The technician (Sean) went out of his way to look for a part that would minimize the cost of the repair and avoid expensive painting charges. The repair was completed quickly, and we were kept informed about the progress and outlook on getting the repair completed. We had a wonderful experience with this body shop, and would highly recommend this company.

We brought a used car that we had just purchased for VIN verification so that we can register it with the DMV. The previous owner did the emissions testing 2 months ago, so we did not need it to be done. Despite telling the person at the counter that we didn't need the emissions test, they went ahead and tested it anyway. An honest mistake, but when we learned of this after the test was done, and reminded them that we didn't ask for this, we were told and quot;well, you're going to need it anyway because the DMV will just send you right back hereand quot;. Whether or not this is true - it is not their call to make. We did not ask for that service. We paid for the service and left, but I was disappointed with how they handled the situation.

I had been having problems with my Vovlo for a few months. Took it to somewhere and it couldn't be fixed. Then I took it to Mitchell's Auto Group. Brian found the problem right away and gave me a reasonable quote. I told him I needed to leave in a hour to pick up my daughter and he fixed it within an hour! The waiting area is cozy. THe staff is courteous. I'm very happy.

Without an appointment, they started their work on my car within 15 minutes. I have used this shop on multiple occasions and they are usually quite accurate on how long it will take to get to you car. After looking at the car for about 15 minutes, they found a hole where the coolant was leaking out. They estimated the repair would be about $300-$400. When I told them that I would be trading the car in soon they were honest and said I should not bother doing the work. These guys have also changed my oil, tires and done other minor repairs in the past. They are easy to deal with and explain there work in laymens terms

I love them! They're great. They're professional. If the job takes longer than an hour or so they give me a loaner car for free. I don't know if this is typical but I usually get a car and then when my car is ready they call me and I go and pick my car and return the loaner. They're a little expensive but I like working with them.

We have used them for many years now.  The prices are very competitive.  The prices are fair.  The owner is knowledgeable.  He never recommends or forces work that I don’t need.  He is absolutely the best when it comes to trust worthiness. ?

Since the above service (most recent one) was just for an oil change, what is written below is an overview of my experience with Bill's Automotive for the past 12 or 13 years that I have been using them.
I have used Bill's Automotive to service all my cars for at least 12 years. They are always courteous, honest and trustworthy. They stand behind their work.
My nephew is a mechanic  in another city. On at least 3 occasions I have had him call and talk to Mike (owner), Joe or Ross about some pretty big jobs that they indicated my car(s) needed. Every time my nephew called, they were happy to talk to him and they explained everything in detail. My nephew would then call me and give me the go ahead, saying they were right on target with what needed to be done and the cost was appropriate.
A couple of times they sent me elsewhere, suggesting that the other place could do a better job (body work). They have also found much less expensive parts  for me by shopping around.
As a woman who does not know much about cars, I am always confident that they are being truthful and helpful with all matters pertaining to my car(s).Mike Turner (owner), Joe and Ross are all wonderful. Ben DeJohn, at the Portland location, is outstanding as well - he worked for years in the Hartford location.  The mechanics are terrific also. I have total confidence in this business.
    I highly recommend Bill's Automotive.

I worked with the service manager Mike and had the car towed to the shop. Mike, called me right away after he looked at the car and explained me what all needs to be fixed and also showed me everything that needed fixing. The guys were top of it and got all the work done in timely and very professional manner. I love the service and the car drives like brand new. nowhere during the entire process, i felt haggled or like i was being pressured into anything which is a good sign of a service shop. I will continue to do business with these guys for long time to come.

As I stated earlier he is outstanding as a mechanic.  He does good work his prices are fair and he is prompt
and to the point.  I've been going to him for over 25 years and he is the best mechanic in the area by far.
I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good mechanic.  He is a grade A all around
