    My mother and I were online searching for my first car, being that I am so young we decided to look for a used car. We came across car city in Danbury and found a Gold/Tan 2005 Nissan Maxima. Everything was just perfect, well thats how they made it seem. We were excited that it was in such good shape a such a great price. However we live about an hour and a half away so this wasn’t a quick trip. We spoke to Charlie (the owner) twice on the phone and he ensured that the car was there and that I could look at it. We got there after a two hour drive and looked at the car and it was keyed up. On the hood of the car, the B word was written across it and the A word on the side with key scratches all over. Charlie never mentioned this because we would’ve never came that far for that. Charlie tried to sweet talk us into just getting a Honda civic but obviously that’s not what I wanted. How could you try to sell a car that is keyed up without telling the buyer as if I would like to drive around with profanity on my first car!!! I would not recommend this place, that was very sleezy of Charlie!

    They charged me a lot, they always do. It's a BMW.? Not a lot, I don't know.? I have big service contract that I took out when I bought it. I couldn't even tell you how much.? The windshield was part of my insurance.??They are great.? All A's.? ?Everybody's very friendly, very personable. They assign me my own personal person that you deal with only about your repairs and your service. Everybody's very nice and they give me a courtesy car.? I like that.

    Excellent. They were extremely courteous. They were the most effective and courteous in the town. I'll be using him from now on as my regular mechanic. Very pleasant and trustworthy. He does a great business and he cares. He goes out of his way to make his customers happy.

    Worked with the owner Diane on purchasing a 2006 Porsche Cayman S. I had
    the vehicle pre-inspected by the mechanics at Danbury Porsche at my
    cost ($300) who gave the vehicle a clean bill of health. The very next
    day I drove out to Performance Imports  to visually inspect the car and
    take it for a test ride. Afterwards I worked with Diane on a punch list
    of small odds and ends the vehicle was missing and/or needed which she
    agreed to take care of. We observed some scratches on the rear bumper
    and it was decided that she would have her body shop look at this
    because there were some paint concerns matching colors. We agreed to
    speak later in the day which we did and i informed her that I would
    follow up with her first thing the next morning on whether or not I was
    going to purchase the car. She informed me that if someone came to the
    shop to look at the car, she would call me first before she made any
    The following day I sent two messages with via emal &
    txt informing Diane that I wanted to buy the car, my purchase offer,
    and willingness to give her a $1000 deposit to hold the car. I never
    heard back from Diane until late Monday morning, two days later when she
    advised me she had sold the car-
    Very unprofessional business
    practice. Unless your prepared to deal on the spot, don't trust their
    word. If you can afford to buy a pre-owned luxury automobile, my
    suggestion is, purchase your next car a dealership which is monitored
    & audited by the brand and take greater pride and integrity in the

    they are very good overall mechanics who work on a variety of cars that I own. They are professional, courteous, perform work within time frames given, at quoted costs. They are very good at keeping you updated as to the status of repairs throughout the day. They provide loaner cars, and I find the prices very reasonable considering that my cars are volvos and bmws, the repair of which can sometimes be very expensive.

    They have and extremely good customer status and they are good guys to work with all time. They have always been a hundred percent, no matter what. I have used them for years and years, I have a fleet of vehicles and it always has been one of the most pleasant experiences I have had and things get done when expected and if it doesn't they are very good at communicating with you, so you know what is going on and so far so.

    I have used Doug and Danbury Autowerks for over 20 years.  Extremely reliable, knows what he is doing and is fair and trustworthy.  If you want a great mechanic and one who services all makes and models, this is your guy!  Can't recommend him highly enough- you will be in good hands!

    The tow driver took 2 hours to get to us while we sat on the left shoulder of a very busy highway with high speed, rush hour, weekend traffic. Also, when the tow truck first approached us-  he zoomed by our vehicle and had to turn around exiting the highway to get back onto our side/direction . We were highly visible and the driver should've seen us as we gave an exact location for our vehicle and were in a huge white van with distinctive logos and green out of state plates (which are distinctive/unusual in that state as well).
    The driver took very few/marginal  safety precautions as well. He arrived in all black clothing with gloves with minimal reflective tape. He walked up the highway toward on-coming traffic during this rush hour traffic and put a two flares close behind the van. Had he been going slow enough on his approach to us - he should have stopped putting flares and cones up before getting to us. Because the tow truck was parked so close to the white line - we couldn't pass by the truck to get into the cab without getting into the interstate lane! We had us walk into the interstate left/passing lane saying that "they'll hit me before they hit you." Not a very comforting statement given our safety was put at risk.
    Very disappointing service - I wish AAA had called another provider. We were scared for our safety.

    John's Service Center always does a good job.  They are not one to up sell on service, they do what needs to be done and that is it.  They are easy to talk to, and take the time to explain everything that was done to my car.  They also return the car when they say they will.  I would recommend  John's Service Center to anyone else looking for a new mechanic.

    I have a Mazda that needed brakes. He mainly does Volvos

    but he did the job.He did a great job. Called when he said he would(very rare) very fair price, checked out rest of car.Said it was fine(very rare). Will use him again.
