Excellent work.  Was refreshing to work with a contractor who did the simple things such as showing up when they said they would, completing work as specified, completing in a timely fashion and communicating all along.  AJ was great to work with and originally came out for drainage work and tying our sump pump discharge into buried PVC pipe to drain in the backyard away from the house.  We were also in process of running a gas line to the house and when asked if they'd be interested in excavating the trench, which was no small task at ~450 ft along driveway and several trees/stumps/rocks, AJ was more than willing to take on the job.  AJ coordinated with the gas company and dug the trench per their specifications and backfilled with sand all within a couple of days.
Once the gas line was installed, AJ and his team completed the drainage work which consisted of tying in sump pump discharge, three gutter downspouts and a yard drainage box to pick up excess surface water at a low spot near driveway.  The discharge was run approximately 100 ft to the rear of our yard and a pop up emitter was installed to keep all water away from the house.  All excavation was backfilled and top soil added and graded with seed and straw laid.  Grass seed began coming up within a week and has filled in nicely.
Throughout the process AJ kept in contact with what was going on and what they would be doing next.  The work was completed faster than we anticipated and the crew kept the site clean each day when they were done.  AJ went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the work and made sure the job was completed to satisfaction including following up with me to make sure we were happy after the job was complete and he had already been paid.  The crew was great, worked hard and put in a full work day and then some everyday.  The were several challenges with this job including a tight work space with many trees, roots and rocks.  The crew took great care to make minimal disturbance to surrounding trees, shrubs, etc.  We were very happy with AJ and crew and would happily use them in the future especially considering the reasonable price.  We even had the neighbors comment on the quality of the work done and how fast the work was completed.

We discovered water in our basement and traced it back to a damaged gutter and poor grading that was allowing water into the home. We found black mold in the basement in the area that the water had been and after having it taken out our basement was a mess with torn up carpet and missing dry wall. I wanted to fix the gutter firstso I contacted CTHandiman through an Angie's List deal on gutters. From then on everything went great. Within days we had picked out the gutters and gutter covers and they were installed within a week. Within another week we had started the basement project. They dug out the foundation and waterproofed it, drylocked and insulated the inside. They put up new drywall and installed tile in the area that the damaged rug had been. And a week later our project was done! We were amazed at how smoothly the whole project went and we intend on using them again for our contracting needs. The feel of the basement is great now, not damp or musty at all. We love our new basement! Thanks Izzy!

Mike was very professional and gave honest and helpful opinion on water problem in basement.  Our current french drain and sump pump was not keeping up with the spring snow melting and rain.  Mike examined what he could of our current system and gave advice on different options at different price points.  Company was quick to respond to our inquiry as well as punctual for appointment and getting us the quote quickly.  We will likely use them when we are able to afford the work to be done.

    Budget Dry Waterproofing Inc
It went great.  On the day that the basement was waterproofed the team arrived on time, they covered everything to be sure nothing got dust on it (to waterproof the basement they had to jackhammer the basement floor and install piping), and did a terrific job, even finishing a little earlier than estimated.  I was concerned because the space they had to work in was tight and near my oil tank, but I needn't have worried - they did a fantastic job.  The concrete had to dry for a while before the dehumidifier could be installed, so on Sept. 2th Mike came to install that.  That went well, too.  He found that he couldn't put the dehumidifier in the spot that was originally planned because the hose wasn't long enough, but the place where he put it is even better.  And he put the vent in a better place than originally planned, too.  The only thing that wasn't the greatest was that he was an hour late arriving, and didn't call to let me know, which is why I gave them a B on punctuality.  However, that is minor and I want to stress how tremendously HAPPY I am with the whole project.  I had used Budget Dry before to waterproof my Mom's basement, so I knew how good they were.  This job is another example of their excellence.  Anybody who needs basement waterproofing or dehumidifying, hire Budget Dry.  You will not be sorry.  They are really tremendous, and their prices are very reasonable, too.

    Charles Zuccaro Waterproofing & Masonry
Charles was thorough in his work was extremely detailed and very knowledgeable in the waterproofing and masonary business. I have worked with several contractors previously and got many water proofing contractors in prior to finalizing Charles. Charles was by far the most reasonable in price and the best in business. Charles also saw a couple of other leaks while doing the job, which he fixed for free without charging for it. All in all Charles is a great contractor and I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and family and I am also planning on doing more patio work for which I would call Charles to get the job done. Thanks !

The man located the tank (it was not marked) behind my house in minutes. He dug a hole to get to the cover and replaced the dirt afterwards, disturbing as little lawn as possible. The job was well done.

    A-1 Waterproofing
Chose this company over 2 additional companies because the owner, Rocco was easy to talk to,and he provided information regarding the guarantee of his work. Price wise A-1 and one other were comparable; the other was $5000 over the others. A-1 installed the system and sump pumps (one additional at my request) August 13 and August 14; the workers were pleasant and professional, however, I had already removed everything from the room so they could begin immediately. They only had to move the washer and dryer in the laundry room. After my urging, the crew supervisor returned 8/15 to move the washer and dryer back as "his favor?? On 8/16 the crew supervisor called me again to say "Oh, I forgot to tell you, you have to plug in the sump pumps in the crawl space -- you might need extension cords". I am a widow and I felt misled this was not included in the price I paid. Called and left a message for Rocco, the owner. To my disappointment, I never heard from anyone at A-1 again.
