Dr. Sclafani has knowledge that goes beyond the diploma.  His practical knowledge along with his instincts make him a most trusted and invaluable doctor.  He performs the intake, then uses his hands to guide him to any problem areas.  His years of expertise, along with his natural instinctual talent result in muscular-skeletal alignment every time.

I've been visiting there office off and on for the last few years and have never been disappointed. Dr. Jean and Dr. Nick are both very nice individuals who genuinely care for the patients. I have been treated by both of them and they each have an excellent bedside manner.
I always feel great after leaving their office. I get adjustments, muscle stimulation, and end with a few minutes on the roller table (my favorite) part. I don't know that the treatments can do anything for my scoliosis, but I do know that I always feel much better physically and mentally after an adjustment. I don't go as often as I would like because I live in Danbury and their office is in Monroe. I highly recommend them. I had visited several other chiropractic offices before settling on this one and found them to be the least pushy and the most considerate.
If I had one criticism, it would have to be related to billing. I have had a couple of occasions where I was overcharged and to get those dollars back was a chore and took several calls to the insurance company and several calls to the office. Their office manager, Tina, is very nice and helpful, but they did have another person working in the office who was not so great. I don't believe she works there anymore, but she did give me a difficult time when it came to payments, overpayments, refunds, etc.
It wouldn't prevent me from going back, but I would just make sure you pay close attention to your payments.

On my first visit I had an X-Ray, an exam, and an adjustment. Looking at the X-rays I was told I had quite a bad misalignment in my very lower back. I was shown what the problem was. I was told I needed an extensive series of adjustments (3 X per week X 4 or 5 weeks). Now, I have to admit that at that point I was quite skeptical. and quot;OK, you give away quite a bit in a low price Groupon but then rook me in for weeks of sessionsand quot;. BUT, I realized as I started treatment just how bad my back was. You can get used to back pain and have it feel more minor than it is. As I went on, I realized I had been adjusting my posture to make up for the back pain and it was worse than I realized. Suddenly I wasn't hurting and noticing the posture changes I had been making to compensate. I'm on a regular plan with these people now and going with it but there are a few things which were less than great. The principal doctor, Louis Sclafani is a bit pushy and controlling. I felt kind of railroaded into the initial appointments. I feel like it has been the right right thing, but he had me booked before I even said I had time for this major commitment. That was a bit uncomfortable. A few times I waited a long time to get through for my appointment for them being over-booked. My time is precious and I found that really irritating and inconsiderate. However, that has been the exception and not the rule, or I probably would have dropped this practice. I have also had some confusion with billing and administration, not knowing what my copay should be, misplacing my chart... but eventually it all ironed out. No major issues. But still, it seemed a bit disorganized and unprofessional. These are the reasons it's a and quot;Band quot; and not an and quot;Aand quot;. But, they are helping me and it's been good enough to keep me coming back.
