Washer Wizzards Home Appliance repair and Service
The issue with the repair of the refrigerator was the cost of the parts, and the lack of openess on the part of the owner, James LaFleur after the repair regarding parts costs. Washer Wizzards  uses a "Suggested Appliance Repair Charge Book" that cannot be accessed unless you are a "member". Searching through Google and appliance manufacturer parts catalogs reveals costs of parts to be between $25.00 to $59.00.  The "Suggested Appliance Repair charge"  parts numbers do not match any part #'s from  original equipment supplier which  are all different. Washer Wizzards charged $249.20 for part, plus weekend service call and tax for a total of $384.85. I feel that James LaFleur is price gouging especially since he has refused to give me a part # unless I pay him  $39.95 to "research" the part number and then pay an additional charge to come back out to the house to "field verify" the part number that was installed! To date I have not been able to get a "good" part number from him. While I will admit that service was prompt I feel that the process of "hiding" part  numbers so consumers can't verify what work was done or a fair price charged  is an attempt to scam the consumer. The failure of this company to even tell you what the part # is so you can obtain a replacement (part just plugs in) in case it is needed in the future is just abhorrent!
The service tech was friendly enough but not totally sure of herself. I was somewhat disappointed when she said she would not replace the clip securing the overload relay since it was the "only way to determine if it had been replaced" She also tried to replace the cover on the back of the refrigerator upside down until I pointed it out to her.
I would definitely not use Washer Wizzards  again
