Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Danbury

    Taylor Morgan Door Co
Charged my card $510 for a garage door section, showed up with the section that was too short saying they would be back and they never returned. I called them months later and they said they would take care of it, but never gave me a refund. We?ve since had to take them to small claims court.

    Lecla Home Improvements LLC
This was a big project for us, and Lecla delivered. We couldn't be happier with the diligence and responsiveness of Luis and his team, and the brand-new appearance of our home. The work was done quickly and with great attention to detail. There was good communication throughout the job, which went on for about three weeks. Lecla utilized its own people or else brought in very solid people for every trade: roofing, vinyl siding, gutters, windows, entryway doors, garage doors, giving fresh life to our deck, and some interior sheet rocking and painting, along with foundation painting and sealing. Everything was of very good quality, and the workers were all very careful to protect our property and our stonework. Their price was reasonable, not a lowball number but not excessive either, particularly in Fairfield County, CT. I highly recommend Lecla for both their work and their people.

    Danbury Overhead Door Inc
Awesome! They showed up on time (was given a 2 hour window). He told me the cables came in pairs, they were $24.00 each and he could have it completed in 1/2 hour. 15 minutes later he was done. Door works perfectly!

    Advantage Overhead Doors
Originally paid for inspection / tune-up for door that was getting stuck at times.  Determined it needed a new motor.  Very accommodating to set an appointment, and made an effort to fit the job within my work schedule.  Installation went smooth and quick and left the area clean.  Scott is a good guy that will do what he can to satisfy his customers.  I highly recommend.

    CT Handyman Construction
When my husband and I decided to purchase a foreclosure, we knew we had a huge project ahead of us. We consulted with a few general contractors before finding Don of Connecticut Handyman. Overall, we worked together on the house for over 11 months. When you have a job of this size and duration, you need to work with someone you trust. We could not be happier with our choice in hiring Don. As expected with any large construction project there were several hidden surprises. Don always seemed to find a way to make everything work without blowing the budget.  He was so helpful in every step of the way and his experience and vision
helped us make the home of our dreams.  He worked with city hall in getting our permits and was available for the inspector when they wanted to see the house. We really felt like he was right there with us during this entire endeavor. He knew we had a tight budget and made sure he used subcontractors that were willing to be fair and understanding of our position. When we originally interviewed general contractors for this job, some people made us feel this was impossible. As soon as we met Don, he was honest, supportive and always optimistic. When we were finally ready to move in, he was as happy for us as we were. We really could
not have gotten through this without him. There is still much to do and have already made plans for him to come back next year.

Snow had been plowed and piled up in front of one of our garage doors; and in spring, it could not be opened with the remote control.
I called Bethel Overhead Door to come to see if it had been damaged by the snow plow last winter.
They came within a day or two, and arrived within the hour time slot they'd reserved.
They showed us that it was not damaged, and that it, only, needed regular service.
Serviced both garages within 30 minutes...

Garage Doors of Fairfield County LLC (Cadra's)
I purchased a 'Deal' on Angie's List for a Garage Door Tune-up with Wheel Replacement. Instead of contacting me to make the appointment, this company instead sent me an email asking ME to call THEM to make an appointment. Odd, but OK, I did so. He told me because I was farther away from him than a buddy of his, he was going to instead give this job to a colleague of his who would come out the next day. So, that guy called me, but said he could not come the next day and made an appt with me for Tuesday instead. At the time of the appointment on Tuesday, he called to say he was unable to make it to that appt and re-scheduled for Thursday after next. On the following Wednesday he called the cancel the appointment for Thursday as
well. At that point, I contacted Cadra's by email and advised them what was going on and asked them to please call me and see if they could just come and do the job themselves as I had originally purchased from them. That was 4 weeks
ago and they still have not gotten back to me. Neither has the 'colleague' called me back to follow up and re-schedule either. Unbelievable.
At that point, I contacted Angie's List to see if they could give me a refund. They suggested instead that they would like to try to find someone else to do the job instead. I was fine with that since I DO still want this job done! They were running an identical deal for $1 more with a different company so I said it would be great if they'd just put me with that deal instead. Another week goes by, nothing. I contacted Angie's List again and they said they were working on it and to give them 7-10 business days to do so. OK- I wait. Finally at 5:15pm on the 10th and final day they send me an email saying that they have processed a refund. (What happened to the other company doing the job instead?) I check my credit card, no refund. I wait a
few days and the refund does finally appears on my account. Angie's List said they would also contact Cadra's regarding the refund (I'm sure they have to re-coup $$ from them first) I thought maybe THAT would prompt a phone call from them but , no - nothing.
So! Here I am months later, no garage door service or anything else for all of that trouble. Not only can I not recommend this company, I cannot recommend purchasing one of the 'Deals' on Angie's List either! Talk about disappointed all the way around. :-(
(and p.s. - I realize this is not the sort of job where this company would make a profit, but I would think the point is to get their name out there and make contacts, get good reviews on Angie's List and possibly get future business and not-for-nothin' this is a condo complex and I am on the Board of Directors so, not saying that it WOULD have turned into something, but it surely could have. Now, it definitely will not - just sayin'...)

    Precision Overhead Garage Door Service
We upgraded because the door needed a major overall, one spring was broken and they just enhanced it. It went well and I'd recommend the company. I got an appointment within a couple of days of calling them. They were on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were friendly and professional. I was satisfied with the price.

    Pickering Construction LLC
He showed up a few minutes before schedule and repaired a broken boat garage door. He worked efficiently and quickly. I appreciated that he communicated to me each step in the process when appropriate. Then there was an additional need for the garage opener repair. Steven took apart the entire opener, went out to replace the broken parts and reset everything. He also gave me the name of someone for other work I asked about in a different specialty than his. In short I appreciate his thoroughness, professionalism and he got the job done at a very reasonable price.

Town & Country Door & Operator Co
Our architect recommended the company because we had an angled garage roof line. The owner worked with us to find the proper track, and electric operators. The doors are beautiful. Great local company.
