They did excellent work. They were helpful when we needed to make a decision on what to do if there was a problem. They were very neat and responsible. They carefully moved our things when necessary for painting, and put everything back when they were done. We kept adding new things to be done because they do such good work. We highly recommend them.

Project went well and we are very happy with outcome
Professional, written estimates were provided for all work
Steve is very thorough and will take the time needed to find solutions that homeowners are happy with
In deciding whether to invest in propane tanks v building a chimney for existing oil furnace that was loud & poorly vented, Steve helped us find best solution because he is patient & really listens to concerns and frustrations.
Unlike other providers we have worked with, he is not trying to get in/get out, he is very personally invested in a successful outcome.

Also, Steve's attention to detail ensured a smoother process. When we encountered some difficulty with the paving company, Steve made sure they were meticulous and watched every step of the job. He uses quality subs and many times the painter, plumber and electrician checked with me on job satisfaction, clarifications, etc

Obviously the subs he uses have worked with him for a long time and there is mutual trust there.

It was so-so. I was not really impressed with it. The guy came in, did the measurements and then he had something else going on that he had to take care of. So it was quite a while before he gave us his plots. It was a pretty simple drawing. At the end, we did our own measurements and went to the cabinet company. They came up with a much better plot. We did that with Home Depot and another cabinet company. At the end of the day, it seems I got much more, going to Home Depot or the other cabinet company than this deal. Home Depot was willing to send someone for the measurements for $49. But because I already had my measurements, they just used my measurements to do the plots. So it was free. The free one was better than this deal, to be honest. Maybe, at the time, he had some personal things or some other business to take care of. He was not super responsive either. They need to be more responsive. The second thing is, the design was really not that great. Home Depot gave me a 3-D view design, just right there, when I gave the measurements. They gave me this 3-D design with all the different angle views. It was much better than just the sketch. So the service was not that great. It was not very professional.

We really would like to give CT Handyman Construction a good review, however, similar to a previous review, we just haven't heard back from them since they stopped by to take a look at the house.  The owner initially picked up the phone quickly and looked at our house on 4/30.  We informed him that we are very interested in starting the projects soon.  The owner promised the quote will be provided quickly in a few days.  We waited for 12 days and then followed up last week (5/12) to see the status of the estimate.  Again, the owner informed us that the quote will be provided by the end of last week (5/15?).  This is now Wednesday, 5/20, and we STILL do not have an estimate.
This is very frustrating.  For all of you who have been through this process, you spend an hour with the vendor walking them through what you want, and you expect a quote back.  Had I known we would not have a response back from CT Handyman Construction (or I have to chase them down to get one), I would not have spent the initial hour with them.  Look, we are all busy, I honestly do not have time to random chit-chat with someone and invite them to your house if I am not interested.
However, I guess I am lucky that we didn't start a project with them.  The worst thing is if I start something, and THEN you have to chase them down to complete it or waiting on them to give you something.  This way, we learn quickly and never again.

They came exactly at the time they said they would, worked hard and kept things really clean, and cleaned up before they left each time. They were always willing to do what we asked and were easy to schedule and to work with, and as quiet as anyone can be while doing work (i.e. no loud music blasting, etc.) They were all nice and seemed to be enjoying what they were doing and cared about doing a great job.

Previously we  also used Scott and his team and they replaced a carpet floor with a hard wood floor, and did paint and some trim in a room.

All of our projects with LTB properties have gone incredibly well. Home renovation is stressful and disruptive - working with Scott Church at LTB properties makes it as smooth and easy as possible. For the most recent project, we contacted Scott to get an estimate on tile maintenance work in our kitchen as well as a full remodel of the tile in one of our bathrooms. We easily scheduled a time for a walk-through and then received an estimate a few days later. We worked with Scott via email and phone to ask questions and align on the work that would be performed and to set up a start date for the work. Scott and his team are very professional and worked with us to make sure that everything was up to our expectations and standards. I think that's an essential difference between LTB and other companies we've worked with - they're accountable. They show up when they say they will, perform the work discussed and stand behind their work. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again and recommend both LTB properties and Scott highly.

Overall, we are very happy with our new bathroom and decided to hire Jim to remodel another, smaller bathroom on the first floor of our house.  He will be completing that project within the next couple of weeks.
In terms of the actual remodeling effort, there were a number of hiccups, but Jim was responsive and willing to work with us to address any problems and challenges that arose.  We were trying to complete the project in a four-week time frame right before Christmas.  We had received estimates from three different contractors, but Jim was the only one who was willing to try to complete the job by our deadline.
Jim started work immediately and had the demolition phase completed in two days.  Unfortunately, Jim's main assistant suffered a knee injury right before our project started and was unavailable to help him with the remodeling effort.  Jim put in extra time and effort and managed to complete almost all of the work by our deadline.  Even though he was the lone resource working on the project, Jim still managed to come up with a plan to improve the layout of our bathroom.  He came up with an idea to move the toilet to create more space and to modify one of the walls to allow for a deeper vanity with more storage.  The result was a bathroom that seemed larger, was more comfortable to use, and had more storage.
After the demolition phase, it became apparent that a lot of old, galvanized plumbing pipes would have to be replaced in order to make the bathroom function properly.  Jim's plumber was not available to do the work within our time frame, so Jim used his own plumbing skills to complete the work.  Although this delayed Jim's efforts with the other remodeling work, it was a necessary step in order to have a bathroom ready in time for the holidays.
Another hiccup during the project occurred when the vanity top we ordered turned out to be a poor fit for the corner space it was intended to occupy.  Jim put us in touch with a stone works vendor and helped expedite the process of getting a new, customized vanity top built.  Although it was not ready in time for the holidays, it was ready soon after and was a better quality top than the first one we ordered from a different vendor.
The net result of Jim's work was a new bathroom that we are very happy with.  We're hoping (and expecting) that Jim's remodeling effort with our second bathroom will produce the same satisfying result.

Our large, main family bathroom renovation was just completed by Landmark Design and we couldn?t be happier. The bathroom was original to the house (1972) and needed to be completely gutted. We called owner Rocco Umbro to make an appointment, he responded immediately, came to see the job , and promptly provided us an estimate. The estimate and contract were straightforward and easy to understand. Rocco advised when he could start, all the necessary steps, tradespeople needed, and  how long it would take. He kept in contact with us right up to when he actually started the job which was on the day promised.  We knew exactly when he or one of the other tradesmen were coming. They showed up as promised  and scheduled throughout the renovation. We had two separate material delays mid-project, but Rocco adeptly managed to work us back into the schedule to finish within the time frame promised. The bathroom turned out beautifully and we are completely satisfied with the workmanship and overall experience.  Rocco, his son, and the other tradesmen were excellent.  The tile work is beautiful. We would definitely hire  Landmark Design again for any other project and would not hesitate to highly recommend him to others.
