    Mike Barrett Plumbing LLC
Mr. Barrett is a wonderful plumber and heating professional. You cant find a more honest, fair and trustworthy individual and you can trust him to fix your plumbing and heating issues! He did multiple repairs and replacements at the home we were selling in Danbury and went above and beyond with advising us on realistic and budget-friendly repair options. He not only fixed and replaced the items we needed, but also he identified other emergency issues that we werent aware of due to living in a different state which saved us from frozen and burst pipes and having to buy a new furnace in our recently remodeled home. We cant say enough wonderful things about him and his expertise! Thank you again for the wonderful job, Mr. Barrett. We truly appreciate it!!

    Jennings Oil Co
We did a fair amount of research on brands and units and had a good idea of what we wanted. From our readings, we realized that the installer was as or even more important than the equipment so we researched many installers within a certain radius of our home, from independent plumbers to local oil companies. Quality work was equally important as price, but quality installation and service were our main drivers. After meeting with three different vendors, we chose Jennings Oil for a number of reasons. We met with Eric Olsen, Jennings' Installation and Sales Manager, and were very comfortable with his knowledge and recommendations. We haggled a bit on the price of the units and installation and felt the final price was fair. They were also more competitive than our current oil provider so we decided to use Jennings as our sole provider of oil and service. We were very happy that everything Eric outlined and committed to in terms of timing and installation was strictly adhered to and installation went very smoothly. The team was pleasant, professional and neat, and we especially liked having Eric on site for the install. Since we had the installation in June, we of course only utilized hot water. We did have a minor issue develop a few days after installation involving the oil feed line to the burner which resulted in a little fuel oil leaking onto the floor and a smell of oil. What is comforting to us is the quick response from Jennings when we called Service. They came promptly and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. We also received a call back from Eric to ensure that everything was satisfactory. We'd also like to mention how pleasant everyone at Jennings has been while setting up our new account for oil delivery, etc. We are very happy with our decision to go with Jennings. And now that the weather has cooled and we can finally try out our oil burner, everything is working beautifully.

Mike and his team did a great job, everything was well planned and coordinated. Mike and his team operate like a well oiled machine! They arrived 10 minuets early, the new boiler arrived 10 minuets later. The old unit was disconnected, removed and hauled away within the first 30 minuets and the team started installing the new system. I am glad that I did my due diligence and found Mike Barrett! Mike is a true pro and I highly recommend his services! Chris (Danbury CT) PS: He was way less expensive that the big oil companies

I called Mike following a disappointing visit from another plumbing company that seemed more interested in selling me some sort of maintenance contract than actually fixing the problem. I won't make that mistake again! Mike Barret Plumbing is my go-to contact any time I need expertise in plumbing or heating. This was possibly the worst kind of problem to solve because it was intermittent and difficult to replicate. When I called him and described the boiler and the symptoms, he said that it should be no problem, but he would contact the manufacturer for assistance if it became necessary. That promise was satisfying, but he knew exactly how to attack the problem and since his visit there have been no more issues. He was very professional in his conduct, was extremely knowledgeable in how to find the problem, and left with a promise to return if there were any further problems. There was no need for a follow-up because he left it working in like-new condition. It is satisfying in today's economy to find an honest man who takes pride in his craft and understands customer service.

Lewis was very responsive.  Quick to respond via note to the Angie's List message. He was able to come on a short notice, troubleshoot the issue, fix and verify that everything is working well. He seems very experienced, knowledgeable and professional.

    MALANGONE PLUMBING, LLC
We submitted a request for a service with our water heater on Tuesday, 9/29/2015.
The company indicated that the soonest they can come on site is on Friday, 10/2/2015.
On Friday 10/2/2015, the plumber diagnosed the issue and determined that a valve needs to be replaced. They promised the tenant to order the part and return to complete the repair.
When I called back on Thursday, 10/8/2015, the company representative reviewed the records and determined that the serial number that was recorded by the plumber on Friday, 10/2/2015 was not valid, and they could not order the needed part. They asked me to get in touch with the tenant to get an image with the Serial Number sticker (and that?s SIX days after their own visit,
while the family is living without hot water!!).
My impression that this company is not motivated and not well organized to stay on top of their processes to make sure that the client requests are addressed timely. The company was not timely with ordering the part as, and after discovering their own mistake with not recording the serial number correctly, not being proactive and responsible with trying to fix the issue.
As of right now the family has been without hot water, since the original request was submitted - 10 (!) days, and we don?t have an outlook on how soon the issue will be resolved.
    Very disappointing experience so far..

I DO NOT HAV HIS RECEIPT, I DO NOT  HAVE THE ESTIMATE HE WROTE BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER USE HIM AGAIN BUT COULD PROBABLY FIND IT IF I SPENT AN HOUR LOOKING WHICH I AM NOT GOING TO DO.......
He flushed the water heater. The he inspected my house and found a leak in the cold water feed in my dressing room sink also  said he could install an alarm so it would go off if the water heater leaked. Told him it takes far too long for the hot water to get to my kitchen sink, he was going could install a heater of some kind under my sink eventhough I asked him why he couldn't just tap off the pipe from the heater which is not even 5 feet from the kitchen sink whereas now it goes from about 25+ feet away from where the original nwater was located..
He said he couldn't do that, no reason why. So I made an appointment with him to come back the following week and do the work and he gave me a written estimate. He called the morning of the appointment and said his truck broke down and jokingly said:"A plumber is no good without his truck."  I would think I would b upset if I was him but thats just me. He said he would reschedule when the truck was fixed. Well that was about a year ago) and I never heard from him again. DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER. I THREW AWAY HIS ESTIMATE BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER LET HIM IN MY HOUSE AGAIN. Angie, he SHOULD NOT be on your list..

The toilet work was straightforward.  The sink clog seemingly was not complicated.  Its drain flowed freely after plunging and addition of chemical cleaner, but then black water came out of the tub drain.  A pipe in an access panel was opened and snaking was attempted.  After yeoman effort Barrett's plumbers could not break through the blockage and recommended a particular drain cleaning service for its reputation and price.  They came promptly and successfully broke through the clog.  Barrett returned to reconnect the entry pipes and charged only "for their successes".  Their plumbers were timely, courteous, tidy and knew their limits.  We're very satisfied both with their work and their very fair pricing and have already asked them to return and install a recycle line on the hot water heater.  We can recommend Mike Barrett Plumbing without reservation.

Besides the fact that he showed up late (which was slightly annoying because he never called to let us know he was running late), he was very friendly and got to his work as soon as he arrived. He met all of our expectations as far as the work was concerned.

So far, two days later, we are satisfied with the solutions he presented for our problem and the work he did to our hot water heater. We would recommend him to anyone in need of a plumber in the future and would call him again with any plumbing issues.

With good reports from Angie?s List and the Better Business Bureau I contacted Mike Barrett Plumbing for an estimate to replace a failing hot water heater. The price was fair for the type of unit that I needed. Mike Barrett was helpful in answering my questions and provided me with a quote quickly. He scheduled the install the next business day and showed up on time. The installation took the time that he estimated. He and his assistant were professional and left the work area clean. I would recommend Mike Barrett Plumbing and would use him again.
