    TAZMANIAN TREE DEVIL LLC
This is the 3rd time that Ive used Taz for tree work on my property. They have always been professional and they take pride in their work. They treated my property as if it was there own. Cleanup was terrific!

    Erics Tree Service LLC
Eric was great to work with. He was prompt when returning my phone calls, came out right away to see what needed to be done, and showed up a day early to start the work. I couldn't be there the day they finished the job, but Eric sent me multiple pictures of the work before I paid him. They did a great job of not tearing up my front lawn, and even took down an extra large limb that was hanging over my electrical wires. He was also half of what another company wanted to charge me. I would gladly hire him again and could not be happier with the work.

    LOUIE'S TREE SVC LLC
Louies Tree Service LLC, Salem CT was hired to cut down several trees on our property. Louie made many promises. However, he does not deal with contracts, and without any written contractual obligation, he failed to deliver on a lot of his promises. Instead, he worked thinking that he was doing favors for us. He did not realize that much of what he did was factored into our original negotiated price and oral contract. Unfortunately, this caused tension and frustration for all parties. Louie was hired months before he finally decided to show up to cut down trees. We almost decided to go with another, more professional company after a few months, but when we informed Louie, he made such a huge deal over us giving our word, that we just resolved to wait. So, we waited and waited, and waited. Once he decided to show up, he confirmed an 8:00 a.m. arrival time, but showed up at 4:00 p.m. When Louie began to cut trees, it was amazing to watch! He and his worker Jose (hired 2 weeks ago) are very skilled at cutting trees. Jose is super strong (and funny)! However, Louie left our yard a complete mess. He left his empty cans, bottles, and food wrappers all over our yard. To add insult to injury, he even stuffed his trash in one of our logs. He left huge holes in our yard from the large falling branches and from driving his heavy machinery on the property, which we never gave permission for him to do. He said that he assumed that it was OK to tear up the yard because we did not have grass, and if we had grass he would not have driven on the yard. Also, he did not clean up after himself, but left unwanted wood-pieces and several large wood piles all over our yard for us to clean up, which was difficult, because the pieces he left were so large and heavy that we could not move them. In our original conversation, Louie promised to take the wood that we did not want. Unfortunately, no written contractno obligation. Even so, we respectfully requested for Louie to clean up the mess, move the unwanted wood to one manageable pile for us to deal with, and smooth out all of the large divots in our yard before he left. He became very annoyed and angry. We were surprised by Louies response because we showed nothing but kindness to him and Jose. We paid for their lunches, treated them to iced coffees and waters, gave them dinner to take home, and even took 3 days off from work to help do a job that we were paying to have done. In fact, Louie finished cutting 10 trees in record time, because our entire family worked to make it happen. We even got Louie a job at our neighbor's house, before he started working for us. Instead of being grateful, he took advantage of us. Unfortunately, we paid him before he could respond to our requests. He left our yard incomplete, and without permission, he proceeded to use our yard to house his equipment and to travel to and from our neighbors yard to work. To our disbelief, Louie was ripping up our yard even more with his machinery, going back and forth to our neighbor's yard. When he was confronted about the matter, once again, he became upset. Wanting to help our neighbors and Louie, we remained gracious towards him and, and allowed him to continue to use our yard, as long as he cleaned up and leveled out the yard when he was done. He did not even say "Thank you." Louies deception went to a whole new level, when he tried to mix in the neighbors metal-filled tree house logs with the pile of logs on our property that will be milled for hardwood floors. At the time, we did not realize that Louie was being dishonest. It was strange that he changed his mind three times about taking the wood for himself. Even so, we thought that he was trying to be nice and help us out. However, we noticed that he was behaving dangerously. We ran out of our home when we saw him drive his heavy CAT from the neighbor's yard loaded with a thousand-pound log, over our well. We immediately told him to cease from driving near our drinking well. Also, because of his recklessness, we told him that we did not want ANY wood from the neighbor's property. We just did not want him damaging our property. His response was to roll his eyes and say "I did not hit the well." Again, we were surprised by Louies behavior, because normally, he would not have driven so close to the well, especially carrying such a heavy weight that could easily slipped from the grasp of the CAT. On his final day of work, we realized why he took such a risk. We discovered the logs that Louie mixed in with our lumber were filled with metal and treehouse fragments. He knew that if we had seen the condition of the logs, we would not have allowed him to leave them on our property. In fact, we learned what type of wood to avoid from Louie, so we were very disappointed that he tried to deceive us in this way. Needless to say, after noticing the metal-filled wood with the tree house still attached, we ran to catch Louie, who was in his truck, about to leave for good. He became enraged and proceeded to curse us and scandalize our name. By the grace of God, Louie was awaiting payment from our neighbor, who owned the logs. I informed my neighbor about the problem. Thankfully, with the neighbors influence, we were able have the unwanted logs that did not belong to us removed from our property before Louie left with his final payment. We have learned a valuable lesson from this experience In the future, we will definitely withhold payment until all work is complete. Unfortunately, our yard still looks like a war zone. Even so, we are happy that Louies Tree Service LLC, Salem CT is gone. We do not anticipate using them again.

    Tomorrow's Trees LLC
From the driveway they used a cherry picker to cut & lower the branches, very professionally. Once down, the branches were cut into 18' pieces or chipped. Cleaned and swept the area before departing. Highly recommended.

    Tomorrow's Trees LLC
The job was performed well and clean up satisfactory. Rich was very punctual in scheduling an appointment for an estimate, however a confirmed appointment for the actual job took many phone calls on my end. While satisfied with the quality of work, as a customer I would prefer more initiative on the contractor's part.

    Sprigs & Twigs Inc
My review covers a bit more than just the 2015 spring/summer lawn mowing season.
I have gotten quotes from them for fall leaf clean-up, tree work, and lawn fertilization, and find their prices to be on the high side. With these higher prices, one would expect excellence in the quality of the work as well as the professionalism of the company. I found both to be a bit lacking. My biggest complaint with the lawn mowing service is that the weed whacking (trimming) quality was awful. The kid they had doing it would zip around the yard without care and attention and burn the edge grass, till by mid-season it was dead. As the weeks went on, there was nothing left for him to trim as the grass in all the edge areas was dead. We discussed it to him as well as called the company about it on a couple occasions through the season and finally, by the end of the season, he began to put some care into his work, but it was too late for our grass. We will need to replant all the edge areas this spring.

    SavATree - Old Saybrook
A four man Crew arrived at 8:00 a.m.  They had all correct equipment, bucket lift truck, and chipper.  The largest tree, a red oak measuring at least 90' literally touched the house.  The entire crown of the tree with huge limbs hung directly over the roof.  Each of the men knew exactly what to do.  They adroitly removed the limbs ensuring they dropped clear of the house, which they all did. they worked straight through until 5:00 p.m. insuring my property was cleaned of all debris left from tree cutting.  The crew were extremely courteous throughout the procedure. I was extremely satisfied.  I would highly recommend this company for all of your tree removal needs.

    TAZMANIAN TREE DEVIL LLC

Professional, friendly, knowledgeable are the best words that describe Ed, the owner/operator of the Tasmanian Tree Devil.  Two years ago I contacted Ed to get an estimate on removing a very large, three main branch oak that was hanging over my house.  I also needed a couple of other trees and some large branches removed.  Ed provided me with two estimates, one for the  main job, the "very large oak", and the other for the remainder of the work.  The primary job was going to cost a considerable amount.  Since it was on the boundary of the town and my property, Ed suggested that I contact the Town.  I followed Ed's suggestion, the Town came out to assess the situation and agreed it was the Town's responsibility to remove the tree.

Ed's suggestion saved me a lot of money...but lost him the job.  This impressed me very much.....none of the others that provided me with an estimate suggested this, and I doubt that anyone else would.

I still needed some trees and branches removed, so, without hesitation I contacted the Tasmanian Tree Devil, Ed, and told him that I had a job for him.  Within an hour he was at my house.  He remembered it from two years ago.  I told him that I was not getting any estimates, and that he had the job if he wanted it.  In less than a week he called me and told me he would be at my house at 0800 the next morning.  He was right on time.  Immediately he and his assistant started setting up the equipment and getting to working.  They both worked without stopping and in 2 1/2 hours the job was complete.  The large stumps were neatly stacked in an open area, the brush and smaller branches were feed to the chipper, and the whole area was cleaned.  The only signs that all that work was just completed was the neatly stacked firewood.

Needless to say I am very impressed with the services provided by the Tasmanian Tree Devil, and I intend to use their services again.

    Brouwer's Tree Service
Mr. Brouwer came to my home to give me an estimate for removing two trees from my property.  He said he would remove the two trees for $2,300.  We shook hands on the deal. I was told by him it would be two weeks before he could do the work.  After waiting for one month I called Mr Brouwer and left a message as to when he was going to do the job.  I never heard back.  After another week I again call and he never called back.  I called him a third time on his cell and again he never returned my call. He could have had the courtesy to return my calls and let me know he didn't want to do the jobs, but no he left me hanging.  I would not recommend him for tree removal.

    TAZMANIAN TREE DEVIL LLC
Edwin Adams and his staff are very professional and knows what they're doing.  My only regret was I forgot to ask Edwin if they could stack all the wood in one place before they started the job.  If a need arises, I would hire them again.
