  The words renovation and stress typically go hand in hand, the opposite was true in our case. David and his crew (especially Brian) were professional, courteous, and trustworthy (we gave David a key to our home). David worked in our home as if it was his own. His attention to detail was apparent in every area of the remodel. He even worked on Sundays to keep on track with our scheduled completion date. The finished rooms far surpassed our expectations. We are looking forward to working with him again in the near future.

  The quality of work was great as well as the responsiveness. Both bathrooms took about 10 days to complete for each bathroom. The price was reasonable and he and his crew were professional and easy to work with. Premo will be doing more renovation work in the future.

  Dave Tetlow was always punctual,professional, and overall great to work with. The quality of the work done on our home was top notch. Dave and his crew went above and beyond our expectations. For instance the insurance company quoted us to have roll on insulation to be put into the house. But Dave had blown in insulation put in, our house is now so well insulated we actually had to crack open a few windows during the winter because it was so warm. That's just one example of all of the extra things he did for us. I would recommend him to anyone.

  EASTERN CT FLOORING

  Started out fine. I went to the house to check progress of subfloor removal and found nearly every piece of wood trim (one of the main reasons we bought the house) was damaged in some way. There were also a few holes in the drywall and a split baseboard. When we first confronted the owner her response was that it must have been the painters that we hired to remove wallpaper and paint. The painters removed almost all of the baseboards and didn't even scratch the wallpaper they were preparing to remove. Only after threatening to fire her and sue for money already spent, the owner switched install crews. The subfloor also had high and low spots that we were concerned about. She said its not a problem. After consulting several other contractors, we demanded an assessment. She brought in her builder who initially was resistant to shim the floors. After much back and forth the floors were finally shimmed, up to 3/4 inches in a couple places. We still have a couple low spots that squeak horribly. She also convinced us to go with prefinished flooring. This was a huge mistake since our floors are a little uneven. It was a horrible experience that we never want to go through again. Our floors look great at first glance. Once you look closely you can see cracked boards, chipped finish, uneven cuts, and we had to hire someone else to fix all of the trim, which we had to split the cost of just to end the nightmare.

  Charles Peterson Wood Floors

  We've worked with many contractors in the past renovating our previous home, but we have never come across a contractor so professional and genuine. He is obviously an expert in his field, as he had an answer for all of our concerns. He listened to what we wanted as clients, and made appropriate suggestions based on that. Not once did we feel that he was trying to sell a service. Charles genuinely wanted us to be happy with our floors within our budget. 
  He also let us know realistically what we could accomplish and what we couldn't. The pet stains on the floors were extensive over a period of many years, but we weren't willing to completely replace the floors. He brought us in the direction where we could effectively hide any discoloration that remained without compromising our other needs.
  I can't say enough how wonderful it was to work with Charles. I wish we had more floor to restore just to have the opportunity to work with him again! Unfortunately, the floors turned out so well that I'm sure Charles will be retired well before we need another restoration.

  We originally made contact with Dave Tetlow when we were looking for a contractor to finish our basement. His estimate was very reasonable and we chose him to do the work. He did a great job and completed the job in a timely manner and on the budget. The quality of the work is excellent! He did such a good job on the basement that 6 months later we had him "facelift" the kitchen. He went out of his way to buy the exact same cabinets as the existing. Additionally, he installed a tile backsplash, beautiful hardwood floors and a Quartz countertop. It's beautiful. Again the work was finished in a timely manner and on budget. We get compliments all the time on how nice the basement and kitchen look. Currently, we are having Dave give the bathrooms a little updating. For this project, he'll be installing new Quartz countertops with new sinks and hardware. I'm confident the work will be completed in the same fashion as the 2 previous projects.

  Accent Kitchens and Baths LLC

  Total master bathroom remodeling project, including ripout of existing installation and new toilet, shower walls, shower glass door, vanity, mirror, granite counter, sink, bead board wainscoting, tile floor, plumbing fixtures and electrical installation.  Initial contact was in November, 2012.  Installation was scheduled for March 15, 2013 and was good, but office personnel often lacked responsiveness.  Poor follow-up to provide written estimate and to schedule installation.  Initially, Accent K&B wanted 60% down, however, we provided only $1,500 to hold install date, because we didn't want installation until spring.  Install date was pushed off by one month because of other conflicting work.  This is a family business and office personnel were generally friendly, but lacked professionalism and responsiveness.  We generally had to make numerous contacts to receive quotes and very seldom received timely response.  They had some material issues and had to change suppliers and material at the last minute.  Installation team was skilled with ripout, carpentry, tiling, plumbing and electrical.  They took care to understand our needs and details of the installation.  We are happy with the end product, however, we have one detail on the shower controller that still needs to be corrected.  Accent K&B are aware of this remaining item, but have not remedied to date.  We may use Accent K&B again, if they resolve the shower controller issue.
