritis, I visited three surgeons and finally decided on having Dr. Torpey perform the operation. The experience was unbelievable, the pain is all gone and ratined at least 90% of my range of motion. Will not hesitate to go back if and when my other shoulder gives me the same problem.

ACTIVE ORTHOPAEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE PA
It went very well. The doctor is very well versed in sports injuries and was able to identify my problem on the first visit with a just few movements. The great news was that I didn't need surgery (it was a sprained MCL), nor did I have to go to expensive PT. All it required was light exercise and wearing a brace until my knee regained it's strength.

ACTIVE ORTHOPAEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE PA
This is a very busy and professional medical practice that specializes in sports injury but treats a range of orthopedic problems. The staff is very efficient and thorough, and any issues that arise are taken care of. Questions to the doctor following the appointments are dealt with almost instantly, and their attention to the patients is very good. The medical staff are of the highest caliber and the care and treatment reflects this.

    Summit Medical Group
I've been using Summit Medical Group for over a year now. They have all different kinds of doctors in their practice -- anything you need, from physical therapy to an endocrinologist. There's very short wait times in the waiting area. You get in and out. They're very straightforward and have a very professional staff. The doctors are top-notch and very knowledgeable. They don't just try to get you in and get you out. There's no rush. They talk their time to talk to you and try to explain things. All the doctors I've talked have been great. Everything is great there.

    Hospital for Special Surgery
It was a great experience. The surgery was excellent. The specialists there are highly regarded; they know what they are doing, and know how to treat patients. The staff is just topnotch. Everyone is professional; they know what they are supposed to do, and they do it. In terms of the effectiveness of treatment, I am still under therapy, but it has been good so far and the billing has been good too.

    Peter Blank DO
His work is spectacular; he is very good. He is very well known. I know he is out of Morristown, I think he is also overlooked but I can't guarantee that. This I can because he has done work there. He is personable. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very patient. He is really good at what he does. He is really easy to speak with. He is incredibly thorough. I was waiting when he came out of the operation of my husband and my son with these folder full of 8 by 10 glossies. So I could actually see. When I went to him he took the x-rays and spoke with me. I was sitting right there while he dictated what he said to me. Everything is recorded; he keeps everything on computer. He explains it so that I know what just went on and what is going to go on or how it will be. He doesn't just assume that I won't know; he fixes me. From my son to my husband and my brother-in-law and my mother who was 96 at that time, he has worked on all of them. I would highly recommend him. He is busy since he is a specialist. He really is amazing.
