    The Small Jobs Company LLC
We have hired Jeff several times to complete various home projects as well as painting rooms. He's has hung large mirrors, secured stair rails, repaired holes in walls, run cables, repaired framing, replaced drywall, installed closet doors, and installed new dryer filter. Jeff's attention to detail is what really stands out right away. He presents detailed estimates and invoices with no surprises. He talks you through each step of the project and leaves your house spotless. There has not been one task we presented to Jeff that he could not complete. We would highly recommend The Small Jobs Company!

    Better Built Basements LLC
Excellent. From the beginning (quote process) to the final finishes, Better Built Basements handled everything and was executed flawlessly. We liked that they had extensive experience in basement finishes, bathroom installs, and doing massive digs to create egress window. Their website was very good because it showed many examples of their work. During the construction period (2.5 months) the employees were extremely available and friendly if anything came up, and they were always punctual. Better Built also did not outsource any part of the job so all of the crew was on the same page with timing and hand-offs (framing to drywall to electric etc.). The company uses an app to track the construction plan for the day/week etc, which was very helpful for us to plan around some of the major construction events (drilling, etc.) so our kids wouldn't be impacted (naps, playdates, etc.). The entire experience was very positive, we were extremely happy with the final result, the construction ended on time, and now we have more space in our house for our family and guests. I highly recommend Better Built Basements for basement finishing and egress window construction.

    BC Andersen
Extremely well. BC Andersen was very courteous and punctual. The work performed was excellent craftsmanship. Brad provided extra services of picking up supplies and replacing those that were not desirable. Very easy to work with and very responsive. Would definitely hire again. Master bath was more than the guest bath. Approximately 12K not including materials.

    Classic Construction Group
I found Classic Construction Group on the internet. The company had great reviews. German Ruiz, the owner, promised excellent work at a price little higher than market. He promised that all his subcontractors were going to be licensed. I should have known something was wrong when he presented a single page contract. None of his subcontractors were licensed. He used the cheapest material despite products defined and agreed to in the architectural drawings and contract. His crew was learning on the job--lacked basic craftsmanship. All his flooring ended up warped (see pic) and had to be replaced. He also kept extorting us to pay or else he would not finish the job. We ended up firing him and hiring another group to fix his many mistakes. He still sent us his full bill and demanded that we pay. I've worked with many contractors on different homes. He was by far the worst experience I've had.

    Better Built Basements LLC
Excellent. Project took about six weeks start to finish. End result was that the finished basement looked awesome. Family/kids now have a lot more space. Everyone from Better Built that worked on the basement was professional, courteous, responsive, and just really nice the whole time. We also really appreciated having a live schedule (via the smartphone app) so we knew what to expect in throughout the construction. We are just really happy with how it turned out and how there werent really any snags or delays during the construction.

    Cedarwood Construction Inc
It was a pleasure working with Jim to renovate our full bathroom and we are very happy with the results. Almost everything in the bathroom was original to our 1952 home, including the pipes in the basement so it was a big job that included demolition, pipe replacement, new floorboards, tiling, sheet rock, new recessed lights, fan installation, custom vanity installation (cabinet and counter top by contractors Jim recommended), plumbing installations, etc. I had never gone through a renovation before but I had full confidence that Jim was going to do right in advising us on each detail in the process, including recommending vendors he had relationships with. He was there every day from start to finish and the job was completed on time and on budget which was much appreciated since we were without a shower during the renovation. Jim has been doing this for a long time and his experience is evident in the work he does. I would gladly hire Jim again for any other home renovations we undertake. I will post before and after pictures of the job once we get the bathroom painted!

HKD Home & Kitchen Design inc.
HKD was professional and polite throughout the entire time that the construction was being completed. Workers finished on time, got going with work right away, and were very organized. The price for the work provided was more than reasonable, and the work done shows just that. There was no issue with professionalism, and I would definitely hire HKD for future projects.

Rob distributed some of his business cards and we happened to have just purchased a new home that needed some things done, so we decided to give him a call. We contacted Rob to complete a list of about 10 items throughout the house. They included switching out some old lighting fixtures with more modern ones, installing new ceiling fans in place of some old ceiling fans, installing a pet door, hanging curtain rods, and installing a new storm door. Initially, he made a great impression. His response time was excellent, he was very nice and seemed professional. He sent us an itemized quote which I felt was fair in price. He could start right away, which was fantastic. We had all the light fixtures placed next to where they were to be installed, verbally went over the job, and told him to contact us if there were any issues that needed addressing while we were out at work. We anticipated the project as a whole would probably take a few days to complete. To our dismay, we receive a text message from Rob stating that the work was over his head and he wasn't able to complete it, so he left, with the work in progress. (Mind you, one of the items on the list that he "wasn't able to complete" was hanging curtain rods.) The state in which he left our house was unbelievable. He had half-assembled two of the in-box ceiling fans, left little nuts and bolts all over the beds in the bedrooms to the point where even if we hire someone else, we don't even know if all the parts are there. There were pieces of old ceiling fans and broken light fixtures all over the floor. As he had taken down the light fixtures in the bedrooms, I came home from work at 10PM to find no lights in the bedrooms whatsoever, so we went out and bought table lamps to use temporarily. There are holes with exposed wires hanging out of our ceilings. The cat door, screened door, and curtain rods were thankfully never started - or I'm sure he would have left us with a hole in our back door and half-assembled curtain rods on the bed. We have called, left voicemails, and texted every single day since this happened and he refuses to acknowledge our messages or respond to us. I don't write reviews often unless they are positive, but this was without doubt the most unprofessional experience with any contractor in any field I have ever experienced, and I want to warn others in our neighborhood so they don't make the same mistake. Note: The "cost of service" listed was the quoted number. Thankfully we did not give him any money upfront.
