Fence Company reviews in Farmington

    Atlas Outdoor
If I could post negative stars, I would. I deeply regret choosing Atlas fence for my $16,000 pool fence. The pool company, which was great to work with, recommended Atlas. That is the only reason we chose them. Unfortunately the pool company did not help us with our fence problems despite recommending Atlas. Atlas provided temporary fencing while the landscapers did their work, but when it came time to put up the real fence, they dropped off several bent and broken fence pieces. They did NOT replace them! They just deducted a few hundred dollars and made our fence shorter! The three male installers that they sent in July 2018 were total losers. We have a zip line, and they were using it without asking, like children. This one guy worked shirtless, and believe me, it wasn't a treat. He also had the "plumbers crack" showing, with the low shorts showing underwear, "gangsta" style. They smoked all the time, which might be okay except that they left at least 30 cigarette butts a day in my lawn for me to pick up. They repeatedly filled MY garbage can with the fence wrapping and my recycling bin, when you can't even send that stuff to the recycling plant. I asked them to take it out and the "gangsta" guy gave me attitude. My neighbors complained about the loud music they were blasting. When I called to complain, two managers at Atlas didn't even know the name of the guy who was working shirtless and giving me attitude. Really?!? You send someone you don't even know to work at my home, with me and my children here alone? Awesome. I suppose there are no background checks, especially when you don't even know the names of your installers. Then when they "finished," parts of the fence were literally 8 inches from the ground. Pool code is 2 inches. At least half the fence was too high and we failed inspection with the town. Atlas never came back and lowered the fence. They coerced our very kind landscaping company to come back and do a bunch of ground work to raise the yard, which is NOT the right approach. Imagine little hills around your property just to meet code, concealed by mulch, etc. If anyone gets in and drowns, guess who will be liable? ME. We are stuck with bent fence pieces, gates that don't self-close, and a terrible looking fence (like steps!) that was poorly installed by criminals. I'm sure they know who I am from this review, so I will let them know that I have cameras all over, so if your criminal installers try to seek retribution for me posting a truthful bad review to try to save other naive homeowners from this stress and waste of money, we will record you and press charges.

Started well, they came promptly after I contacted them and described what would've been a very nice project removing the tree installing a small retaining wall and putting up new fencing. The fencing and tree were necessary everything else would be improving aesthetics. We likely would have used them for all of these but it took a really long time for them to get back to us (2 months?) and I ended up calling someone else to do the tree. I had to dig up a number of small fruit trees and plants to allow access to the tree so by the time they got back to me I was not interested in digging up the plants again to put in the wall again so I was only interested in getting the fence we need. This project did not interest them so they told me to find someone else to do it because they had missed out on the apparently more lucrative work and would not give me an estimate on just the fence (which is what I had contacted them for in the first place). I am disappointed because I was patient and didn't get someone else to do the work sooner. Cannot recommend.

    Pleasant Valley Fencing
I called Joe at Pleasant Fencing on Thursday and he arrived at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning to look at the job. He was punctual, accommodated my request for an early weekend morning appointment. Using his laptop, he showed me fencing options, made a recommendation for what he thought would work the best after asking lots of questions about how we use of back yard. As promised, the estimate arrived via email on Monday morning. We received two other quotes, Joe's was the best although all three quotes were very close. We contacted two references (people in our neighborhood we did not know) and based on their recommendation we sent our deposit to Pleasant Valley Fencing and asked for installation as soon as the weather would permit. Exactly one month later, on 4/22 Joe called to scheduled the install on 4/24 (today). The crew arrived at 8:00 a.m., they were pleasant, professional, and did an amazing job. I just received a call from our neighbor (other side of fence) to thank us and compliment the contractor. The old fence and posts were removed, they cut stumps that were in the way, installed the fence, and cleaned up everything. I am beyond thrilled!!! Can't recommend this contractor highly enough. Oh, the email address for this contractor on this site is incorrect. The correct email is http://www.pleasantvalleyfence.net

They finished the job when they said they would and even painted a supporting  post for my gate, which was not included in the bid.

    EAGLE FENCE & GUARDRAIL
The overall experience was excellent. We were very pleased with them. My in-laws just used them as well and were similarly pleased.
