It's often the simple things that matter. Being courteous to your customers shouldn't be that hard, especially when you are clearly in the wrong. When the tile installer came out, he was confused by the size of the tile, as they sent 4 foot tile (not the 18" tile we ordered!) to go into a small bathroom. My wife called the store and rather than apologize the owner stated that this was absolutely what we ordered. This is not a my word vs. your word situation because even the installer's work order said 18"x6". My wife was incredulous. And by the way, this was the second time they screwed up the tile size . Fortunately, the installer was a professional, and took the time to cut the tile and come back the next day. It gets even better in that the next day the owner called and asked us how it went., as if nothing happened. My wife told her that she was disappointed in how she was treated, and rather than apologize the owner said she had not yelled at my wife. The closest she came to apologize was saying she had a bad day. Needless to say, we will not do business with them again, which is unfortunate because the installers did a great job.

They worked with my scheduling needs and gave me credit for prep work that I did on my own.  Bruce and Jocelyn (sales associates) were patient and helped me find what I was looking for.  Rick installed my carpet and did an excellent job.  I'm not young and have always had carpet.  I can definitely say that this was the highest quality carpet installation I have ever had.

    Mr Hardwood
Rob was very customer focused and provided lots of information when he met with me to go over the details of the floor refinishing.  I was concerned because I was not going to be at the house when the work was performed.  Rob asked me to provide a detailed list of what I wanted, and to leave it at the house. The crew member who performed the work (Matt) called me during the job to confirm what choice of finish I wanted, and even offered to apply finish to two thresholds near the work area, so that they would complement the floor.  I am extremely pleased with the workmanship.  The floors look fantastic, and I can't believe that Matt was able to sand the stair treads smooth, as they were extremely worn.  Matt sanded and applied finish in a perfectly straight edge in every transition to the other room floors, so I don't need to do anything more to those doorways.  Mr Hardwood exceeded my expectations.  My only suggestion is for Rob to advise customers to cover any items that they don't want dust to settle on.  Even though they did a very good job of cleaning up, it's not truly "dustless".  This is not a complaint, just something to know so that it won't catch customers by surprise.  Because the floor being refinished was in the center of the house, pretty much the entire first floor was open, as we needed to remove doors where sanding would take place.  So a bit of sanding dust was on my kitchen counters and some other areas of the house.  I expected some sanding dust. so this wasn't a surprise.  It was obvious that Matt wiped down many of the surfaces outside of the sanding area after the job (our piano, furniture, etc.).  I highly recommend Mr Hardwood, and will gladly hire Rob and his crew again when I have a floor that needs refinishing.

    J Haley and Sons LLC
We had a great experience with this contractor! They were easy to work with, helped us understand our options, were reasonably priced, and their experience showed in the high quality of work. They have experience in all aspects of home improvement so were able to handle whatever my need (framing, plumbing, tiling, roofing, etc.) very impressive.  What really made this contractor stand apart from most others was the fact that they showed up on time, every day and stayed until the job was done. They were friendly and respectful and treated my house with the same care they might their own. I would highly recommend John Haley and will definitely hired him for future home improvement projects.

    Bauhaus Construction
We worked with Oliver for several months before deciding on the final project. It began the beginning of July and we were promised everything would be complete by the end of August, which was very important. Thankfully we discovered the basement had a major water problem in June before renovations began. Oliver found a good contractor who specialized in waterproofing basements. It was not inexpensive but we wanted to protect our investment if we were to go forward with the project. The project finally began with the basement and flowed along but not always as quickly as we would have liked. The basement was completed at the end of August and the bathroom renovation began the beginning of September. We did add a  bit  of extra work while Oliver was in the house. He widened a narrow doorway to another room, installed new wood baseboard in our dining room, fixed vinyl flooring and vinyl baseboard trim where we had relocated a baseboard heating unit. All of the subcontractors that came to work at the house were all pleasant and professional and did good work. Oliver's two assistants do very good work and pay attention to detail and final product. Oliver went above and beyond what we asked him to do. We had hired another contracted to install a ventilation system which required making a vent through the cement basement wall. The installer did his job but did not make complete his final work to look nice. This bothered Oliver that the installer could leave a job like this and took it upon himself to seal the outside wall and finish the inside so that the baseboard woodwork was cut custom to fit around the ventilation unit and he put in special covers to guide the once dangling plug-in wire to look neat against the unit. I was very pleased that the under stair closet was finished with paint and vinyl flooring and baseboard woodwork, the large closet was finished nicely complete with lighting. Oliver and his assistants installed the shelving for our new large storage room. Over the weekend we had to make adjustments which meant unscrewing and repositioning bars. Oliver saw the holes, patched and repainted them which we did not ask him to do but he takes pride in his work. Another day, Oliver was waiting on the building inspector in order to go forward with the project. Instead of sitting around he got out his pressure washer and proceeded to power wash our whole house, the deck and the two picnic tables and the deck furniture! What a treat and so unexpected! That impressed me. All the attention to detail impressed us and convinced us what a good honest person Oliver was to work with. He really takes pride in his work and likes to leave the job knowing he made you happy and satisfied with his work. The job was finally complete in the middle of October, which was difficult and the major drawback but I have to say that we are very happy with the craftsmanship and quality of the work Oliver and his crew did here. I could write a lot more detail because Oliver was here a long time but I will end it here on a good note.

    Fabulous Floors Inc
I wasn't pleased with them at all. I wanted something that was hard as nails but they didn't do that at all. I continue to be unhappy with the floor because if you breathe on it, it scratches. It is nice and you don't find out about these things until after some time. I called them about refinishing it but they said my wood floor cleaner dulled it all up. They may be fine for some people, but they didn't do what I wanted them to do.

    Schneider's Flooring America
It was an okay experience. They used the linoleum that I asked them to as the kick board underneath the vanity, and that has came off. It wasn't great. The guy that came in and measured said that we had to take the existing flooring out. The people that came in to do the work said that we should have left it on.
