I had my kitchen sink back up. I called and talked to an extremely professional receptionist around 10am who took all of my information and told me someone would call me.
It took a little over 4 hours and the man who called apologized for the amount of time and seemed to assume I would have called someone else. I told him I hadn't, and being easy going in general I said it was fine. He told me that hs could come out the following day between 1-3. This was fine.
At 1:30 the plumber on duty called and let me know he was on his way, and he arrived well inside of his window. He told me at that point that the "flat" rate for a snake was $350 dollars. Now, listen. I looked it up before he got here, and I have hires plumbers before. H***, I have snaked my own lines before. I was assuming about $150-$200. You know, $75 for travel, $74 an hour. But he was here, and I didn't feel like there was much to be done about it.
The gentleman who was here was extremely professional, he did the task (as uncomplicated as it was) well. I inquired about the pricing after having paid him and he said that I could talk to his boss. Well, at this point it just wasn't worth it to me and the job seems to have been done.
I said I would use them again, and I think I would. I would however be considerably more conversational about pricing BEFORE I did so.

Triple A came at time agreed. Said they had to jackhammer the frozen ground near septic tank to run the snake from there rather than running the snake from the toilet. This added approx. $500 to the price. They also ran a camera through the line that added another $350. They found 2 places where the plumbing pipes weren't glued together. This added another $300. Triple A also stated that all of my plumbing had to be replaced because of a 'negative flow'. To do this would cost $3,600 dollars. This is a 900 sq. ft. ranch. They did clear the blocked drain. I called another plumber in the area to see if he thought my plumbing needed to be replaced due to a 'negative flow' & he told me that the plumbing was fine.
