    I hired Emer and Son last year to refinish my hardwood floors and they did an excellent job! We just purchased the house and they were able to get the work done quickly so we could move in. It was such a good experience we ended up hiring Emer to do exterior trim and siding repairs this spring which is going great! They are very responsive and are able to handle seemingly any home repair! We will continue to use Emer on our house projects.

    Alex was terrific. He responded and was at my house within 48 hour of purchasing this deal. He did a wonderful job. Very pleased with how the tile and grout look.   very happy he was able to get all the stains out my rugs as well.   I will definitely use his services again.

    Heaven's Best Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning
    After years of using Stanley Steamer to clean our carpeted floors twice a year I finally see what clean really looks like with Heaven's Best. Instead of coming in and making a lot of noise and leaving me with wet, semi-clean carpets, the carpets now look just about like-new. We could not be happier with the results, or with Kevin himself. He communicated when we had to change the schedule and showed up right on time. He worked really hard for about 2 hours, removed some spots I thought were permanently stained and that we would have to look at forever and then picked up and cleaned up after himself, leaving the two areas he serviced far, far nicer than when he arrived. I honestly felt bad paying him the small amount he asked for, which along with the rest of the experience dealing with him, was exactly what he estimated before arriving at my home.

    I made an appointment with the owner's wife.  She was very nice.  I had a work meeting come up that I could not avoid, and called with 24 hours' notice to move.  No call back, so I followed up later that day calling the owner's cell.  He was quite flustered and made it clear that I was causing an inconvenience.  I said I was completely flexible on the date, understanding I'd caused the reschedule.  He was hesitant to schedule anything without other appointments in my area (he is 7 miles from my house).  At that, I finally said, "do you want to call me when you plan to be in the area again?".  He said "I can't be chasing customers down."  Okay, I was trying to make it easier on you??  Finally he committed to a date for a 9:30 appointment.  I waited, 10:30 came, and I called the office phone.  The woman said he woke up not feeling well, and she was out taking the kids to school, so no call was made because she was out (she manages the phones).  I would expect you'd take ownership of that, and make sure the client was called vs. being a no show.  I said I understood, and she made another appointment for two days later.  Great.  He was early for the appointment.  We went through the house and I showed him different areas that I'd be interested to clean.  The whole time, I felt I was putting him out.  None of the things I asked him about where mentioned in the deal fine print, but there were reasons he couldn't do (i.e. areas in different parts of the house, area rugs, etc.).  He then said "I have other appointments to go to - I can't be here all day".  This was at 11:01am, 1 minute after the time we were originally "scheduled".  What put me over was he tallied up fuel charge and tax, while the deal said service area 25 miles.  Tax, fine, but that wasn't mentioned either.  When I questioned the false advertising, he said I should be happy I'm getting $300 of service for $69 and there are operational costs to his business.  Look, I am very reasonable in sticking to rules - if they are disclosed - but you can't ask a customer to pay fees or follow guidelines that aren't communicated after they've bought the package.   I asked him to leave.  He was quite upset, telling me that I have no idea what his day looks like, that he had a guy bait and switch him, etc. etc.  Unprofessional all-around.  I said I'm sorry, but I'm not satisfied and he needs to improve his bedside manner.  I have never asked someone to leave my house without doing the work we scheduled!  Wow.

    * There are a few inaccuracies in Enviroclean's response. 

    1 - The excerpt provided is not the deal I purchased. I have it in print and the terms are as I stated above.  I'm happy to email a copy to Mike. 

    2 - Of course he didn't charge a cancellation fee, because I provided 24 hours' notice.  Perhaps he doesn't recall the conversation, but I called the morning before and no one returned that call, so I called again in the afternoon.  He can check the office voicemail for the timestamp, or I can certainly show him my call record.  Ironically, I was pretty courteous to follow up a second time when I received no response.

    3- "The areas you mentioned to my wife were nothing discussed during the walk threw (sic) of your home".  When Mike arrived, his list said: "basement", "baby's room", and "master bedroom".  I showed him the basement and baby's room and asked for his professional opinion on what to attack. I did not go to the Master bedroom, and asked him about area rugs instead. Had Mike communicated professionally that area rugs are not covered, I would have had no problem.  Comments like "rugs like that are just thrown out" aren't appreciated.  He misses the bigger picture that his communication skills need to improve if he?s going to be in customer service.  People have no interest in being treated so disrespectfully. 

    4 - Never did I request Mike to move furniture.  The basement was clear, and the baby's room was not.  When we were there I asked "how do you clean when there's furniture?"  The intent of the question was, do you go under the crib, do you slide things around, etc.?  All that was needed was a simple response in a respectful tone.  I got a lengthy answer that was anything but.  "Furniture moving you wanted me to perform" is a bit of a stretch.

    5 - Mike was not asked to leave over less than $5 in tax.  Please.  I clearly addressed this in the review.  It was because I'd had it with his utter lack of respect/being argumentative, and asking for a fuel fee that was not disclosed. He has since followed up for the tax, which I responded he can bill me for.  Despite my refund from Living Social, and the fact that he could easily deduct 5 bucks from his $69 profit? Hassling me for $4.50 is probably another clue that this company?s priorities are off. 

    The no-show/no call was not addressed in Mike?s response.  I lost an hour of my work day while I waited, yet was more than understanding to book again, vs. cancel based on the experiences so far.  A lot of customers would have done so.  I?m not as ?difficult? as is suggested, but I do expect basic customer service.  Of 78 reviews I've written in the last six years, I've given 55 A ratings,12 B, and just two F.  For me to rate a company so poorly, I assure you, it takes a lot.  It?s too bad this has taken so much of his and my time.

    Kevin is the most professional,thorough and courteous service provider you can imagine. He returns inquiries promptly, comes when he says he will, calls is he might be late etc, and the quality of his work is amazing! I'm not sure my floors were ever this clean! I was so impressed I kept a stack of cards and I'm handing them out. Highly, highly recommend for any cleaning needs. :)

    Good Experience.  I recieved a prompt call back and got a quote in a reasonable period of time.  About a month later I was ready.  We set up a time and the job was completed in 4 days. Everyone was professional and friendly.  The floor looks excellent!
